Chapter 652: [Simin]
At the front of the Aryan City, the Princess of the Aryan Clan was standing vigilant on the top of the City Wall, staring at the endless desert. Her eyes were full of sorrow. The sky was overcast, and the breeze caused the young woman’s silky hair to dance in the air. It seemed as if it could rain at any given moment.
For the past three months, Princess Anahita had been in a miserable mood. The war is still going on for almost four months already, and even the other neighboring Cities couldn’t endure it anymore and succumb to the pressure, moving into the main Aryan City. Even the Neighboring Clans had already gathered here such as the Kemet Clan—thinking that a single City is much easier to defend than be scattered around, helpless. Most of all, they can gather more strong and powerful defenders for a single city.
The Kemet Clan commonly lived in Pyramids but that wouldn’t be easy to defend so they migrated here for the last stand of this war. However, the demons still haven’t slowed down in attacking. Wave after wave comes after fortnight or weeks as if they are trying to wear them down. Even Anahita’s confidence to win this war began to waver with the passage of time.
How long will they last…?
Anahita doesn’t know… therefore, they could only struggle…
“…what are you thinking about?”
A gentle but slightly childish voice asked from behind Anahita. He was an extremely handsome child, around nine to ten years old, with characteristics of a lizard, no, probably a Dragon. A long silver scaled briskly tail was swaying behind him as the handsome boy sat at the top of a watchtower, with a casual position. His face is full of indifference and boredom.
He has beautiful silver hair, piercing, and slightly cold crimson draconic eyes. His face was free from any dirt or freckles. Though what he is, what is beautiful about him, comes from the gaze of his eyes.
People often speak of the color of eyes, as if that were of importance, yet his would be beautiful in any shade. From them comes an intensity, an honesty, a gentleness that one cannot help but adore and love. Perhaps this is what is meant by a gentleman, not one of weakness or trite politeness, but one of Great Spirit and noble ways.
Despite his youthful and childish appearance, his face was strong and defined. He had beautiful snow-white eyebrows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression. His usually playful smile had drawn into a hard line across his face.
Looking at the owner of the voice, Anahita’s solemn mood somewhat brightened. However, she felt somewhat strange. After all, the original person Anahita remembers likes to wear dark colors, such as black and ebony, appearing gloomy and mysterious.
But the child before her was dressed the opposite--completely in white. The wide robe is held by a belt with green jade. On the hem and cuff are violets embroidered with the finest silver threads. The long silver hair swaying in the wind is held by one single silver rose-shaped hairpin. Unlike the original’s mysterious and manly ambiance, he was inclined in the more beautiful feminine side.
Though, just as she remembers, despite being a bit younger and childish, that face still seems a little too devilish. His complexion is white like jade, almost transparent like he is sick. Because of the sun, it made him have a layer of gold, making the cold emitting from his body fade a bit. Looking at those eyes one can’t help have a preconception that they are as deep as a cold pool of water of a thousand years. And every feature and angle of his face, seemed like carved from a knife by a grandmaster sculpture.

Those eyes are crystal clear but were obscured by the sparkling on the surface, making people unable to guess his inner thoughts. It also made people unable to dare come forward to explore him some more. They were concerned that if they’re just a moment careless, they’d get sucked into those eyes and all their thoughts deep inside their hearts would be seen by the owner, and be absorbed into a never-ending vortex.
He is obviously a man so beautiful like a devil, but his whole body is dressed in white. It just happens that this body in white actually expresses his appearance of a human and a demon. It’s as if he was born for this white color.
Although the original person was quite friendly and at least knows how to socialize even the least bit but this ‘Simin’ she named him this, was cold as his appearance. Apart from Anahita, he didn’t like associating himself with others nor would he liked interactions with other people. Just like what he says, he’s only here to protect Anahita, as a repayment of a debt.
Anahita was somewhat disappointed by the reason but at the very least, she was also moved and touched by the fact that Allen had placed her safety in mind.
In this war, just like one had expected, Allen’s clone had played a very major role—his power and strength, even though he was just a clone was still above that of average warriors and was still comparable to those great elites. And with his various abilities, he was able to adapt in any kind of change in the situation and he also possesses more ways of fighting compared to other people....not to speak about the equipment and items he was giving, such as swords, guns, cannons, bombs, and still many extremely useful war weapons, giving them an edge in this war...! Thus, he became a valuable force.
“Have you contacted the Young Lord already? What is he doing right now?” Anahita asked softly.
These days, as she stood there waiting, fighting—she couldn’t help but remember when she had been at the underground ruins of the Scorpion King, and her experiences there with Allen. It had been over almost a year ago. Yet, she could clearly recall it like it had been yesterday.
She hadn’t expected that events would turn out like this, all in an instant. Yesterday seemed to be just as peaceful as before—but now, in just blink of an eye, all things have completely turned chaotic and terrible. It was as if she was living in a dream…in a nightmare…
Simin didn’t bother turning his head. His eyes fixed on the horizon, “Not yet…” he answered. “However, I don’t think it’s necessary. The original should know about the situation already, there’s no need to inform him… he should be doing something meaningful somewhere right now.”
“I see…what do you think about this war? Do you think we have the chance?” Anahita asked with a wry smile.
Simin turned his head at her and his lips curling upwards, “Do you want to hear the truth…or the lie…?”
“… the truth…”
“…it would take a miracle for us to win. In fact, even I don’t know how long we would be able to defend this place. We are only able to hold on because, for some unknown reason, the Legion is taking the manga way of attacking, wave by wave as if he was just playing around…as if waiting for someone…”
“Waiting for someone…?”
“I don’t know…” Simin shook his head. “It’s not like anyone could understand what is going on inside that lunatic Mammon’s head. He always does things that are completely hard to understand by people—when you think he was being foolish, you will pay a very gruesome price.”

“Have you seen him or even met him before…?” Anahita asked curiously.
Someone like Mammon is a legend for her, a myth. They are people beyond her reach…
“… …” Simin paused. Then, he slowly stood up, “…’I’ did… and on that very first time in my life, I had disliked someone on just first impression…” he muttered with a smirk.
“… …”
“Time to work…”
As Anahita was thinking about Simin's words, suddenly Simin muttered with an indifferent voice. Anahita snapped out in a daze. She immediately turned around and just as expected, countless black dots appeared on the horizon. “Seriously… they really don’t want us to take the slightest rest…”
“If they are that polite… then the world would be much less interesting than this…” Simin grinned.
A long sword appeared in his hand.
“… …” Anahita smiled bitterly after hearing his words.
“…let’s make some sweat~”
A loud ringing noise sounded out and a countless group of warriors immediately went out from their respective houses.

Asgard...
The front of the Asgard City was the location of the final remnants of the legions’ last wave army. The warriors responsible for holding them back were currently resting at every part of the City wall, trying to regain their strength and energy as much as possible.
The Norse Clan maintained a superior position. But as for how long would this last, no one knows. There were originally over 30,000 Norse Clan Warriors, but now there was little more than half of that. The demon legion and ferocious monsters fought back fiercely, and their enraged battle cries filled the area.
Eerika was in the middle of it all, along with the other young elites of the Norse Clan. The battlefield was filled with the glow of magical techniques and the power of divine abilities. Eerika decided to conserve her magical power, and she fought with a sword or a spear. Though, mostly the latter.
She truly looked like a war goddess, fighting as she did with shocking, killing blows.
“Attack… show no mercy!”
All the warriors were almost exhausted, but all of them still maintained a cool expression as they watched the countless monsters on the battlefield. They wanted to rest for a while due to mental fatigue, but they had no choice but to fight. After all, only they had the power to protect Asgard City from the monsters, which were like tigers and wolves against the flock of sheep. If they did not harden their will and spirit, Asgard City would definitely be destroyed.
They can go, escape and run--but for how long...?
When Asgard falls... it would just be a matter of time...!
The densely-packed arrows fell like rain towards the monsters at the front. Against beings of about the same grade and level, the arrows were not incredibly powerful. However, their range, speed, accuracy, and precision greatly surpassed those of any other beings due to having the blood of the Gods and the arrows made by the infamous dwarves. 100 meters away, the thousand Arrows all found their targets. Not a single arrow missed its mark, causing more than a hundred monsters to crash down, instantly causing mass-chaos.
A second and third wave of arrows then descended…
However, although the Arrows were powerful, there were only a thousand or two archers at most – it was simply impossible for them to stop a hundred thousand monsters. If they split up their attacks, they would not be able to affect the horde at all, and if they condensed their attacks, they would only be able to put pressure on a small portion of the army of monsters.
The over 100,000 monsters and demonic creatures braved the rain of arrows, roaring as they quickly came closer. Soon, they were only 50 meters away from the city, and they swept toward the city gates with great momentum.
“…accursed monsters, all of you shall be doom for eternity!!”
A cold voice rang out. He floated down from the walls and landed in front of the city gate, coldly looking at the large army of monsters in front of him. The green light that had been gathered in his hands for a long time was sent shooting down towards the ground.
In an instant, the ground trembled as the over five hundred meters in front of him erupted with countless green vines. They wrapped themselves around the legs of the monsters, causing the monsters to scream as they fell while also squeezing them tightly as if strangling them.
The vines continued to grow madly, wrapping around monsters and demons alike, binding them to the ground. Within those five hundred meters, thousands of monsters fell down on the ground, and no matter how they struggled, all they could do was be killed by the Archer’s arrows and warriors that immediately finished them off.
“As expected from the Freyr Clan’s patriarch!” Alva muttered in praise as she flipped and sent a slash out, cutting an Ant-like monster’s head. She snapped her finger and flames appeared above her head, shooting towards the struggling monsters caught by the vines.
“However, we can’t do this forever…!” she sighs as she immediately retreated a few distances back after realizing she had gone deeper to the frontline. If she gets careless, she might be surrounded with nowhere to run, and be drowned by the horde.
Although most were nothing to her, the sheer number is enough for her to get killed.
Being careless and complacent in this war...is enough for even a tall mountain to crumble...!
Once the Freyr Clan Patriarch attacked, the momentum that the legion had gathered was completely stopped. Adding on the merciless rain of arrows and absolute territory-like defense of the warriors under the City Wall, the army of monsters once again suffered more and more casualties.
At that moment, a black figure suddenly flew out from within the horde of monster, rushing towards the Patriarch of the Freyr Clan. The latter, whose entire body was covered with a green light, suddenly felt an incredibly sharp aura and a terrifying feeling from above him. He frowned as the green light around him became white, turning into hundreds of thick arrows of light that shot up towards the black figure that had suddenly appeared in the air.
When facing the Freyr Clan’s patriarch’s attack, the black figure did not panic at all. He didn’t seem to move, but a pitch-black shadow appeared in front of his body, drawing a gigantic arc. All of the Arrows that touched the shadow were immediately absorbed, like a black hole that sucks everything. The black figure rushed through the Freyr Clan’s attack without taking any damage at all, shooting towards the latter like an arrow as a cold blade stabbed towards the man’s chest.
Cha!! The ear-piercing sound of glass shattering sounded out as the ground split.
The Freyr Clan Patriarch hurriedly retreated, crashing into the city wall behind him. He then straightened his body, coldly looking at the black figure... he was only wearing very simple black clothes, and he had a face that could only be described as ‘ordinary’. However, the aura he gave off caused the direct descendant of a Major God, like the Freyr Clan’s Patriarch to feel a massive amount of danger, and the words ‘’72 Pillars’ flashed in his mind.
