《The Two-faced Otaku》Examination and First encounter with Royalties

When he entered the classroom, he had obviously already gathered the gazes of everyone in the room. The girls couldn’t take their eyes off him and watched him with heart shaped eyes, while boys sent the usual looks of jealousy and hate towards him.
Such things always happened to him on daily basis in his previous life, so he started disregarding them while walking towards the seat near the window
While everyone was watching Kei, the door to the classroom opened and what came to their sight was a witch-looking woman, who seemed to be in her late 70's, long black hair and full black eyes which looks like the abyss of darkness, coupled with a very wrinkled face then you can have a witch Kei thought
While he was thinking about the witch of his past life Kei can't help but smile while everyone aside from him was disgusted by her looks and started to ignore her while talking to their seatmates.
Obviously the person in question disliked it and her expression turned dark and she started shouting. “I advise you all to refrain from angering me. My name is Merlin Impacta and I will be the one to handle your examination!”
As she said that, she released a suffocating pressure, instantly making all the people, in the room, almost pissed their pants while gritting their teeths.
the pressure released by the teacher was extremely strong, showing the difference between her and the students.
Merlin once again spoke in a loud voice “All of you start preparing now because I will start giving you the test papers in a minute, don't even think about cheating because once you are caught I will make sure to make you regret it for the rest of your lives”
Hearing her, all of the students got serious and started preparing for the exam. When all of them were done with the preparations, teacher Merlin started handing out the papers.
As Kei looked at the examination paper he was given, he couldn't help but grin because its so easy to the point that its funny and seems like joke.
When the teacher gestured them to begin the exam, Kei started answering and finished the exam papers in a short amount of time. The four hours examination for most students was done by him in only 30 minutes which made Kei feel like laughing.

Soon Kei came down and gave the teacher his papers, she seemed to be quite puzzled at this before asking. “Is the test so easy?” Merlin asked in a sarcastic tone, she has already noticed Kei before, and even she was shocked by his perfect looks but most importantly he didn't even flinched when she released her aura earlier and now this kid is walking to her as if planning to pass his exam
Kei nod his head as he spoke. “Yup, it's easy.” Kei answered as if it was normal.
The unexpected words made Merlin shocked for several seconds, before she suddenly stood up from her seat and slammed her hands on her desk in a forceful manner and shouted “DON'T FUCK WITH ME BRAT!? THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE!” She snatched the papers from his hands and quickly checked them over. The more she read the more her face pale, as she can't believe it. It was huge blow to her pride because she's the one who made the exam and it was answered so easily
However, she still looked at Kei, she gave a forced smile before speaking. “Sorry for shouting earlier, it's just that it was so unexpected that you have finished it in a short amount of time, you can go explore the academia around until the results is out"
Kei gave his teacher an elegant bow before leaving the room, he started looking around while making his plan of conquering the school
While walking for an hour Kei saw a big sakura tree and was attracted to it, as an otaku he want to experience what it feels like sitting on it like nura rikuo in the anime so he decided to take a seat and soon decided to take a nap.
While enjoying the moment of peace no one came and disturbed him which made him content, but after some time, he felt two people standing close to him. Kei tried to just ignore them, hoping that they would just leave him alone. Unfortunately, he soon heard the voice of a young boy. “Greetings it is nice to meet you Kei Von Deaux” He has already greeted him, this closed off all of the opportunity to ignore, since if he continued to ignore him like this it would end up destroying his reputation as a two-faced otaku.

Kei sighed and turned around to greet his two new guests. What he saw was that both of them seemed to be children of similar age to him, around 12 years old but the only difference is that Kei only looked 12 but he was still 4 years old because of their race. They stood out quite a bit, because they had an aura of elegance around them, which made them look quite a sight to behold.
The one who greeted him was a young boy with short gray hair and gray eyes, as well as a handsome face with gray fox ears and tail. He was dressed in expensive hakama clothes with golden linings at some places. His face had a playful smile on it that further increased his charisma.
The second person was a girl, very similar to the boy standing next to her. Their age seemed to be the same and she had the same blonde hair and blue eyes, except her hair reached all the way down until her waist and a golden fox tail and ears. her looks were truly stunning and anyone could see that when she grows up, her beauty will be heavenly enough to destroy kingdoms. She was wearing a beautiful, miko outfit that look so great on her.
Anyone would notice that they are blood related, Just as Kei started thinking about they’re blood ties, the boy spoke again. “You probably are guessing how we are related. Well if you guessed that we are twins, you guessed correctly.” Hearing the boys words, Kei's questions instantly cleared up. ‘So that's why they looked so identical.’
Not giving time for Kei to enjoy his correct guess, the boy continued. “My name is Brook Kitsune and this is my sister Nami Kitsune, I am honored to meet you Kei Von Deaux you won’t believe for how long I wanted to meet The White Crimson Prince in person. I am very glad the rumors didn’t lie about you.”
From the last name Kitsune and the unusual hair, fox tail and ears Kei easily came to the conclusion to who they were. These two people could only be connected with the royal family of the kingdom animalia. And the two before him must be the crown prince and princess. They are both very famous for being extremely talented in physical enhancement. But what made him excited was their looks that can only be seen in anime This made him freeze for a while and unable to respond he struggled hard to hide his excitement as an otaku and just showed his princely manner on the outside. They were royalty, if he they took offence about something Kei did, it could end up badly for his school conquering plan
Thankfully, just at the right time the beautiful princess Nami spoke for the first time, in a beautiful voice. “Greetings Kei, I have also wanted to meet the rumored white crimson prince for quite some. I think that the rumors are not really exaggerated”
After hearing this Kei finally opened his mouth. “Greetings prince Brook and princess Nami my name is Kei Von Deaux, as you already know. Nice to meet you"
Kei said that with a graceful bow that made him look elegant and refined, instantly making princess Nami, lose her focus and blush.
"You can call us by our first name as well, I hope we can get along well” Seeing Kei bow, Brook quickly said that with a friendly smile.
Hearing this Kei spoke"You can just call me Kei as well, It is a pleasure to meet you Brook and Nami"
Only after hearing her brother’s and Kei's words, Nami finally snapped back to reality, Blushing from her actions, all she could do was turn her head to the side hoping Kei wouldn't notice it. Peeking out from the corner of her eyes she can't help but feel her heart beat faster.
Letting out a sigh, her appearance returned to the previous one of maturity, that didn’t correspond to her age. However her heart and mind were still in turmoil, this was the first time she felt like this. Usually she was a mature girl who's emotion was so hard to sway, but since she first laid her eyes on Kei's super handsome face as well as his cool looks, while sitting in the sakura tree. She felt her heart beats quicken whenever she casts a glance at him, which was completely new to her and she didn't know how to respond.

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.
