Chapter 15 – Golden Crow Sacred Ground

Qian Mu’s eyes fluttered open. She was currently bound to the side of a cage with a chain around her neck. She could feel the coarseness of her skin as it appeared like torn up parchment.

She remembered waking up in great pain yesterday. Her bones were broken in many places and her entire body felt so weak and distraught. Apparently, the Efficacious Nirvana hadn’t worked properly. Instead of having her reincarnate her soul had transmigrated into another person’s body.

This girl’s body whom she had ended up in was also named Qian Mu. This confused her. Was this a coincidence? Or did this mean Hai Yun had also been reincarnated into someone with the same name?

However she was faced with other more pressing concerns. These had to do with her new life.

This Qian Mu was born to a servant. Apparently her mother had died in child birth and because no one had ever truly asked her mother about who she had an affair with, it was not quite clear who this Qian Mu’s father was.

With a dead mother, she had no one to take care of her, so she was raised by some indentured servants. However those servants were simply working to pay off their debts, so when Qian Mu was six years old, they sold her as a slave to the person they were indebted to.

From there, Qian Mu had been sold to various masters. Most were highly abusive, some had even sexually assaulted her. Thankfully, they atleast had some conscience and did not violate a girl under the age of ten. However they certainly made her do various other shameful matters other than explicit intercourse for their personal pleasure.

These incidents resulted in her being incredibly timid and completely afraid to so much as make a sound. Many of her masters thought she was mute. Now she had been sold to the young master of the Golden Crow Sacred Ground.

Here she was treated like a dog. A leather collar was strapped to her neck all day long, and she was forced to crawl on her hands and knees. She was not even allowed to wear clothes! At night she got no blankets or beddings and would have to sleep on the bare ground of this dog cage like room! She couldn’t even considered a human!

Her primary function was to allow her master to vent the frustrations of his inner heart on her so he would not suffer any impediments in his training. Sometimes, he would cast illusions on her, making her appear like a foe whom he had been defeated by, and to remove his inner demons he would beat her till an inch of her life.

Finally, he had actually killed this Qian Mu. Due to this, the new Qian Mu was able to assume control of the body.

Today was the second day of her life, and simply with the memories of how she had been treated previously, she was more enraged than anything else. Partly because she had known the person who was now her master.

His name was Yan Qiu, and she had been on friendly terms with him. He had been one of her various suitors, and she had never had any bad impressions of him. However the way he treated this slave made her furious! This damned two faced bastard! This Qian Mu was not even 13 yet! Her body was completely parched of any Heaven and Earth Qi, so she had virtually no resistance to any of his heavy handed strikes!

Suddenly, the door to her cage swung open.

As she turned her head, her face immediately met with a solid kick.

“How many times have I told you, that when a dog sees her master it is to come and lick his boots clean. Yet every time without fail you dare turn your eyes to look at my face!” Young master Yan snarled, “You should be praying to heaven that this master even pays attention to you every day! Any one of those common plebeians would be eternally grateful to be this master’s dog!”

Qian Mu instantly became furious. However she was forced to quietly hide her anger. Instead she simply crawled forward and bent her head towards his boots. Reluctantly, she slowly stuck her dry tongue out and gently licked a tiny piece of leather on his boots.

Instantly there was another kick. This time to her abdomen. “Do you think I have all day for you to clean my boots? Licking such a tiny portion at a time. How long do you want me to waste waiting here!” Yan Qiu smirked, “Or are you just a glutton for abuse? Perhaps that’s why you purposely try to aggravate this master.”

With a wave of his hand, some servants brought a chair. Sitting down on it he pulled a scroll out of his robe. “You have till the time I finish reading this scroll to completely lick my boots spotless. If there is so much as a grain of rice left I will personally pull out your tongue!”

Indignant, Qian Mu fought hard to speak with him. Although she was not submissive by nature and loved to fight for what she wanted, she knew very clearly that if she were to reveal herself the consequences would be dire. So for the time being she could only do as she was told. Later she would find a way to escape. One day, this person who dared to treat a human so badly would certainly wish he were dead! In fact, the entirety of the Golden Crow Sacred Ground would be utterly and completely destroyed by her! For this was one of the powers which had raided the Crystal Ocean Alchemy Sect. She would certainly make them pay dearly for these actions!
