Chapter 658: [A different kind of Demon]
Compared to Eerika’s condition expression, Crocell was still able to immediately stabilize herself from the impact. However, her right arm was already dyed with blood and she had a somewhat ashen face. Her eyes remained fixed at Eerika. It was apparent that she did not understand how her opponent was able to fight against her like this by relying on the strength of a Lesser Deity.
Although she indeed had somewhat held back a while ago and didn’t use all her strength to counter because she was underestimating them yet, she was still a Duke Class Demon. This strength surpassed a Lesser Deity Godclan who knows how many times. But even with that, she was still not able to stop that attack just now.
How could she accept this?
This is a humiliation…!
“Was your prediction regarding me off? You originally thought that I am someone that you can just step on, but now it seems that it’s different than what you expected.” Eerika grinned. Although her expression was pale, seemingly devoid of blood and her breath ragged, she still displayed a victorious expression. “You might be strong but you will still be defeated! Evil will never be victorious against the Good!”
She stared at Crocell’s ashen expression and said with a smile.
The veins on Crocell’s forehead twitched. She immediately sucked in a deep breath and suppressed the rage within her heart. Her eyes gradually turned abnormally dark and an icy chill was felt deep within her voice: “Thou had really surpassed this one’s expectations indeed, and this one is truly faulted for such this pathetic display, but…do thou think that thee have the right to act arrogant because of this?!”
When the final words filled with chill exited Crocell’s mouth, the chilling snow white aura surged out again from within her body. Her eyes were filled with a rich murderous intent. The ice sword in her hand was bared as her body moved. She appeared beside Eerika with lightning-like speed. The sharp sword struck at different angles and covered all the fatal spots on Eerika’s body like a storm. Without any warning, Crocell took the initiative this time and began her attack...!
"Guh?!"
Eerika gritted her teeth as she twirled the azure spear on her hand, blocking and repelling Crocell’s assault.
The azure spear danced like a windmill and blocked the sharp sword attacks--though not all, cuts and wounds appeared on every part of her body, even her face. Crocell’s eyes flashed with a glint of light. The ice sword in her hand shot out just like a deadly snake! Cha cha cha!
Chilling snow white sword shadows covered the sky!
Even with Eerika’s excellent eyesight, she could not clearly see Crocell’s sword point! She could only use her godly perception to catch up to Crocell’s movements. With each stab of Crocell’s sword, the sword point almost stabbed her every vital part, her dress and skin were now littered with cuts and blood but she grits her teeth as she tried avoiding a fatal wound. Despite this, Eerika was grateful that she had worn the dress that Allen had given her--a dress that was far better than any armor she had seen in the world...!
“Eerika!!” Troy and Alveda hurriedly rushed towards the sea of Ice Demons, demolishing everything on their path and attack Crocell.
“Demon…change…!” The calm voice slowly sounded in Crocell’s heart. At this very moment, she didn’t dare take these Godkins lightly. When the last word sounded, the aura over her body was abruptly withdrawn. An instant later, the aura appeared to be like a volcano, which had broken through the restraint of the land as it erupted forth in all directions!

BooooOOm!!
The chilling cold energy hurriedly swarmed out from Crocell’s body. It immediately swept horizontally through the air. The cold air caused the temperature on the open ground to swiftly plummet. The air seemed to have frozen as grains of ice crystals appeared from around her. A film of ice covered the faces of some of the people in the vicinity, like scales and those whose strengths were weaker started shivering in the extreme cold. Even some part of their hair had been frozen over in an instant.
A pointed spiraling horn akin to that of a Unicorn appeared on Crocell’s forehead and on her back, a pair of black colored feathery wings sprouted like a blossoming butterfly. And her blue crystal female armor was suddenly transformed into a black gothic dress with crimson lining on the sides. A red-colored number ‘49’ engraved on her left chest and back.
At this moment, Crocell’s magical energy and aura had already far surpassed the Lesser Deity Realm. If one were to vaguely measure it, it was at least something that could stand shoulder to shoulder with Allen’s normal Clone, or probably, even slightly stronger than it!
Mair, Eerika and other people in the vicinity were shocked and dull as they stared at Crocell, who was wrapped by a chilling cold snow-wind. They sensed the change in force, which had suddenly soared explosively.
“Demonic….transformation…?!”
All this time, she was not serious?! Eerika’s expression could not help but change a little as her gaze stared intently at Crocell.
Seriousness had similarly surfaced on Troy and the other’s faces by his side. She had already been too strong for them when she was not in her Demon Change, but now...!
Boom!! Eerika’s voice had just left her mouth when the sound of an energy explosion abruptly rang out from within the swirling snow-wind. A vague, black-colored figure let out a ‘chi’ sound and tore through the hindrance of the air. The ten plus meters between the figure and Eerika was shuttled past in less than a second. This terrifying speed caused the eyes of Eerika and the other people to be dazzled. A black-clothed, cold figure that was around three meters tall brought a low temperature below freezing point as it appeared in front of them.
A chilling sword abruptly shot out from within the swirling wind that seemed as if it contained the might of a terrifying blizzard. It turned into four afterimages. Each of them carried a force and pressure of a snowy mountain and violently smashed at the chest of the four attackers; Eerika, Troy, Alva, and Asger before they could react. Eerika, whose strength is currently the strongest among them, was able to react in time. She managed to parry the sword lunging at her, however, the strength difference was just too big and she was sent flying away, like a kite with a broken string--eventually crashing to a boulder of ice behind her, burrowing her down.
But unlike Eerika, Troy, Alva, and Asger were much in a worse condition. If not for the armor, as well as the magic aura they are wearing, they would have received even more grievous wounds, or worse, they would be cut into two or frozen solid in ice, either option was horrifying, to say the least. However, even with the barrier, Alva and Asger still suffer a long cut wound on their chest to their abdomens. Alva, especially…
“Alva!!” Troy held his broken arm and immediately rushed towards his sister. However, before he could reach her, someone got there first.
…it was Crocell!

Crocell’s lips curled into a cold smile. Her speed after she had activated her Demon Form had already risen to such a degree that even a Mid God of ordinary strength would be unable to match her. Therefore, Eerika, Troy and the others would never be able to contend against her anymore. If a while she was just playing, and they still were not able to gain an equal footing, now that she was serious, there’s nothing they could do anymore!
This is the power of those known as…Guardians of Hell—a Duke Class Demon!
...even before the battle started, they have never had the chance to..win...!
... ...
BaaaaAAng!!!
A sharp wind slammed into the madly rushing Troy’s chest with lightning-like speed. The powerful force caused Troy to spit out a mouthful of blood as his body flew backward.
"STOPPPP!!!!"
Troy’s eyes turned blood-red when he saw that Crocell was intending to finish off Alva with her sword after having launched an attack on him. Alva was his sister and although they are often in argument but both of them treasured each other.
But now…Alva was going to get killed... and most of all, in front of him! Troy’s mind blanked out and every second felt a year watching Crocell getting closer to Alva with her sword. The sword slashing motion can be seen as if it was being played in a slow-motion on Troy’s eyes.
A tear drops on the ground—
... its sound was like a gong that had echoed within the area, and all the people seemed to have heard of it.
“Big Sisteeeeeeeer!!!!” Tory’s mournful cry echoed in the area.
As for Alva, her body was already disoriented and wrecked that she couldn’t muster any strength anymore. She looks at her brother and her lips turned into a faint gentle smile…I’m sorry…good bye… her moist eyes, slowly closed. She saw Eerika, Mair and the others madly rushing towards her direction as well, their expression frantic and panic, some were even crying, and wailing like little children, and she felt moved. Although each of them is always at edge from each other, competing in strength and status, but moments like this really displayed how much they think on one another—
Thus, she closed her eyes…
She didn’t want to see their sorrowful expression before she dies. It’s kinda heart-breaking…
The moment felt like long…
Crocell smiled coldly as she swung down her long ice sword at Alva in front of many frantic and sorrowful eyes. She stared at Alva with a ferocious face, but just as she swung down her arm, a chill suddenly appeared deep within her heart. It had just materialized when a hand suddenly appeared around her target’s waist and an icy hand reached out towards her sword’s direction without any forewarning. After which, it ruthlessly clamped down like metal pliers. The sound of sword breaking could be heard as the ice sword on her hand was broken into countless pieces, appearing like beautiful glass shards in front of Crocell's widening eyes.
"You are--?!!"
... ...
Under Crocell’s eyes, the hand was covered by beautiful azure-colored scales, looking like a draconic claw and it exudes a cold chilling aura much similar, no-- probably stronger than hers!
How could this be…?!
BOOooooOOOOM!!!
The moment the draconic hand and the ice sword collided, the energies contained with them were at first silent for a moment before an earth-shaking explosion suddenly appeared!
Quickly following this, dense dust and misty fog rose and spread throughout the area.
This occurred only a moment when it takes to blink an eye. It all happened so fast that Eerika, Troy and the others couldn’t see what had happened. They only saw a black shadow flashed and an explosion occurred, wrapping the area in cold fog and dust!
What had just happened…?
No one knows as they watched the scene in front of them with confused and shock gazes. No one dared to breathe. Even the Ice Demons, Monsters or the Demons halted their attack and stood there, confused. Wanting to know the outcome...
While they watched the area where Alva and Crocell was, which had basically turned into ruins veiled in white fog and chilling mist, the people within the vicinity descended into a death-like silence!
Woooosh.
Suddenly, a figure shot out from the thick dust and fog.
“Demon Duchess!!”
Several people exclaimed as they saw Crocell rushed out to the air. They are even confused and shock when they noticed the latter’s serious and solemn expression that shouldn’t have appeared after seeing her near victorious feat. Then, they saw the ice sword on her hand, which was broken and only less than half of its original size has remained.
What had happened…?!
The peripheral vision of Crocell glanced over just before her sword broke and the explosion occurred was an unfamiliar yet also strangely familiar black-clothed boy with an indifferent expression staring at her. She couldn’t manage to see it clearly because she felt danger coming from it so she immediately jumped away.
Her heart beats so fast….so familiar…don’t tell me… Crocell bit her lips and shock and anxiety flashed on her eyes. If what she was thinking really happened, if it was who she think ‘he’ was, then… it’s really bad for her. It’s the very last thing she had wanted before, now, and after…but now, Crocell bit her lips in frustration.
That last horrifying thing had finally occurred...!!
... ...
Bang!!
All of a sudden, a piece of huge rock suddenly blasted apart.
The movement attracted all the gazes present, including that of Eerika and the others who were panting with their mouths wide open. Faint dust permeated over from where the large rock burst apart.
Tap! Tap! Tap! Under the focus of a countless number of nearly dull gazes, the dust that permeated throughout the area slowly dispersed. The complete mess and rock fragments that appeared in their sights caused the spectator to emit waves of sounds created by the sudden inhalation of cold air. Then, suddenly there was the soft sound of feet stepping on some rock fragments being emitted from the dust, then gentle steps rang out like a musical note in the silent-turned battlefield, like a piece of violin playing.
After hearing the sound of footsteps, whether it was the Demon Duchess; Crocell, Eerika, Mair who had seen through the thick heavy dust and fog and was stunned and also excited, Troy who was worrying about her sister and all the people’s expressions could not help but change.
The sound of footsteps came nearer and nearer. Eerika’s eyes did not blink as she stared at the dust. A while later, her eyes suddenly shrunk. A black-robed boy, whose clothes were as clean as they were the last time she saw him, slowly walked out from the dust and appeared in front of everyone’s sight!
The entire area suddenly became quiet as everyone eyed that black-hooded jacket-wearing boy which appeared brand-new, as well as the calm face of the young boy, which face was still carrying that indifferent smile that seemed to never change even if the world ends in front of him.
The black-clothed boy, who had suddenly appeared was carrying Alva on his arms, in a princess-carry style nonchalantly, adding the surprise of many people.
“…I just left for a short while and this had happened…? Are you all stupid or just fools? Why did you go so deep in the frontline?”
The black-clothed boy muttered with a large frown. His expression indifferent as he turned towards Eerika’s direction, seeing her current condition a dark shadow dawned on his handsome face.
"Allen?!!"
"Sir Allen?!"
"The Demon Prince Dante?!"
Many people quickly became stunned when they saw the black-clothed young boy. During this war, almost all the people had known and see Allen’s existence. And although he was a Demon, which they had a very worst impression in the beginning, but after several weeks of fighting with them and protecting Asgard, their impression on him already transformed for the better. Although the person himself had declared that he was not fighting for Asgard but for a single person, it was already enough to change their opinions on him.
Not long after, he had become akin to that of a supporting pillar for the Asgard among the hearts of many people. They had already started accepting him even with his roots—he might be a demon but he is different!
With him here, everything would be alright.
...Thought by many people as their expressions turned relief.
