Chapter 371: [ Intense battle against the Mummy Lord (4) ]
The Mummy Lord fall to the ground with a loud ‘thud’
However, after a few minutes, the sand crawled towards it and covered half of his body. And then after a few moments, new limbs grow out of the remaining half.
What ridiculous regeneration!
Just what kind of skill is that?
It should not be Body Creation since he had already robbed it of it. Well, judging from the process, it should be regeneration revolved around sand…
I want it –is what he wanted to say but, Allen had already possessed an ultimate regeneration skill; [ Flawless Restoration ] ability that transcends other self –healing type skills. It would just be useless for him.
Still, as expected of an Undead. The Mummy Lord didn’t even utter a groan.
Bzzt. Allen's figure flashed and he disappeared.
Obviously, as proper and honest as he was, Allen would never let his enemy fully recovered.
Whoosh.
Allen moved forward with a frontal assault. But, of course, the Mummy Lord wouldn’t take it without doing anything. With a wave of the crook, dozens of ghosts, evil spirits, phantom, and banshees came out from the Mummy Lord’s body and rushed towards Allen.
“[ 90,000,000 Volt Hino ]!!” Bluish-white sparks covered Allen’s body.
A giant hawk-shaped blast of lightning spread its wings and Cryaaaaahhhh!!! Flew towards the incoming evil spirits.
However, although the evil spirits were blocked but there were still two evil spirits that had managed to pass through the giant lightning bird and albeit already smoking and seems to be on the verge of disappearing. Even still, Allen can’t let something like that hit him.
Who knows what those spirits can do. Although he has curse resistance but relying on it just because he had it is nothing but stupidity.
What if it affects him in some weird way?
Allen’s figure was forcefully stopped and launched backward a few meters away as if he bounced off a wall.
While he was being launched backward, he flipped in the air, and kicked off the ground with his black boots, once again charging forward.
He wouldn’t stop or take a break for even a minute until he finished the fight!
Against his assault, the Mummy Lord didn’t take any action. It didn’t let out any evil spirits again but Allen had noticed that the Mummy Lord had almost completely recovered its limbs.
Not good!!
Allen noticed a flash on the Mummy Lord’s flail. What is it now? He saw some shadows appear under its feet, entangling him like vines.
Allen continued to run but saw that the vines of shadows were about to snap. He had a bad premonition and suddenly stopped. He transformed into lightning and disappeared.
But just after the moment he did, dozens of hands came out from the ground where he was at before. They were the hands of evil spirits and ghosts that would drag everything into hell.

Just looking at its Halloween –like effect, that kind of curse would certainly have a very headache inducing effect. Fortunately, he had made the call at the right moment!
The Mummy Lord roared. As if hearing the sound, a massive ball of darkness congealed above him and started sucking everything from the rubbles, sands, corpses, and other things in its surroundings.
He was really not giving Mother Nature a care...!!
Black hole!? Allen’s expression became serious and he faintly frowned.
However, it wasn’t.
The massive ball of darkness suddenly started wriggling and turned into a ten-meter tall shadow with a womanly silhouette.
Allen gasped in shocked! What the hell!!!? Another summon??
The shadowy figure moved her head and suddenly opened her mouth when she did so, Allen finally saw the dark silhouette’s real appearance.
-- A woman around mid 30’s to 40’s in age wearing a blurry black robe.
Cryaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! A piercing cry was released, startling Allen.
Bang!! Allen’s mind felt as if it was hit by a hammer and his consciousness started to become dizzy and blurry. In this desperate situation, Allen immediately bit his tongue, and piercing pain slightly woke his faint consciousness.
When it was slowly recovering, his vision was greeted by a massive dark fist. Damn it!! Gritting his teeth, he twisted his body and the massive fist brushed past him.
Boooom!!!
"Guha --!!?"
But the shockwave generated by the attack still sent him flying. Fortunately, he transformed into lightning at the right moment. Rubbles and rocks passed through his body as he rolled on the ground.
When he managed to stabilize his self, like a bolt of lightning, he bolted towards a broken pillar. Kicking off the boulder, he abruptly changed directions, avoiding the second fist.
Bang!!
Allen immediately made a distance.
A Banshee… or at least similar monster. But how is it possible for it to summon this kind of monsters; Sphinx, Giant Mummy, and Giant Banshee! Are there more…?
However, it shouldn’t be that easy.
Allen's eyes narrowed. He noticed the purple aura that was covering the Mummy Lord suddenly got dimmed by quite a few levels. It had also begun to thin down. The consumption must be pretty terrible~
As Allen was thinking, a boulder was hurling towards him. Due to him being the Angel of Death, he was mostly immune to undead curses and negative buffs but still… it’s not like he needed to care about the Banshee.
His real enemy was none other than, the Mummy Lord!
Allen’s gaze locked into the Mummy Lord from behind the Giant Banshee and his figure disappeared and suddenly appeared behind the monster.
As before, the Mummy Lord stood perfectly straight, with his left hand with the flail, and his right hand, the crook, it was muttering something Allen found incomprehensible.
Of course, his appearance had not gone unnoticed. As the moment he appeared, the Mummy Lord swung the crook to his direction. Allen, as the challenger, did not have the option of retreating nor do he has thoughts of doing such, and instead he met the incoming attack with Rebellion.

Upon seeing Allen's move, the Mummy Lord exploded with a roar, sending the flail forward.
Allen’s attack was actually a feint used to draw out the Mummy Lord’s attack. Twisting his body sideways, Allen prepared to unleash another strike with Rebellion.
Facing an opponent with a strong body and agility, one must not retreat even a single inch or waver even for a moment.
No matter how fast or agile the opponent was, an opportunity would present itself when the attack reached him. Countering before that would give the opponent a window to attack.
Thus, he slashed Rebellion.
However, it was easier said than done!
At this moment, Allen felt an impending danger.
Roar~ Bang!
A wild collision!
Whoosh.
From the Mummy Lord’s body, a massive dark fist passed through and went straight towards Allen. What!!?
BANG!!!
"Damn it!!" Allen flew back like a crushed ragdoll. But before he crashed on the ground, Allen extended his bloodied hand and clawed the ground before flipping into the air and stabilizing his body.
The giant Banshee was already standing behind the Mummy Lord.
This bastard!!
Allen made his stance and prepared his next action when, at this moment, ‘Master, can I have a minute?’ someone called him up via telepathy.
“Hm?” This voice… “Baishe?”
‘That’s right master’ Baishe’s cheerful voice answered.
“Something wrong… woah!” Allen canceled his counter–attacked as he listened to Baishe’s call.
He knows that Baishe wouldn’t call him in the middle of a battle if not for something important. Thus, he turned around and patiently evaded the two monsters’ pursuit by running around the devastated ruins.
‘I hope I’m not disturbing your fight, master but, I just want to ask for a help. You see, the monster we are fighting suddenly throw out a riddle and although I think we shouldn’t care about it and attack, Laura told us that we might be able to defeat this monster if we correctly answered these riddles. Miss Asmodeus also agreed with her so we are now currently in the middle of riddle answer portion~’
A riddle…? Well, I guess that was natural since the opponent was a Sphinx. “So? Did you call me to ask for an answer?” Allen smiled faintly.
‘That’s right… actually; Laura and Asmodeus had managed to answer the first and the second one. Now, it was already the third riddle but it was extremely hard... even for the others, so if I’m not disturbing you, can I ask for a bit of your intelligence master…?’
Allen smiled wryly, “Of course you can. Anytime, so what is the question?” Allen really loves Baishe’s character.
She was just so cute and reliable. The others might be worried they would disturb him or they wanted to answer it by themselves.
Thus, they didn’t ask him. Only Baishe did it… which really make him love Baishe even more. Being relied upon in times of trouble was sometimes better than being overly considerate, you know~
Unlike the others, whenever Baishe has a problem or trouble, if she deemed it impossible for her, she would certainly ask Allen for help.
Although this kind of attitude was so simple, in fact, it was actually very rare for someone to do it. People preferred to do it by themselves instead of asking for help –probably because they didn’t’ want to show any weakness or just embarrassed to do so…
However, was that really the right action...?
Consideration is sometimes not good. It might hurt someone unintentionally...
‘Thank you, Master~ The third riddle goes like this, Master ‘The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?’
Allen listened to the question with utmost attention. Hm? The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?
Wait, I think I have heard of that riddle before…
Allen’s eyes lit up. That’s right! I had heard of that riddle before…
“Footsteps… the answer to that riddle should be, footsteps!”
‘Footsteps?’
“That’s right, that should be the answer…” Allen smiled confidently. He had read that riddle back in the mortal world. It was actually quite a common riddle though~
‘Yes! Thank you, master, please take good care and I hope for your victory,' Baishe’s sweet voice rang out calming Allen’s mind.
"No problem~"
With that done, Allen’s attention returned towards his enemies. However, as he was replying to Baishe’s question, the two monsters; the Mummy Lord and the Giant Banshee has already caught up with him.
The Banshee’s shockwave attacks him from above.
However, just as he was hit by it, Allen’s eyes gleamed and a dull noise came from below his feet.
The ground below moved. This caused the Banshee to stumble down and its aim to be off with its head raised upward.
The sonic boom created by the monster’s scream shot the ceiling from up above causing the roof of the ruins to be blown away, revealing the beautiful blue sky.
And Allen did not stop there. He spread his arms wide and shouted, “Be swallowed up!!”
Sands rose up. But it wasn’t the normal sand as the sand that had moved wasn’t brown in color but metallic black color.
Iron sands!
