Chapter 418: [ I’m sorry ]

“She was really troublesome, you know. If I didn’t absorb most of the magic power she had accumulated, she would have been a goner right now. Well, due to the remaining power, the explosion still hurt her seriously~” Allen had an amiable smile on his face with his slightly rosy cheeks and suave appearance. He looked completely harmless with a harmonious smile in his eyes.

However, only an idiot would think that he was harmless.

“You, you damn monster!!”

“Now, now, stop calling me a monster. That pretty hurts, you know.” Allen nods his head slightly, looks at Bleeze without even blinking his eyes and uses a very formal tone to say: “Even though we don’t have any blood ties but, your father Beelzebub can still be said to be some sort of family to me, so you are still my nephew~”

Allen showed a warm look on his expression. Well, indeed, although he hadn’t met the other Demon Prince yet but, since all the Demon princes of Hell were like brothers of one big family knows as Demons, it can be said that they were indeed one hell of a family.

And Bleeze in front of him can also be referred to as his none other than nephew~

He should call me uncle or big brother~

However, unexpectedly, after Bleeze listened to Allen’s comforting words(?), his facial expression not only is not calmer, instead is more resentful in glaring at him. “Like hell it is! I don’t have a relative who is a traitor!! You –”

I will then say, ‘You can go, I can’t afford to kill a woman’ and then she certainly will be moved to tears by my kindness on the level of Buddha. She’ll feel guilty. With a change of heart, it’ll be a melty love.” Allen laughed as if he was enjoying every moment.

“Th- There’s no way she would fall for you!!”

Allen completely ignored Bleeze and continued walking towards him. His steps unhurried.

Bleeze tried to get up but before he could, the sand beneath him wriggled like a living thing and before he noticed it, he was already bounded by it. He was about to use his ability to get out when Allen flashed and appeared behind him, putting his hands on his head, “Max 200 Million Volt Shocker Shock!!”

Bzzzzt!!

“Gyaaaaahhhh!!!” A massive electric shock passed through Bleeze’s body causing him to shriek in pain and agony.

It went in for a few minutes. If it was a normal human, they would have been long dead already. But as expected of a high-level Demon, Bleeze’s endurance and toughness was completely another level. He was still breathing…

*Ding!*

[ Congratulations! You have successfully robbed [ Psychokinesis ] ]

“You…” Bleeze fell down the ground, exhausted. His vision already blurred. Allen narrowed his eyes and grabbed Bleeze’s hair.

“You, you traitorous… bastard! Why, why are you doing this? we are ought to rule the world, and you… why are you trying to interfere with our goals…?” Bleeze gritted his teeth in rage. “The Demons can now… *cough blood*... the demons can now rule everything… us demons, including you, we can have everything… why are you trying to stop us…?!!”

“Is this what your father, Beelzebub feeds you?” Allen frowned.

“… …”

“Power? Rule? I’m not interested in any of that…” Allen said softly. “All I wanted was to live peacefully… away from any kind of battles and bloodshed…”

Thud! At this moment, while Allen was speaking, several figures softly descended. They were Eerika, Lord Rajmund, and the Clan Elders. After seeing that the battle had almost come to an end, they hurriedly came over just to hear Allen’s voice.

Allen ignored them and focuses all his attention towards Bleeze. “But do you know what the ‘war for your prominence and self-egos’ did to me…?”

“… …?!”

“They took everything away from me! Because of all of your ambitious goals, you took everything important from me! Then, even now--do you still think that I will just let all of you do what you wanted as I watched everything unfolded in front of me…? Is that it?”

“Have you experience seeing your close friends die to protect you? Die to let you escape…?”

During that brief period, Allen recalled some irrelevant matters.

Even within that time frame, Allen’s body unwittingly began to move.

“Wake up, you stupid demon! No matter what you do, everything will come to an end! Our Lord, Lucifer will wake up and all of you will be doomed for eternity! All of you humans, God clans! All of you will die in the end!!” Bleeze laughed happily as he stared at Allen mockingly.

However, contrary to Bleeze’s expectations, Allen didn’t become angry.

His lips still formed into that of his usual smile.

“Relax, if you wanna end the world that badly, then I’ll go ahead and let you.”

“… …!!?”

“I never cared about the world or any world…” Allen stepped into the air and slashed Rebellion to the side. It was just a tiny move, yet he showed an astonishing vigor. He just slightly moved his feet. With his fluttering clothes, he had stepped ahead confidently.

It was something hard to describe yet at this very moment, it’s as if he possesses a heroic bearing that could make him so eye-catching even inside a crowd of millions of people.

“… All I wanted to do was to let those I cherished live a happy and comfortable life.” While saying so, in Allen’s eyes, there was no hatred or anger but only the deepest affection.

He swayed the sword and spoke in a soft voice, “Demons are indeed Demons when they do vile and wicked things. But, can a Demon not possess a heart to love and care for someone…?”

“Demons don’t have the heart to love and so they don’t cry. They don’t shed tears…” When he muttered this, it reminded him of something he had always wanting to forget.

In his mind, the events that had happened in the previous timeline resurfaced like the water flowing from a burst dam. The excruciating pain when he had lost each of his so-called family, friends and loved ones.

“Then, what is this sadness and pain when my family and loved ones died in front of me…?” A bitter smile could be seen on Allen’s face as the thoughts seemed so distant to him.

"Aren't I also a demon...? I shouldn't felt anything like that! Because I'm a Demon...But why then...?"

"Why then I feel something-something like this? Something humane...?" Allen stared at Bleeze whose eyes widened in shock as he stared at Allen.

"Tell me then, Bleeze...Why do I feel hurt, why do my tears fall when all of them was stolen from me...?"Allen's voice wasn't the least bit loud, but for some reason, it immediately spread through the air, as if the wind, carried his voice, striking Lord Rajmund, Eerika, and the others hearts.

It was as though the words came from the heavens, with the heavens drifting and clouds floating with the voice. However, the voice seemed to carry with it an eternal pain, lingering through eternity.

Behind Allen, Eerika was dressed in white as she experienced the desolate emotions coming from Allen. Her whole heart was immersed in his words, as her eyes were filled with tears.

Just how many people in this world would understand the desolation in his heart? Eerika could not help but feel her heartache, but she did not know how to comfort Allen. Within her mind, all she could think of was to dive into his embrace to melt his frozen heart with her warmth and gentleness.

Even if there isn’t anyone in the world to understand him, he would have the company of his loved ones at the very least…

But sadly, the current situation forbids her from doing such thing and thus, she could only listen and watch Allen shed tears in front of her.

"What are you...?!"

"Nah, Bleeze, if not because of this, I might be like you right now, going on about wanting to be on top--wanting to sit on the summit..." Allen felt as though he had woken up from a dream. Only then did he realize that his face as already completely wet.

"...But I can't... because of this humane feeling you say coming from the weak. You said demons don't have heart, you thought demons don't shed tears--then what am I, Bleeze? Aren't I also a Demon?"

"... ..." Bleeze frowned as he stared at Allen, his eyes complicated and full feelings.

However, even so, Allen could only hide his real feelings. Bleeze might die... that's what he had already decided. He doesn’t want something similar to his previous life to happen again and so, he desires to end this war!

– This war that was possessed by a ghost that has been haunting him from his past…!

“I won’t let that happen again… so I need to kill you, nephew Bleeze… I’m sorry,” Raising the sword, tears started flowing from Allen’s red blood eyes. His expression started with intense sadness and helplessness.

The sword in his hand became colder, turning dark crimson. As if the emotions Allen was feeling at this very moment was transmitted into the blade, rushed out, carrying endless solemnness, sadness and longing causing the blade to become even sharper and cold.

“Roar, roar, roar!” When the last of the monsters finally fell, the human crowd standing at the top of the city wall which had waited for a long time immediately let out an excited and unified loud roar. The deafening roar shot directly past the crowd.

A countless number of people, who had originally thought that their city and home would be destroyed today, could not control the excitement in their hearts. A cheer from having survived charged to the clouds.

At this moment, most of the people on the City wall turned towards the sky. To be precise, they were staring at the boy who was floating in the air.

The boy’s handsome face was slightly pale, and the magic power fluctuations emitting from his body had weakened significantly. It seemed that he was slightly tired.

However, nobody laughed at his weakened and tired state. Even the Elders and those powerful warriors had serious expressions as they stared at him. It was evident that the earlier battle had shocked them as well.

In front of them, the youth known as Allen had earned everybody’s respect and attention with his strength.

On the other hand, Allen rubbed his ears, which were shocked by the roar until they became numb. He turned his head around and eyed Erika, who was a short distance away, looking at him. The corner of the latter’s mouth contained a beautiful warm smile. In a soft voice, she muttered, “You did well, you work hard.”

However, due to the excited ear-piercing howls that covered the city wall, it couldn’t be heard clearly. Still, Allen can hear it just fine. He smiled back.

At the top of the walls, the voices and excitement still haven’t subsided.

Countless people were so excited that their faces turned red as they waved the things in their hands. In an instant, the entire City wall had descended into a noisy and excited ocean.

Seeing this sea of excited people, Allen finally turned around and disappeared.

Eerika was talking with her clan members when she noticed Allen disappeared. She hurriedly turned around and chased after him.
