《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 170: [ Monster King Resonance ]

Bataliel looked at his pierced chest as he sprayed a mouthful of blood. A look of shock and alarm colored his expression.
Allen, with his tail, pulled Bataliel’s body which was still struggling. As expected of a fallen angel.
Buwaaahh!!
Allen’s mouth once again opened and let out a breath but this time, it’s not water but freezing water, making Bataliel’s lower body into a Popsicle!
Bataliel mustered all his power but for some reason, the damage in his chest was actually tremendous as it had corrosion effect. What’s worse is that it was not healing!!
Bataliel’s alarmed gaze instantly went towards Allen. “You! What have you done to me!?”
Unfortunately, a draconic face cannot really show a clear grin or smile. “You guess…”
Ding! [ Robbing Failed! ]
Allen clicked his tongue while dodging the three-headed dragon’s assault with a movement like a fish swimming in the sea.
Bataliel started to do something while enduring the pain but Allen would stab him once or twice giving damage to him. He just couldn’t muster any power with the corrosion spreading through his body like a virus.
Ding! [ Robbing Failed ]!
Sh*t! You damn system! Ugh!
Allen was hit by the three-headed dragon’s fireballs but he endured, especially now that he had [ Flawless Restoration ] and continued dodging.
The three-headed dragon finally felt something wrong. What happened to Bataliel?
As he was chasing Allen and attacking him, at this moment;
All three of them were struck by a dizzy sensation causing their movements to stop.
Even Allen felt a headache and almost crushed Bataliel with his tail unintentionally.
--- ---
“Aren’t you staying neutral? Why are you doing this?!” A voice resounded in the three Monster King’s minds.
Then a scene appeared.
It was a man with a boar’s face – no, an Orc! It was an Orc.
He was lying on the ground, bleeding from all of his orifices and a large cut wound could be seen in his body. In other words, he was being attacked and might even be in the losing party. Beside him was a silver glaive that seemed to be a high-level magical weapon.

Then the scene changed. Seeing the other party’s appearance, Allen’s mind trembled.
The extremely familiar Insect Queen; Allen’s beloved woman, Alkrasha!
“Of course, however, if one died in the 12 Kings, don’t you think all will be well?” Alkrasha said with a bright smile. Some wounds could be seen on her body but nonetheless, none were fatal.
“The thirteenth won’t be called a Taboo King anymore, and the balance will once again be returned to normal… don’t you think?”
“The Taboo King?! Are you insane?! You, you will kill me for that taboo existence!?”
“More than enough…” Alkrasha said as she started walking towards the lying Orc.
“The, the others will know what you did if you kill me! You should know about the resonance! Bataliel and Ashetarah will hunt you down for revenge!!” The despaired Orc cried out in a desperate manner.
But Alkrasha wasn’t the least bit fazed. “The Monster King’s War had already Began. Our brothers and Sisters had started killing each other… one died earlier won’t mean anything…” Alkrasha showed a malicious smile.
“Still, be Honored Orc Lord, the 13th King, my beloved husband will replace your throne...”
“You damn!!” The Orc Lord endured his wounds and grabbed his glaive. He then rushed towards Alkrasha.
Poosh!!
The Orc Lord’s right arm and left leg were severed from its root in an instant.
“Too bad for you, the moment you were stung by my stinger, your death had already been confirmed, Orc Lord~” Alkrasha kicked the Orc Lords body to flip it when the Orc Lord suddenly took a dagger from somewhere and swing it.
Alkrasha didn’t expect for him to still have some strength and her leg was cut off. Alkrasha frowned as she stumbled back a bit.
However, what the Orc Lord was nothing but useless attempt as this kind of wound was nothing to her.
In a blink of an eye, Alkrasha’s cut limb was slowly regenerating. Like a butterfly coming out from its larva, his leg returned akin to a flower blooming.
“Useless action,” Alkrasha snorted. With a wave of her arm, the silver wind went towards the Orc Lord, cutting his head. “Blame your own inferiority, Orc Lord… from all the Monster Kings, you are, after all, the weakest who only know how to flatter the other Kings… wastrel!”

The image was slowly fading.
“This glaive seems good, should I give it to husband…?” Alkrasha cutely tilted her head.
And with that, the image disappeared from their minds.
--- ---
The three Monster Kings were rooted in their position as they looked in the air, in a daze. For some reason, the three of them have tears started flowing from their eyes.
Allen felt something crashed inside of him as he suddenly felt sad for an unknown reason.
Just what is going on? And that image? Alkrasha...?
As Allen was bewildered, he suddenly heard Azi Dahaka’s voice from the distance.
“The Earthshaker died…”
“Earthshaker? Do you mean that Orc Lord?” Allen asked in reflex.
“Indeed, the Orc Lord… also known as The Earthshaker.” Bataliel was the one who answered. “I guess, I will be following him…” He looked at Allen. There’s no hatred but instead, a regret or some sort of a helpless smile.
“What the hell are you? Your flexibility and diversity… *cough* you definitely resemble ‘it’ *cough*that man’s power…!”
He finally accepted his end after seeing the Orc Lords End. For some reason, his self-healing ability wasn’t working, and he was already on his last limb from the fatal wounds and the corrosion inside of him.
“You got me… in power and spirit… but I don’t hate you…”
Ding! At this moment, Allen received a prompt.
[ You have successfully robbed the skill [ Spear of Light ]! ]
“Human king, I know that this is shameless but I ask you, give me my death and don’t treat me as a livestock.” His voice had an unusual sharp on it. He was vaguely understanding as to why Allen had still left him alive.
“For you to have the ability to steal powers, what a dreadful monster you are…”
Allen looked at him. In the corner of his eyes, he was also looking at Azi Dahaka who seemed to be also looking at them.
Ding! [ You have successfully robbed the skill [ Deal With the Devil ]! ]
Allen sighed. “Alright but let me ask one thing, are you the one who incited this war?”
“… …” Bataliel momentarily widened his eyes. Then he laughed. “Hahaha, indeed I am. Master is coming, and in an instant, this peace you were experiencing will crumble into dust… hear me oh my brother, your existence is a taboo, my Master was also the same… you two might come to an agreement, though I will still wait for you in hell…”
“Who’s your master?”
“… …” Bataliel only smiled and didn’t answer. Allen knows that he won’t answer anymore as he sighed.
Puchi!!
Allen’s long tail pierced Bataliel from behind. The light reflected on his eyes turned dimmer, but still, a faint smile could be seen on his face.
“My brother,” He muttered. Even though the voice’s volume was like a whisper, somehow it entered into the ears smoothly without getting drowned out by other sounds. “Let me give you the interest…”
With a smile, Bataliel’s body was suddenly enveloped by a black haze and then slowly, this haze was absorbed into Allen’s body. Alarmed, Allen subconsciously let go of Bataliel’s body, causing it to start falling.
However, the haze was completely absorbed within Allen.
Ding! [ The Monster King Bataliel had given you the [ Curse of the Fallen ]. You cannot refuse! ]
Allen’s eyes widened in shock and disbelief.
Fallen?!
“Hahahaha, Brother, you’re too naïve!” He seemed to have heard Bataliel’s voice.
Allen looked down and saw Bataliel’s body falling, however, in his face was a malicious smile. “Fall into Darkness, brother… Fall. If not, you would never reach my Master… because he’s ahead of you, of us… Guha-!? Ahahahaha…!!”
Bataliel’s voice echoed in the entire battlefield.
“Ga-!? YOU DAM-- Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!”

Vemödalen: From The Other Side
War is coming - And when it comes - And where it comes - And whence it comes - The living shall envy the dead One to carry their sword in the name of their goddess and lady, to protect their land and people against the threat of the wicked. They know their path to be the righteous one. One to roam the land, hunting for all apparitions, and be scorned by man and beast alike. They know their path to be an arduous one. One to wander the realm in search of power, to protect themselves and what they believe in. They know their path to be the only one. Writers note: The first chapter will set the standard in terms of mood for the remainder of the story. It also comes to no surprise to me that half the people who read the first part stop reading any further. It has quite a bit of the good ‘ol ‘ultra-violence’ mixed with a great deal of realism. As much as I could fit into it from my own knowledge and experience in the elite forces. The first few chapters will be slow, after, but starting from ‘Restless Destroyer’ the remainder of the world will start to open up, and when we hit ‘Adronitis’ the prologue is largely finished. The novel is well thought out and filled with hidden lore, culture, history. So even if my word choice appears random – it’s not. There is a reason why these chapters take as long as they do. Vermodalen is fantasy adventure, with magic and heroics in an as realistic setting as I could fit. Things are rarely what they seem, and the ugly nature of people bleed through the letters at the turn of every page. I hope you can give this story a fair chance, even if it isn’t immediately to your taste. Lastly, english isn't my first language. It isn't my second one either. So, if you find errors in grammer and spelling, wordplay and sentance building, do let me know, and you will be rewarded by a surge of dopamine that will be released inside your brain for helping someone whom you haven't even seen or heard.
