Chapter 754: [Fateful Meeting (2)]
“Playtime’s over!”
He grumbled.
And his spirit exploded.
“Kuaaak!”
Concentrating on the extreme, Allen moved his body. The Death reaper too made its move and the Death Scythe blurred as if it had become invisible. But the Allen did not look terrified. He only snorted. Then, with his [Phantom], he safely passed through the baptism of attacks and attacked the Death Reaper once again. Relentless, wild attacks numbering dozens in just a single second, and after confirming that he inflicted some damage, he would retreat backward.
He would ignore a few of the spikes that attacked his body as if it would even be able to dent his clothes, avoided the blades of wind and the scythe itself somehow, and then once again attacked.
As he traversed from every direction like a ghost, his lips were arching into a faint smile of amusement. Lightning sparks shot from his body, stunning the Death Reaper but it was only momentarily. At this moment, the greatest advantage of a Death Reaper shows.
It has one of the greatest vitalities among all the demonic creatures in the world. Especially if they are in the Demon World where all demonic auras and magic converged. It strengthened and keep them alive as much as possible, nourishing them, and enhancing their power, that their power and true level didn't match up, the former higher than the latter.
One can even say they are almost immortal in the Demon World. And most of all, due to the fact that Death Reaper is part physical and part wraith, every kind of attack towards them was halved in effectiveness.
Even still, a critical hit would allow Allen another chance to attack it due to its weakness being exposed. But if it didn’t, he would retreat without hesitation. Patience is needed to fight a Death God like them. Rushing and showing impatience would only make the battle even harder. They are not something that can be killed or suppress with absolute power. They are more ghastly than ghosts and annoying than cockroaches.
All of Allen's movements were repeated as if set up with the Death Reaper beforehand. Little by little, but surely, he could see damage accumulating on the Death Reaper. Although it’s fast as lightning and its strength hidden within those skeletal bony hands were extremely powerful, they are not something that could baffle him.
In just a few minutes, the Death Reaper’s hood became increasingly tattered, and its wounded physical body was spilling out black auras. When the number of wounds increased on its body, its accuracy of swings of its scythe became lower, but instead, the speed and its destructive power increased.
The blades of wind didn’t disappear and attacked him twice by coming back on the same path once reaching a certain distance, and the spikes from the ground became thicker and its number increased.
However, Allen was like a slithering eel traversing and evading those attacks with leisurely ease.

“I can’t hit?! I can’t reap?! How is this possible?!!”
The reaper was looking at Allen with disbelief.
It was confused.
It was bewildered...
It was terrified.
“There’s nothing impossible, stupid!”
While saying, Allen swung his spear again. The spear’s body glowed and an image of a serpentine dragon that seemed to be traversing the sea appeared around it.
BOOOOM!!
The spear, with all of his strength, just barely avoided the Death Reaper’s scythe and ripped its wrist. It screamed.
“Kuaaak! How, how can I not kill you!?”
Its rage finally breached the limit.
It even brought out all the magic it has. That changed into the form of a long, sharp scythe and rose in the surroundings.
“Useless!”
This was the moment where a large amount of mana it just used evaporated into the air. Hence, even though the enemy was going all out, Allen also saw through its dulled movements due to wielding the scythe to approach it and struck with his spear with his full strength!
“Hup!”
Allen’s back glowed and a silhouette of a beautiful woman, the Ice Queen appeared. Her beautiful hand reached out and stopped the enormous scythe’s blade, protecting him as the latter rushed towards the Death Reaper.
BOOOM!!
“Kuwaaaaaaak!”
The Death Reaper let out an agonized scream as Allen’s spear pierced its chest. He attacked the same location continuously and finally succeeded in destroying its bones. The Death Reaper stiffened while teetering, and Allen swung his spear twice again and succeeded in attacking its body.
A loud explosion occurred.
A black crystal-like core could be seen at the center of its broken rib cage.
Seeing it, Allen’s smile widened.
“It’s over,”
The moment he said that, from his free hand, a bright golden spear appeared—
“Longinus Replica! Let’s see if you can still survive!!”
Allen scowled in anger as he thrust the spear which was full of purified holy power.
The Death Reaper, seeing the spear on his hand was shock and terrified. It immediately wanted to turn around and run away but his speed was even faster than light itself and the spear of light pierced through the exposed Soul Core of the Death Reaper—
“Kuuuuaaaaaaaahhhh—!!!”
The Death Reaper let out a piercing cry akin to that of a banshee and then, a noise of something breaking echoed. If it was the normal way, although Longinus replica can deal large damage against the Death Reaper, it would not be able to kill it one blow because of the troublesome nature of a Death Reaper.
And besides, the Longinus would only hurt Allen at the same time, hence if it was not taken in one hit, it would be extremely troublesome—after all, it was a Holy Artifact that purifies anything evil and Allen was a part demon. Even slightly, he would still take damage just by holding it.
That is why Allen didn’t use it always and avoided using it as much as possible.

But this time was different. Although he can certainly kill the Death Reaper with his own powers, it would take a very long time to do so. And that particular ‘time’ is something he lacks. Thus, Allen saved it for a good opportunity—and that is, to directly break the Soul Core of the Death Reaper using it.
Of course, it's easier said than done. Thus, Allen observed and analyze every pattern of how the Death Reaper moves and look for its weakness.
And finally, the chance appeared.
The Death Reaper let out a painful cry as it slowly vanished. After a few seconds of writhing in the ground, the Death Reaper’s body collapsed on the ground, emitted a faint light, before it became black ash, leaving only the scythe and the broken crystal core which was its very own Soul Core.
"I always wanted to do that..."
Allen twirled the Longinus replica in his hand before it slowly becomes smaller and finally turning into a card, almost similar to that for a trading card game with the image and description of the Longinus Replica.
[You have earned 2,051,894,873 experience.]
What an enormous amount of experience!
Sizzle!
Allen smiled bitterly as he looks at his arm which was now smoking like burnt meat. Just one use of it and it already almost devastated his entire arm—what a horrifying double-edged blade he had.
His hands were horrifically hurt. Fresh blood flowed uncontrollably. Looking at his wound, if it was not for his Godly Physique that was even harder than the physical body of a True Dragon, his entire arm would likely have turned into ash on the spot due to the purifying power that was radiating from the Longinus Replica.
It is truly an untamed horse!
However, it was an incredible trump card that would certainly be of use in many situations as long as used correctly.…
... ...
“Here he is at last: Dante, the One himself. The Great Demon Prince of Change! And the ally of all weak and the Oppressed. Right? This is a magnificent surprise!”
As Allen appeared on an enormous cavernous hall that looked like a magnificent Throne Room of an Empire Castle, he was then greeted by a loud cheerful voice.
Hearing this irritating voice, Allen turned towards the source and saw three golden throne chairs aligned side by side with each other.
At the right Throne Chair, sitting was a red-haired man adorning with a luxurious gem-laded royal robe. This man was roughly around his middle-ages and with striking flaming red hair in a crew cut style. He has a square face, handsome facial features and locked his intense eyes on Allen’s figure. Mirth and cheerfulness could be seen flashing on his gaze.
Also, he was flanked by four serious-looking men who were all in black suits.
And Allen can feel that each of them was extremely powerful devils!
Even Devils have become so stylish, they even know how to wear formal suits… he mused. However, what caught Allen’s attention was that, just behind the three Throne Chairs, several huge dark gold chains hung down, binding someone.
However, not just mere someone—since the person hanged down was a few dozen meters tall, seemingly reaching the surface of the ceiling.
This person was an unimaginable giant!
This giant had a height of twenty, thirty meters, or possibly even more. Even though his lower body had completely disappeared, passing through the floor, till down, his upper body itself was more than a dozen meters tall. By pure estimation, this was a giant around forty to fifty meters tall. If one looks closely, those who came from Asgard and Olympus would immediately recognize the face.
He was known as Loki, the Trickster in Asgard while in Olympus, he was known for his other name; The Titan; Prometheus, Brother of Atlas, Menoetius, and the infamous 'Fool': Epimetheus. Either persona, he was a terrifying Giant or Titan, the blood of the Primordial Gods flowing within him.
... But Allen knew of his another, real identity, that would cause many Gods terror and horror—the real body of the Demon Emperor- Lucifer Morningstar!
The traitor of Heaven.
“I have heard so much of your recent, magnificent, and mind-blowing activities these past few years, Brother. Your arrival greatly honors me. Come, please, sit, join us. We have so many things to talk about, too many things to catch up for old time’s sake. Ah! Dear me, how impolite of me,” The stylishly crew-cut man slaps his forehead as if he had remembered something.
“…Something to eat? Drink? I know you liked drinking…I can also prepare damsels or dames if that’s what fancies you.” he chuckled. “…Of course, such things are contrivances, like so much here. For the sake of appearances, as you might expect.”
“No, thank you. Mammon…”
Allen sneered in response.
“I can take my time fooling around, only after I beat that bloody-awful face of yours until even your mother cannot recognize you anymore! For the sake of venting my frustrations piled up these past few lifetimes because of you~”
“That’s one savage greeting. But, I'm sure you do. You have fought through hell to do so. Yes?”
Mammon grinned, unperturbed by Allen’s hostility.
“And I dare remind you, my mother had already died long ago… it’s been, what, ten or so centuries…probably more, well, doesn’t matter.”
Allen sneered.
Then, his eyes glanced at the lone man standing just beside the left throne chair. His hand leaning against the Throne Chair and his lips arching into a faint smile.
Seeing this extremely familiar lanky young man, Allen’s eyes narrowed and his lips unknowingly curled upwards.
Vergil--Demon Prince of Absolute Darkness.
"Greetings, my dear brother...and welcome... home~!"
The Demon Prince sitting nonchalantly said with a grinning expression.

Empress' Evolution
The bright red light of the flames swallowed her vision but soon that red light transformed into a blue hue and she was dragged into that light. ‘What’s happening?’ It was too bright and she was forced to close her eyes, she was blinded — even though she was already dead. After being pulled into the light she began to feel annoyed as her skin was irritated by some kind of rough sand. By the time she opened her eyes. She could see the full view of the sky. It was blue and there were clouds scattered about. ‘Ugh, is this Hell?’ She stated as she rubbed her head with her fluffy and furry ‘hand’. ‘Furry?’ She looked at her ‘hands’ and her mouth opened wide. Her hands had become soft and fluffy paws of a white-furred beast with purple spots. ‘What the hell?’ She touched her face with her paws and confirmed that it too did not belong to a human. Below, she felt something was moving, she can tell as if it was another limb connected to her. ‘Don’t tell me!’ Turning her head around, she found a seven-inch tail sticking out behind. ‘Phew!’ She felt relieved that it wasn’t what she thought it was. “These soft and paws, this cuddly fluffy hair, this cute tail — ah shit, did I become a beast after my death or have I been dreaming of being human as a beast all this time? If it is the latter that is one long and realistic dream.” === [It’s the former, stupid *] === Said a woman’s voice from in her head. === As always thank you for reading, also the image in the cover is not mine, I found it on Pinterest and thought it was cool and suitable. All credits got to the illustrator. Also, this is a new type of story that I have not read about yet. Basically I am writing an evolution novel without prior knowledge so I don't really know what is considered cliche in this genre.
