Chapter 764: [We'll Survive!]

The Monster Horde’s momentum can terrify people when one sees their ranks but the warriors in front of the City stood unyielding. Their bodies emitting radiant glows. Some even have some beast silhouettes behind their back; tigers, dragons, lions, hawks, it’s as if they are manifesting their auras into that of beasts to display their ferocity and strength.

When the monsters stepped within the twenty-meter range, booms exploded like a modern war as cannoneers brought forth their ire using the modern mass killing weapons and archers and mages bombarded with their prided skills as if throwing nukes, slaughtering dozens and hundreds of monsters in an instant.

Deafening roars and cries of beasts along with the sounds of destruction echoed—even the forest that was dyed white due to snow became a burning hell in an instant.

The thick snow piled up around the City, seemed to have become a natural debuff for monsters, helping humanity as the almost half a meter piled up snow caused the monsters to slow their charge and movements, causing them to have a hard time evading the incoming hands of the death gods. But nevertheless, this stench of death didn’t even scare the monsters.

They look insane and deranged as if they have been injected with chicken blood—they charged and charge without care for their lives. The monsters in front turned into literal cannon fodders as the ones behind them made use of their deaths and bodies to pass through these obstacles.

“How come there are more monsters here than the other countries? From the information, we gathered, aside from the north where the Ice Dragon is expected to appear as well as the east whose land resources are rich, the other countries don’t have even half of the monsters here…”

“That’s what I’m wondering as well,”

Eliade sigh, her gaze appeared complicated.

“It’s probably because ‘that’ was in the Mountain Range…”

At this moment, Lieri Del Con slowly descended from the sky and said.

“'That’, you mean the Dungeon that was theorized to be connected to the Celestial Realm? The one where Sister Rebellion first appeared?” Flor furrowed her brows as she immediately understands what Lieri had said.

“Overflow?”

Sun Lingling and the others also thought so as well.

“Now that you mention it—that Dungeon was not completely conquered, even up till this point, right?” Ava stepped forward and stood in front of the others. She placed her palm against her face and then when she lowered them down, a third eye appeared at the center of her forehead, and along with it, her eyes shone brightly.

The Celestial Ruins. The deeper you go, the stronger the monsters become. Hence, no one has yet to completely conquer it, even up until now. And because everyone was busy preparing for the Winter Solstice, the Dungeon has been set aside.

But to think this would happen...

Crack! The monsters in front of the Horde were pierced through by the light coming from her eyes and then magically, slowly turning into stone. The ones in front immediately become one, then crumbled into stone shards, destroyed by the rushing monsters from behind.

However, roughly around a hundred or two monsters were turned to stone, while the other fell down, partially turned stone but still living.

Ava’s face paled—the magic consumption of her [Petrifying Eyes] was too big, especially at this number of many high-level monsters. However, thanks to the Medusa Tribe behind her who immediately did the same, the Monster Horde was once again reduced by several hundreds of monsters in a blink of an eye.

“Whoa, easy there…”

Flor hurriedly supported Ava who steps back, as if she was going to fall.

“I’m fine,” Ava smiled faintly. She took out a small blue vial in her Interspatial Ring and immediately drunk it. It tasted like an apple, a fruit she likes eating.

Normally, Mana Potions tastes like a bitter guard due to the materials used. But the ones that were distributed to the main family were much higher in grade than normal high-level mana potions and even their flavor was varied- some fruity, some alcoholic, some sweet. Even drinking them continually didn’t cause any side effects such as dizziness or nausea.

One can’t help but marvel to the creator’s level as an Alchemist—in the current family, there are a dozen alchemists but there is still no one who could beat the sea folks Alchemist:Agathi Dorhuck’s level.

Color immediately returned to Ava’s pale face after drinking the mana potion. However, it doesn't mean the fatigue and exhaustion had been eliminated.

“I think you need to return and rest first,”

Sun Lingling suggested with a worried expression.

But Ava shook her head.

“I’m really fine…” she muttered. Then, she turned towards the direction of the monster. “Besides, I think it’s too late to turn back now,”

More monsters are already within the twenty meters range and there were even those who already spewing magical attacks at them. However, Eliade just swung her hands in the air, and a barrier of thin ice appeared around them.

Although it looked thin and fragile, it seems unbreakable when the attacks hit them as they didn’t even crack or shake.

"Kill all Knight-level monsters and support the defenders! Do you copy?!"

Sun Lingling roared.

"Understood!"

More than four hundred warriors said at the same time.

"Let’s shake the world!"

As Sun Lingling shouted, all the Hero-level warriors standing in the frontline with their weapons headed in every direction like arrows. Although there were some Rook-level as well, the Knight-level monsters are much troublesome to deal with so better finished them first.

They headed towards the Knight-level monsters they choose as their target. Some teamed up, some went solo—unlike the previous world, the levels, the preparation, and even the numbers of the Superhumans were much, much, much higher and stronger than they seemed invincible even against this horde of monsters.

If it was the previous world, this amount of monsters would have caused the entire City to break down in just several days.

"Let’s see who kills the most monsters!"

Sun Lingling squinted at Flor with a mischievous grin.

"Come at me, Sis!" Flor agreed without thinking twice.

“Hey, you two, don’t cause trouble,”

Eliade sigh helplessly and hurriedly warned them.

“It's fine, this amount of monsters is not even enough,” Sun Lingling laughed heartily. After saying that, like children coming into the amusement park, their expression was beaming as both of them headed in different directions.

“Look at those two,”

Eliade made a wry smile while watching the girls' cheerful backs.

“Well, let them be… with their strength, it’s hard to imagine there would be something that could pose a danger to them in this battlefield.” Ava shook her head with a warm smile. Lieri, on the other hand, just chuckled in amusement. Then, her hands emitted electric sparks and- “Plasma Wave!” called out as electric sparks fired in every direction, attacking monsters that had surrounded them.

“Just make sure those two don’t overdo it,”

Eliade muttered as she stepped back and started chanting. This time, she would go with a big one to eradicate most monsters and end this war right now and then.

At the top of the City Wall…

"More than a thousand monsters in just less than an hour…"

Mia muttered with a helpless smile as she watched the battle from the top of the City Wall.

“Look hopeless, doesn’t it?” Layla chuckled. But her expression says otherwise. “But we’ll survive,”

“Well, we have a guardian with us, after all,” Mia grinned. The other women around her turned at her and then smiled knowingly.

“Man, are you talking about me?”

A voice rang out from behind.

“You’re here...?”

Mia immediately greeted after seeing the newly arrived youth she loved so much.

Behind them, a white shadow slowly descended. He arose from the dust and walked over slowly with murky air wrapped around him. It was as if he has merged with the scenery and became the only thing between Heaven and Earth, everyone’s eyes were on him.

Even those soldiers and people standing at the top of the City Wall to guard couldn’t help but become attracted by this youth who appeared.

The rumored Ascended God—

The {Beast King}; Allen Bando.

Very quickly, he arrived before everyone and landed just in front of Mia and the others.

The figure had a youthful appearance and seemingly a teenager around fifteen to sixteen years old. He had soft and slightly disheveled black hair, yet his seemingly innocent face was a little thin. It gave off a very comfortable feeling when others looked at him. But according to what they heard, the {Beast King} has white hair and mesmerizing red eyes.

Did he dye his hair or something?

The people who saw Allen before them couldn’t help but wonder.

The pair of pitch-black eyes was like the night sky. His eyebrows were sharp like swords, his eyes shining like the stars, and his face was smooth like jade.

As if he was an immortal who descended to the mortal world, he had a refined handsomeness about him that made him stand out wonderfully.

His white robe was white as snow, hovered in the air, and his presence was threatening. Whoever saw him would’ve complimented him for his attractiveness first before his regality.

“How’s that side?”

Mia hugged Allen the moment she saw him, placed a faint kiss on his cheek, and then asked.

“Xue Ling, Liu Muxiao, and the rest could take over without any problem.” Allen shrugs.

What Mia asked was the New Republic of China’s situation. Since that is the home of Liu Muxiao and the others, they stayed there to defend the country. Allen went there to check up on them while also providing some support and soldiers; monsters and golems he had created.

“Welcome back,”

Layla, Aileen, and Sara followed Mia and also greeted Allen warmly.

“As for Philippines and ‘Abbar Dastan’, the Enterprise went there to support. Without powerful monsters attacking, they should be able to protect themselves.”

Woooosh.

As they were talking, suddenly a commotion occurred at the top of the wall. A dragon-like creature, with two heads, appeared in the air and suddenly launched an enormous fireball towards the barrier of the City. Many mages hurriedly tried to block the dragon's breath but even with their power, the barrier would surely still suffer some damage, reducing its durability.

Mia and the others frowned from the heat that emitted from the sun-like fireball.

Allen also frowned.

“Wait a bit,” he muttered and with a flash, his figure disappeared.

“Annoying,”

Allen reappeared just in front of the City’s barrier, facing the enormous, roughly around ten-meter radius fireball with a cold expression. While speaking, a thin almost transparent barrier-like sphere appeared around him.

He reached his hand, and under the dumbfounded expression of the people, Allen stopped the enormous fireball with just a single hand. When others thought the fireball would explode, suddenly from his palm, a sucking vortex appeared.

The wind gathers in a spiral form and the enormous fireball also rotated in speed, then, gradually it turned smaller as time passed by, then eventually disappearing, completely absorbed by him.

The people who witness such a technique were dazzled.

As for Mia and the others, they only smiled proudly.

That is their man!

Allen’s palm turned into a fist, and the smoke emitted from his palm scattered.

{Energy Absorption} technique—this is the name of the skill he used.

Allen before them was not the original body and wasn’t a mere clone either. With a homunculus that is capable of unleashing a third of Allen’s true powers, the clone of Allen’s real identity was actually one of Allen’s six paths—{Preta Path of Pain}

The {Preta Path} grants the user the ability to absorb chakra or any energy in any form. Just like in the Naru-verse, this ability is primarily defensive in nature as it is capable of absorbing any energy from an individual through physical contact.

In addition to this, the {Preta Path} is able to absorb any attacks or skills that are pure energy or energy-based, thereby nullifying their effect.

Though, unlike other {Paths of Pain}, Allen's Clone has no soul and cannot be regarded as half-being like the {Deva Path} that is because it wouldn’t be able to bypass the World’s Boundary if it had. It was only able to move because Allen was manually operating it, through the black receivers hidden within its body, along with some {Puppet Controlling Technique} that he had learned.

Despite the original body fighting, the control for the {Preta Path} would not be impeded since Allen can divide his mind through {Parallel Thinking}, able to multi-task simultaneously without a problem. Unless, of course, he is killed or incapacitated.

That is why, among the {Paths of Pain} the {Preta Path} is the most special and unique as Allen himself was directly controlling it and can be said to be- truly him, the direct extension of the Original. It's almost the closest existence as an incarnation for him.

The twin-headed winged dragon looked at Allen in shock. However, that was not yet the end. Allen’s right hand crackled with lightning sparks and a spear of golden lightning manifested in his hand.

“Now die,” he said coldly as he throws the lightning spear.

The twin-headed winged dragon was startled and hurriedly dives down to dodge but it was still too slow. The spear pierced through its thick scales and made a large hole in its stomach.

Ugyaaaaaaaahhhh—!!

The twin-headed winged dragon shriek in fear and pain as it drops to the ground. Despite being pierced through with the Lightning Spear, as expected from a Dragon race, despite being a lesser kind, its vitality is tremendous that it was still alive.

However, the warriors fighting on the ground immediately slaughtered it. Being paralyzed by lightning, it couldn’t do anything but awaits its doom.

The warriors were as excited as the monsters, after all, this is a good time to earn Experience Points!

Especially against a Twin-Headed Winged Dragon that is already halfway through the Knight Level, the experience points earned after killing it would be quite extravagant. Despite the troublesome situation, the Superhumans are quite eager and full of enthusiasm.

Cackled! Allen raised his hand again and made an archery stand. A golden crystal bow appeared in his hand and when he pulled the string, his lighting powers activated, materializing an arrow made out of lightning.

Allen narrowed his eyes and fired successive arrows that exploded upon impact, slaughtering the flying monsters one after another.

The sky was immediately filled with explosions as if a firework display was occurring.
