An intense bright light shines in the middle of a large circular chamber. The five people who had just heard a voice in their head while on earth found themselves somewhere else entirely. As the light fades they see they are surrounded by many people dressed in red, blue, green, brown, and white robes. As they begin to look around another circle of people steps in front of the robed figures. They are dressed in full plate armor with a mixture of weapons from spear and pikes to swords and hammers. They appear to be afraid of the five people who just appeared in the same room as them.

As the five being to stand and look around they all hear voices that are seem to be bickering and arguing about something nonsensical regarding chess moves. As the bickering grew louder they all hear a few women laugh as the men continue to fight over something so small. When all of a sudden a large set of doors is swung inward to allow them to enter. As this happens many of the guards turn pale and look towards the opening in the wall.

Four men and women enter the men in one group and the women in another. When they realize everything is quiet they all look towards the center of the room and away from one another. When they see there are 5 humans standing in the center of the room they all look surprised. After about a minute of the five strangers staring at the new comers and the new comers staring back at them. Meanwhile the guards are unsure of who to look at so they just continue to look back and forth still pale in the face.

One of the men stepped forward he’s a little over average height standing at five foot eleven inches with dark blue hair and refreshing blue eyes. He looks to the people in the middle of the summoning room then to the mages and says “What are these people doing here disrupting the preparations for the summoning rituals?” To which an old wrinkled man with a white beard that touches his knees and a bald head wearing a blue robe steps forward. “No your majesty it’s….. They…… we didn’t even start and yet they…..”

He then coughs to try and gather himself for a moment then tries again. “Your majesties” he then bows and continues momentarily forgetting social etiquette. “These young people are our summoned heroes”. The king’s and queen are surprised because it wasn’t time for the summoning ritual to even begin yet their heroes’ were already here that didn’t make any sense. Then they all her five voices boom throughout the room. “Unto you we have delivered our champions.

Treat them fairly and with respect as they come from a world opposite of ours. This will be the last gift you receive from us for the battle against the zealots of the Void. We hope you will train them and give them purpose as they will remain in this world for the rest of their lives. As such you all owe them more than anyone can give even us.” With that the voices recede and all the occupants of the room are left with dumbfounded expressions on their faces.

Well all except for the five that are still wondering what the fuck is going on and where their backyard was and what did those voices mean “they will remain in this world”? As the rest of the room returned to somewhat normalcy the man who’d originally stepped forward to ask what was going on continued to walk to the center of the room with the rest of the other magnificently clad members he’d walked into the room with following close behind.

“Ahem… Hello there champions of the gods. My name is Marcus the king of Aquas”. With this introduction he bows much to the shock of everyone else present. “This” he grabs a women just behind him with purple hair up in a bun with blue eyes “is my lovely wife and queen of Aquas Mary”. She looks flustered as she and the other royalty all thought they’d be able to greet their mighty heroes from a place of power to show case their regal status. She curtseys and greets them all as well.

Only getting a small wave from Jess as she doesn’t understand what’s going on but doesn’t let it stop her from being friendly. As the others slowly come forward beside Marcus the five on looking at them take a step or two back as they see races that should only exist in fantasy novels or movies greet them with smiles bows and curtseys.

After Marcus an elven couple walk up to introduce themselves. They seem incredibly graceful and poised. “Hello my name is Calabras and this is my beautiful flower ahem wife Zandrea”. He was tall at about six foot two inches with yellow hair down to his neck and purple eyes while his wife was shorter at five foot six inches she had the same hair albeit longer following down to her waist. After them is a short statured couple that they could only guess were dwarves.

As the man looked to be made out of ninety percent muscles with a long flowing beard that was braided and an incredible gorgeous slightly rotund women. “Hello summoned ones my name is Tobin and this lovely creature beside me is my loving wife Helga. His hair was a dark deep brown with equally brown eyes while his wife had her black hair braided much like her husband’s beard and green eyes. Finally the most surprising introduction was when a large man with a red mane of hair and large eyes and a cat tail introduced himself and his wife.

“Once again greetings outlanders my name is Thanen and this is my mate Salindria.” After they finished their introductions Jess stared at them with large puppy eyes and asked the first question that the heroes had voiced since coming to this world. Many were excited to see what questions they all had. Until of course “Hey hey are you guys part cat?”then she proceeded to jump around Matt and say “Oh my gosh sweetie look look their cat people isn’t that amazing”.

After jumping circles around him Matt quickly gave her a chop to the head to get her to settle down much to everyone else’s worry. After all none of the summoned had ever known one another before as the gods’ champions they were chosen from amongst trillions of other beings that best embodied their god or goddess. After Jess stopped rubbing her head where she’d been struck Matt turned to look at the kings and queens to ask a somewhat better question.

“Where the hell are where”? As he asked this he gave the small group of royalty he’s best “tell me what I want to know or shits going to get ugly stare”. No one knew what to say as not many people if any had ever shown open hostility to any royalty ever and lived to see another day. “Ummm well you are currently in our summoning chamber as we have summoned you to help aid us in our battle against the “Void””. Matt looked to his cousin Haley with a “did you get any of that look” to which she just shrugged.

“Ok how about you start at the beginning you know like why did you kidnap us and put us in this horrible movie sketch”- Matt. “Oh right ha ha sorry normally we have a bit more time to tell you what’s happening as we summon you here and tell you about what we need help with and if you’d be interested in coming to aid us which we’ve never had any say no but haven’t had any one forcefully taken from their world be….”-Marcus. As he talk’s Matt beings to look annoyed starts rolling his hand in the “speed it up” motion as the king continued to babble.

To which his wife slaps him softly upside the head to get him to be quiet. “Pardon my husband you see we’ve never had the divine’s step in and summon their own champions before only heroes we’ve given a second chance at life to. As such we would like to apologize to you all for taking you from your world without your consent.”-Mary. She kneels this time and the others in the room quickly follow after. As Matt looks at them he says “Where are we, who are you all, what do you want from us, and how did we get here.”

The queen looks up and begins to tell them about their current situation. They had been brought to the world Luetania brought forth by the gods’ themselves to help defeat the church of the void. That they were this world’s kings and queens for their four respective nations. Aquas to the west a city on the water just of the coast accessible by either bridge, boat or if you were feeling extra adventurous swimming. The elves hailed from the land to the east filled with massive trees which they used as homes and fortresses only accessible by flying beasts or pulley elevators.

To the north was the Dwarves kingdom deep inside the actual mountains. Then finally to the south was the Beast people’s kingdom in a desert. That’s they wished for our help in combating the evil that lived in their world. And finally their last question was answered with a “we aren’t sure” apparently the god’s had only chosen to summon their own champions once before during the founding of this world when monsters ruled it and people couldn’t find strength to fight them.

What exists of the royal families today are all direct decedents of the heroes of old. As the Queen was finishing up her answers they had all risen from the floor and were awaiting Matt’s answer to their pleas for help. He was about to answer when the elf queen asked him “how is it that you seem to know one another” she points at Jess and him. He looks over at Jess and says “Actually she’s my girlfriend and this" he points at Haley then to Max "is my cousin and her boyfriend and then my other cousin and her little brother in the back”.

They all look behind Matt and have puzzled looks on their faces. Matt was about to ask what’s wrong when a small voice is heard out from behind he doesn’t recognize. “Ummmmm I think you’ve got me confused with someone else”. As the four spin around to find where the voice came from they find a five foot two inches tall women most likely around their age with short spikey bright blonde almost white hair greeted them. As they noticed that Logan wasn’t there they started to look around the room to see if he’d been hurt or grabbed by any one. Not finding anything Matt is about to say something when the room gets incredibly cold almost below zero cold all anyone hears is. “Where’s my little BROTHER”.
