Because Si Louxi did not make any move to dodge, this sudden punch hit its target solidly.

Si Louxi still looked disdainful as she extended her hand and placed it on Deva’s chest to strike.

“You’re looking down on me—” she hadn’t finished speaking before she spat out a mouthful of blood. This wasn’t even the end. She felt her chest was boiling as if she was about to throw up all her internal organs.

She suddenly fell and sat down on the ground, her expression extremely ugly.

Deva retreated a total of seven steps.

He stopped once his back met the wall behind him.

Si Louxi looks at Deva aghast.

Just what had happened?

One exchange actually gave her a complete defeat!

Fortunately, she was a Half-Saint Invincible Realm Expert; otherwise, she would have been seriously injured by this punch. Even death would not be an impossibility. Although she didn’t actually put much power in her attack and defense, what about the other party?

She drew out a green jade longsword and slashing her sword at Deva.

At this moment, Deva wouldn't just stand by and watch him being attacked like before and so his gaze turned serious as well. He released a bit of his energy and lightning sparks coated his body like golden snakes dancing around him to block this attack from this girl.

It looked like Deva caught Si Louxi’s longsword with his hand.

Hiss!

A surge of powerful lightning energy traveled along with Si Louxi’s green jade longsword and entered her body.

One must know, Allen’s power of lightning had already reached beyond what a mere [Goru Goru no Mi] could achieve due to mutation. And even without his original power and [Leviathan], Deva was still capable of unleashing such might.

Not able to withstand such shock, Si Louxi let go of her longsword due to the numbness in her arm.

Deva grasped onto Si Louxi’s green jade longsword. Then, with a quick twist of his fingers, he turned the tip of the sword against Si Louxi's smooth neck.

“That was an interesting welcome, Lady Si…”

Deva smiled coldly. He maintained his cold and aloof expression as if he was a statue of a god, his expression not even changing since the very start. The expression on his face and the look in his eyes was particularly clear and calm.

“Though, I don’t mind your family’s custom of welcoming a guest, but can I still ask for an explanation for this sudden rudeness?”

“Just who are you?”

Si Louxi endured the blood in her throat from coming out and glared at Deva. This series of counterattacks were so smooth that she didn't have time to react, earning great admiration and fear from Si Louxi.

“As I said, my name is Deva… the Deva Path of Pain, currently acting leader of the Dawn which you should already know from your little sister Si Mulan.” Deva smiled curtly and bowed like a noble aristocrat.

It wasn’t until that moment that the man who had led Deva inside and his group finally reacted. They were all angered and shocked. Their anger was because Deva had actually wounded Si Louxi, while their shock was because they were wondering: how had this man managed to accomplish such a feat in just one exchange?

Who exactly is this man?!

They were about to rush at Deva to restrain him when Si Louxi turned towards them.

“Enough,” she called out, stopping them.

“Leave us alone!”

The guards were astonished by Si Louxi’s behavior. She actually didn’t pursue it? Although it was indeed her wrong this time because she was the first to attack but everyone knows how much unreasonable Si Louxi was. After all, her talent and cultivation were already high up in the clouds with her young age. Her ego and confidence were as high as her gift. Basically, nothing exists in her eyes, instead of herself and Si Mulan.

They hesitated but they know better than go against her orders.

Casting one last glance at Deva, they turned around and left through the door.

“I apologize…”

This perhaps was the very first time that Si Louxi sincerely apologized to someone else. Much less towards a man!

However, she did it and for some strange reason, she was not disgusted by it and even feels as if it was just right for her to do it.

Well, she was indeed the one who had started testing him all of a sudden.

Deva looks at her coldly and didn’t say anything.

“It doesn’t matter. You are Si Mulan’s elder sister so I can see why you did it. I’m not that narrow-minded. However, sometimes you should take caution on what you want to do. It’s good that you’re confident with your power but don’t forget, there are Heavens beyond the Heavens.”

“… …”

“You would not just vomit blood if you are not Si Mulan’s sister,”

Deva muttered coldly.

“…I will never forget this lesson,”

Si Louxi sigh and nodded at Deva.

Honestly, Deva was quite surprised. She had heard about the great prodigy Si Louxi and many tales about her unreasonableness full of pride and dignity. But it seems like; rumors are just rumors after all. There is just no one who could compare to her, could stand on the same stage as her. And so, her demeanor was above anyone else in the Divine Martial Continent, that it can be mistaken as arrogance.

However, she is not totally unreasonable.

She knows when to step back when she made a mistake.

“I had already apologized; you should let me go, right?"

Si Louxi negotiated as she watched Deva still holding her sword pointing at her throat, with a wry smile. Her tone was softer than before. Even her expression was much more genial than before.

“You’re quite sensible compared to the rumors says,” Deva smiled at Si Louxi and pulled back the sword before rotating it and offered the sword’s hilt at her.

“Thank you…”

Si Louxi smiled wryly and grabbed the hilt.

“…They are not wrong. I did see myself as unreasonable but I still have my own pride. I know when I am in the wrong…”

“It seems that little girl looking up to you is not an injustice. So be it…it’s a pleasure to meet you, Lady Si Louxi, I heard so much about you from Si Mulan.”

“I hope they are not something shameful that would cost me to lose face,”

Si Louxi giggled in amusement.

“Nothing I could point out…so I assume it’s quite safe…”

Deva chuckled in amusement.

“Come in,”

Si Louxi smiled faintly and ushered Deva inside, then she gestured him to a nearby chair. She walked over to the jade table and picked up a small porcelain kettle, pouring tea on one of the cups.

"Please have some tea," she muttered genially as she offered the tea to Deva.

“It’s nothing much, but I hope it would suit your taste,”

“Thank you,”

Truthfully, Deva was an artificial being, and eating and drinking were not necessary for him. He doesn’t have a metabolism feature like ordinary existences. He doesn’t need to eat to survive as he lives through absorbing the energy around him, like breathing air. Even still, if necessary he wouldn’t mind satiating human pleasures like eating.

Although his metabolism doesn’t work like any living creatures, the food that entered his body would be then broken down into energy and be absorbed by his body. In addition, he still has the five senses active. There is no secretion of course, but like any high-level beings, he can fully turn everything that entered his stomach into fuel/energy for him without any wastes.

Well, for beings like Deva, eating and drinking was just a formality like the current situation. Although they possess five senses and five desires, they actually didn't have the mind to indulge themselves.

He picked up the tea from the tray and symbolically took a sip. For Deva’s taste which had been imparted from Allen’s memories, the tea was neither fragrant nor sweet, but it tasted ancient. This must be the best tea leaves the Si Clan could afford. Well, not as good as the one he has though~

Si Louxi took a sip from her own cup and gracefully sat down on her seat. She stared at Deva with a soft expression, not letting out guards towards the mysterious man at all. Whether it’s because Deva was her little sister’s master or the fact that she knows that she would never be able to do anything if Deva has any ill-intentions at her…or probably both.

“I heard that since you’ve been into the Despair Grieving Mountain, you have not gone out yet from there and she had not seen you since. Are you here looking for her?” Si Louxi asked.

“Not me,” Deva answered.

After seeing Si Louxi’s doubtful expression, Deva couldn’t help but chuckle in great amusement.

“As I said before, I am not Si Mulan’s master… I’m just his clone, you can call me Deva Path of Pain. The one who entered the Despair Grieving Mountain was my real self. I didn’t meet them yet because something caught my interest and so I stayed there…”

Si Louxi was startled upon hearing Deva’s words.

To think it was true…!

What made Si Louxi felt even worse was that Deva was just a clone yet his power was beyond her. Then, how strong and powerful is the real one?!

Si Louxi had once seen and met the Jade Emperor who was called the strongest war god in the Divine Martial Continent. However, she didn’t feel this kind of helplessness from him.

“Something caught your interest…?”

Deva nodded and took a sip on his tea, “Evil Sect,” he muttered. Si Louxi’s brows furrowed. Deva didn’t beat around the bush, “The Evil Sect had contracted with powerful demons from somewhere and was planning to start an attack here at the capital.”

“What?!”

Si Louxi’s eyes widened and she almost jumped at her sit.

“Is what you said true?!”

Deva nodded his head, “I was planning to see the Jade Emperor and warn him beforehand but unfortunately, I couldn’t find him. He seemed to be not here in the Imperial Capital. And I don’t have any contacts here aside from Si Mulan…”

“And so you came to me…?”

Si Louxi nodded, trying herself to be calm.

“What about the Passing Cloud Sect?”

Deva shrugs, “You don’t need to worry about it. Two of my other bodies; Asura Path of Pain and Animal Path of Pain, are hiding within the Passing Cloud Sect and protecting Si Mulan and the other disciples. Every information I have was already shared with them so basically, they know everything and should be notifying the Sect Elders of the Evil Sect movements through Si Mulan and the rest.”

Two other bodies? Asura Path of Pain and Animal Path of Pain…? Si Louxi who was worrying about the movements of the Evil Sect couldn’t help but notice something in Deva’s words.

He’s not alone?

He’s not just a single clone…?
