Chapter 372: [ Intense battle against the Mummy Lord (5) ]
The iron sand rose up in every direction.
“Ryuusa Bakuryuu!” It then all began vibrating at high speed to create a storm of killer needles and then shot towards the Giant Banshee and the Mummy Lord from all 360 degrees around them.
“Iron Funeral!!” Allen slams both hands down on the ground, creating powerful shock waves.
By doing so, the black sand that was covering the two monsters like a tidal wave compacted and in a few moments turned into a gigantic, pyramid-like form.
But this wasn’t the same as the original as the interior of the pyramid has hundreds and thousands of sharp spikes constantly stabbing those who were trapped within.
This was the bigger and stronger version of, ‘Iron Maiden’ –a combination of Sand Manipulation ability and Lightning ability.
Even if it was a Banshee, a ghost type monster -- with electricity and lightning forming like a cage, ghost type monsters would not be able to pass through it. Lightning had always possessed a great restriction effect on ghost type monsters.
However, even still, Allen found out that a massive strength was pushing his hands causing it to tremble violently.
It must be the Mummy Lord…
“Hmph!! How persistent…”
The giant sand pyramid shook as if a wild beast was trying to break free. Allen frowned.
“Thor’s Judgment!!” BOOOM!! A huge and powerful lightning bolt crashed down from the sky, just above the huge Pyramid.
Cryaaaaaahhhh!!! Allen heard a piercing cry from the inside. It must have been the Banshee being electrocuted.
Still, BAAAAMMMM!! The entire Pyramid exploded. It was not from the Thunderbolt but it should be the Mummy Lord’s doing.
When the dust and sand faded, the figure of the panting Banshee and the greatly injured Mummy Lord appeared. The Mummy Lord’s right and left hand were nowhere to be seen and even the Death Mask’s beard and a piece of it disintegrated into dust.
Did it explode himself to break free?
The Banshee angrily turned her head around but Allen’s figure had already disappeared.
In anger, the Banshee let out piercing one after another towards different directions as if trying to locate Allen, destroying the ruins even further.
As the Banshee busied herself and the Mummy Lord, at this moment, Allen struck!
Appearing just behind the Banshee, Allen’s hand had already pierced the head portion. !!?
But before she could react, Allen’s hands were suddenly covered by blue flames coated with sizzling lightning.
Gyaaaaahhhhh!!!! The Banshee let out a cry as Allen poured a significant amount of mana into the blue flames, propagating the flames into the Banshee’s body.
In an instant, as if covered by oil, the Banshee’s entire giant body was covered in blue flames, causing for the Banshee to shriek in pain and agony while rolling on the sandy ground as if trying to put out the fire.
Different from normal flames, Allen’s blue flames had a huge critical advantage towards undead and evil spirits such as the Banshee. Due to its purification ability from the Luan Eagle, it was has a huge deterrent force towards it.
Still, Allen knows that the Blue Flames was insufficient to completely kill the Banshee.
Woosh. A crook slashed on his body from behind but the crook only passed through without any troubles. Allen ignored the Mummy Lord’s sneak attack and spread his arms wide towards the air.
This was the best opportunity to eradicate the Banshee due to it being weakened by the Blue Flames.
“Max 200,000,000 Volt Thunder God!!!” BAMMMM!!! A huge and powerful lightning bolt crashed down at Allen’s body and Allen started glowing with a bluish light.

His body turning into plasma.
Allen’s figure expanded and grew over ten meters tall. A man in mid–twenties to thirties with a long flowing hair. His piercing hawk-like eyes radiated lightning and thunder and when opened his mouth, his voice rings like thunder claps.
Mustache and Beard appeared on his face, almost similar to the Avenger’s very own Thor version but a bit thin and light.
On his right was a huge hammer made out of lightning and his body wore a hooded coat similar to Allen’s [ Lightning Coat ] with an armor in the interior.
“El Thor!!!” Bam!! As if a huge BGM appeared on his back, Allen in Thor Form raised the hammer and Bang!!! “Thor’s Smash!!”
Smash the Wailing Banshee.
The Ruins instantly cave in and the Banshee was burrowed into the ground.
The spider web-like cracks spread throughout the sandy desert and even caused a fissure to appear. It had even reached the place where Asmodeus and the others were resting after defeating the Sphinx, greatly startling them.
Allen’s Thor form towered in the Desert, his massive figure was truly eye-catching.
A few miles away from the location of the battle:
“This is!?”
“What is the Norse God doing in this kind of place…!?”
“No way! The Norse Thunder God should have been dead but this is…!?”
“I had felt the Mummy Lord’s aura and hurried here but…? Did Thunder God Thor wake up the Mummy Lord?!”
Less than a dozen kilometers away from the location of the battle, four lights halted.
They were wearing robes with golden accessories and some even wearing peculiar Egyptian styled headdress and hats.
They all stared at the huge figure raising the hammer and smashing something. The power and lightning, along with its thunderous sound even reached this far.
They then looked at each other before rushing towards the location of the battle. Their speed doubled up.

After a few minutes of trashing, Allen looked down on the ground. The Banshee underneath him had already disappeared, instead, a small ball of seemingly compressed darkness was floating.
This ball of darkness came from the Banshee when it disappeared…
Thus, this must be the Banshee’s core. When it started flying away, Allen hastily grabbed the dark ball. Due to his current form, even the intangible dark ball was possible to grab. But where would he store it?
Allen was greatly interested in his dark ball because he might be able to summon that Banshee using this.
Allen tried the Grimoire but it would only pass through it.
Unfortunately, the Divine Grimoire didn’t classify it as a tameable monster or a thing that can be stored but only a wandering spirit, or soul –probably due to its lack of power that made it unable to materialize.
Allen frowned. The Dark ball on his hand was starting to become transparent. If this goes on, this would surely disappear….
What should I do?
Hm? Wait… Spirit…soul?
A light bulb appeared above Allen’s head. That’s right!! I have that!
[ Soul Orb – An Orb that can be used to trap and store at least 10 Souls/Ghosts to be used for other magic. ]
“This is it!!” Allen’s lips curled upward. In fact, he had already forgotten this thing due to his lack of interest on it but now… fortunately, he had stored it inside the Grimoire all this time.
Allen took the Soul Orb and the fading Dark Ball was instantly absorbed inside it.
*Ding!
[ You have successfully acquired Evil Banshee (Weakened) ]
“Success,”

Bang! As Allen was gloating with his success, the piled up rubbles not far away from him exploded. There, a haggard-looking Mummy Lord was standing unsteadily.
“Thunder… God? You’re… a Thunder God…?” The Mummy Lord said with his usual indifferent voice but anyone could notice the shock hidden within it.
That was how shocking it was when it find Allen was a Thunder God.
“Well, I can be a God of many aspects…” Allen answered with a mischievous tone.
He possesses various abilities, not just lightning and thunder –Though he was more of a Demon than a God.
Crackle! Crackle! Lightning sparks radiated from Allen, revolving around him like dancing snakes.
Allen in a Thor form raised his hammer again and a huge thunderbolt struck the hammer. BAM!! Allen smashed the hammer towards the Mummy Lord.
A cloud of dust shrouded the area where the Mummy Lord had been. A large part of the ground had been scooped out and thrown into the air, blocking all sight.
However, the wind slowly blew it away.
And once the cloud of dust had been blown away, Allen saw that there was nothing at the bottom of the hole that had been carved into the ground. It only meant one thing…
At that moment, dark shadow–like tentacles coiled around Allen’s right arms. Worst is, Allen felt something sucking his mana.
Not good!! Allen's back instantly shivered.
The Lightning on his body slightly dimmed down.
Then, scraping sounds echoed as jet black feelers that look like shadow whips arise from the shadow reflected on the ground below him at once.
They're not only appearing from below but also the surrounding shadow, wrapping his massive body.
This is bad…!! Allen’s body trembled as the sucking power increased.
He might have an enormous amount of mana compared to his level and his mana regeneration is on a different level but having his magic power sucked like this would surely make him dry in just a few minutes!!
Allen struggled and tried to pass through the shadow tentacles but for some reason, he couldn’t do it even after transforming into lightning.
Damn it! He got careless!!!
"Guha–!?" Allen suddenly felt something pierced through his chest.
What?!
Was his body actually pierced through?
One, two, three… six, six sharp tentacles pierced Allen’s Chest causing him to vomit out a mouthful of blood. He had really been careless!
For it to have this kind of move…!!
“Your life, your power, I will be taking some,” A voice rang out beside him.
The Mummy Lord appeared, floating just right next to Allen’s head. Its Death Mask had already lost its luster and cracks appeared on it. It already looked extremely old and ancient and Allen even felt as if with just one touch, the Death Mask would surely come off and break apart.
However, Allen gritted his teeth and turned his head. He noticed the Mummy Lord’s purple aura that originally already dimmed down to the point that it was non –existent had slowly been glowing brighter.
Its powers are coming back…!? Allen’s eyes widened in alarm.
Even the Death Mask was slowly regaining its luster and the cracks slowly disappeared.
Hm?! Allen’s eyes narrowed. Allen’s Thor form slowly reduced in size as the Lightning covering his body thinned down.
The over ten meters tall giant was now slowly becoming shorter and even the hammer on his hand had already disappeared.
“Mummy lord!!” As Allen continued to struggle, at this moment a voice rang out, catching Allen and the Mummy Lord’s attention.
“As well as you, Norse God!”
Within the dark blue sky, several figures were streaking through, like the shooting stars. Sky-piercing voices could be heard without end.
Among these figures, there were some who were floating in the sky without wings.
There were also some who were spreading their wings and soaring through --though the wings seemed like metallic for some reason, unlike the usual feathery thingy~
Their bodies covered with gold amulets and accessories. Some even wore different colored headdresses while others were holding swords and huge scimitars.
Allen and the Mummy Lord simultaneously turned towards the new intruders and saw seven people.
Three were wearing headdresses and hats while four were not.
Depending on their appearances, three were Egyptians while the other four should be from the Persian Clan.
The famous Kemet and the Aryan Clan of the Celestial Realm…
Although came from two different clans, one thing in common among them, was their large and violent imposing manner. Their imposing manner, by itself, was sufficient to scare away ghosts and demons.
These two clans, although from the records of the past, were always in an opposing end. However, if someone or an enemy disturbed the Desert or intrude it, both Clans will immediately hold arms to expel any invaders together.
Their territories are extremely close and can even be said to be neighbors with Aryan in the front while Kemet at the back.
“God Thor, this is not the North, what do we owe this honor for your visit…?” A man with a black hair and piercing eagle-like eyes stepped forward.
At this moment, Allen felt annoyed for their appearance. Couldn’t they just help him first before asking?
Don't you see I'm in a very dangerous situation, pal?
Help before asking, will you...!!
Annoyed, Allen spoke in a cold and irritated manner. “I am not Thor, nor am I from the Norse Clan,”
!!!?
"What...?"
“...Before that, care to give me a hand first?”
“Another intruder?” The Mummy Lord turned around. It glared towards the newly arrived Gods. “Leave this place… or be punished… by the desert!” It roared in anger.
The Gods frowned at the Mummy Lord’s attitude.
“Monster, it seems like you still haven’t change. How long has it been? A hundred years? A thousand years? I have already forgotten and yet you are still here, prattling like someone almighty,” A man sneered in contempt.
“Wanting to kill us? Hahaha…..”
“Who was the one who had buried in the sand in our last battle?”
“Haha…….”
The Gods on the scene, none of them thought highly of the Mummy Lord, they were all laughing without restraint. This was the second time they had met the Mummy Lord and with their current number, no one thought of being defeated by it.
“Hmph, you just defeated me because of your numbers and yet all of you spoke as if you are above me? Why don’t you fight me one on one?” The Mummy Lord stepped forward.
Hearing those words, the faces of the Gods instantly distorted. Their faces turned funny and some even appeared extremely angry for being humiliated.
“Don’t talk as if you are superior you monster! We won’t fall into your trap!”
“Trap? Hahahaha, that is why all of you are not qualified. I liked this youth better than all of you,” The Mummy Lord turned around and stood beside the now human-sized Allen. The Thor form was forcefully deactivated due to the Mummy Lord’s power.
“Oh please, although I am not fond of men but if you like me then let go of me. If I’m normal, I would have been long dead due to these wounds!” Allen gritted his teeth as blood streak at the corner of his lips.
If he can see his HP gauge right now, Allen was certain that it had already fallen 20–10% HP.
He was only able to hold on his dear life because of his Lightning Body and [ Flawless Restoration ]

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
