《Breaking Limits: A DBZ Fan-fic》Chapter 11

5 years later.
Kakarot yelped as he dodged an incoming kick from his sister. That was a close one. If he had been hit he was sure to suffer the worst of pains. He spun around to try to find her. She was no where to be seen. She was still too fast for him it seems. He would surpass her one day. Just wait. He stood perfectly still in the room. He made no sound as he tried to sense where she would appear next. He used his smell. His hearing. He focused on the shift in the air. Anything to give him a hint to where his sister could be. She was good at hiding. At appearing out of nowhere. She was incredibly fast and strong. And he fought her everyday. It was good training. It always got his blood pumping. The excitement that filled him at the prospect of battle was something only a true saiyan could feel. A feeling he knew and loved.
There.
Above him.
Sarada had a smirk on her face as she came down with a drop kick. Kakarot may have spotted her, but he was not fast enough to react. The kick connected. Right on the head, sending her younger brother face first into the metal floor. She was impressed. He managed to detect her this time around. She had hid her ki completely. He wasn't a master at locating ki. Not yet. If it was low enough he would fail to sense it.
"So you relied on your senses"
Kakarot rolled over onto his back. A massive grin was plastered on his face. His eyes were alight with pure joy as he nodded.
"I finally predicted your next location. Next time you won't get the drop on me"
Sarada smiled and helped the boy up.
"Not bad" she ruffled his hair and playfully punched him in the stomach. "I'll hold you to it"
With a few buttons pressed the two left the gravity room and stepped out into the capsule corp garden. The sun was high in the sky and the clouds drifted by idely. A nice warm day. Perfect for training in the outdoors. But they were banned from doing such activities ever since they almost destroyed half the mansion. It wasn't their intention. They just got carried away. Gine made sure to teach them a lesson for that. It was a day they would never forget. Thinking about it sent a shiver down their spine.
The two made a game out of reaching the house. Of course Kakarot lost. He was not as fast as his sister even though he took shortcuts. Which was against their rule. What people don't know won't hurt them.
"I'm starving" Kakarot said as he sniffed the air. He wondered he cooked today. Was it Gine or Panchy? Was it both. Either way it would be a feast. As always.
"You're always starving Kakarot " Sarada rolled her eyes. When was there a time her brother was not hungry? She couldn't think of one. "I wonder where Bulma is"

"Lab? "
"Maybe" Sarada stopped in front of her bedroom door. "You can go hunt down some food. I'll go work on some things "
"What are you making this time? "
"Something useful"
"You say that all the time"
Sarada shrugged and pushed her door open. An interesting action seeing as she had to sidestep the flying Bulma who tried to land a surprise attack. Sarada should have known. Of course she was trying to get the jump on her. She did not expect her to attempt such things after she learned to fight. It was a pain, but there was nothing to be done. Bulma is very persistent and will not give up until she achieved her goal.
That's why Sarada found herself dodging the arsenal of attacks directed at her. Bulma had gotten faster she noted. Stronger too. It seems she's been training on her own. It did her some good. She's improved since the last surprise attack.
Kakarot stood and watched for some time. He noticed the changes as well. Bulma really was a bit faster and better. Stronger too. Her moves were more natural and smooth. Her breathing was under control and her eyes focused. Not bad. She keeps getting stronger. One of these days she might actually land a blow on the skilled Sarada. They both have the same goal. To one day defeat their teacher.
He grinned and decided to join in. Just watching got him aching for battle again. He smoothly inserted himself into the fray. Adding to the kicks and punches aimed at the calm Sarada. She wasn't affected at all. She just had an amused smile on her face.
She planned on spending the rest of her day working on a couple of things. She'll have a little dent in her time table. She wondered how long it would take for the two to tire out? Thirty minutes? And hour? More? It mattered not. She could go on as long as they could. It was amusing really. The two tried so hard to beat her. She was aware of it being their goal. A milestone for them to reach. That's the way she liked it. For as long as they had that goal in mind the stronger they will become. And to make sure they never lose that motivation Sarada would keep getting stronger with each passing day.
She ducked a high kick from her brother and skillfully swifted away from a fist from Bulma. Maybe she should fight back. Give them more of challenge. And try not to get too into it before something blew up and she was punished.
With a swift blow to the stomach Kakarot was sent flying out the window. Sarada wanted to laugh at the comical look of pure horror on the boy's face.
"No fair! "
Sarada never set any rules for these little skirmishes. And she wasn't aware of any rules set by the other two either. So as far As she knows there are no rules.
With Kakarot out the window she was left with a determined Bulma. They stood opposite each other. Each were on their guard. Sarada less so. She smiled teasingly and raised an eyebrow. She was daring Bulma to make the first move. She knew very wel that Bulma could not resist a challenge.

Bulma pounced. Ready to strike. She developed her own style when fighting against Sarada. She was weaker and slower. As such she developed impressive reflexes and always ssought to use Sarada's own strenght and speed against her. It wasn't a very easy feat that's for sure.
"It's time for me to put an end to this before things get out of hand and I am punished".
Sarada easily caught Bulma by the arm and judo flipped her onto the ground with a victorious smirk
Bulma groaned in pain as she glared at the younger girl. Why did she always have to put her through so much pain.
"That hurt! "
"No pain. No gain" Sarada fell onto her des chair and rummaged through her desk drawers in search of her latest project.
"That's a stupid saying " Bulma huffed and rubbed her soar back as she sat on Sarada's bed. Sarada was going to be the death of her.
"To each their own" Sarada said uncaring as she finally found what she was looking for. She wondered if it was developed enough to serve her any use. She would have to test it. In the outdoors before she blew up her room. She rested the small device on her desk and salvaged her needed tools for the operation. She needed to be delicate. One wrong move and things could literally blow up in her face.
"I'm back! Sarada that was mean! "
Sarada ignored her younger brother and continued her work. There was lots to do. Lots to discover. To create. To decipher. To find. She had four years remaining. Four years until the main story line. She purposely bided her time. She could have easi hunted down master Roshi. Climbed Korins tower. Approach Kami. It was all within her capabilities. She could have done it with no setbacks. But she did. She remained patient and spent her time with her family. Time was important by it did not mean she had to spend every second training. She focused on her science. On her family. In her life. That was important at the moment.
"What are you making? " Kakarot leaned over her shoulder to peep at the new device. He seemed very curious. "What does it do? "
"Ever heard the saying; Patience is a virtue? "
Kakarot sighed and sat on the ground with a pout.
"But I wanna know what it is"
Bulma rolled her eyes. "You know she's not going to tell us anything "
"You're no fun sometimes " Kakarot complained.
Sarada only hummed. She wasn't paying any attention to her impatient brother. Patience is the one thing she failed to teach him. He'll have to learn the hard way.
"Sarada" Kakarot whined.
Sarada hummed and turned in her desk chair. She stared at her brother. Pensive and slightly amused. She looked at the device in her hand and smiled. She slipped out of her chair, chuckling. She subtly pressed the button on the device.
"Here you are" her smile was deceivingly sweet as she casually tossd Kakarot the device. "I'll go check on mom" she said as she left the room.
Bulma was suspicious. She didn't trust that smile.
"Cool"
She eyed the small object in Kakarot's hand. It was beeping. The red light on it flickering constantly. Bulma widened her eyes in sudden realization.
Kakaro, the clueless fool.
In the blink of an eye Bulma was off the bed and out the window without a word.
She nimbly landed in the garden and stared up at the window she came out of. She heard someone come up behind her. She looked over her shoulder to find a smiling Sarada.
"You are very sadistic "
Sarada only smiled innocently as she eyed her bedroom window. "Chocolate? "
Bulma eyed the offered candy apprehensively. She was suddenly very distrusting of the seemingly innocent ten year old.
Her love for chocolate overpowered that distrust.
"Seriously. You're sadistic "
Sarada only hummed as the sound of a contained explosion entered her hearing. The sound was followed by a scream from her brother.
She chuckled, amused.
"Very sadistic "
"He lacks patience" was the answer and apparently the reason for her sadistic act towards her brother. "He wanted to know what it did. There you have it"
"A bomb"
"It emits a shockwave strong enough to immobilize even the strongest of foes" her explanation was filled with pride as she thought of the possibilities. The terror she could strike into her enemies.
She wondered how much further she could scientifically improve it. Could she make it disrupt one's ki? That would be interesting and prove very useful.
"You made a bomb" Bulma eyed the proud Sarada. A smile on her face and bright air around her. "A bomb"
"A bomb"
"You're a danger to society "
"Am I now? " Sarada didn't seem to care. When did she ever?
Bulma sighed and made her way back to the house. Sarada was something else completely. It's best she not worry herself too much. It's not like she was one to talk. She created similar weapons. A laser gun being one of them.
At least she didn't set off a bomb in her own room.
"Hey Sarada, won't your mom be mad? "
Sarada looked thoughtful for a moment. She chuckled nervously upon realizing that her mother would in fact be angry. Furious even.
That was not good.
"She's going to punish me"
"The fact that punishment from your mother scars you really proves a fact" Bulma said as she observed the nervous Sarada. She hardly feared anything. The only person who could send her running was her mother.
"Mothers are the scariest beings in the universe"
