On an indistinct planet far away, in a temple, A flash of light appears as a group of twenty something's appears inside a hall. Inside the hall is surrounded by people where large white ornate robes with a complete hood covering their faces, all holding tall golden staffs.
“What is going on?” One of the group asks, but one man has a large smile. He is excited looking around. He immediately knows what happened as he thinks. 'I’ve been isekaied!' he even speaks as the head priest steps forward.
"We have been pulled to another world. We've been isekaied!" He said excitedly.
Some of the group at his words smile understanding, the others frown.
"Another world how is that possible?" One of the groups speaks up.
The man wearing the tallest hat stepped forward, "Through the powers of the gods all is possible."
'Great a religious world that...that's going to be annoying.’ The excited man thinks.
"I first want to apologize to you for taking you all away from your home. But we are in desperate need." The head priest bows.
"Demon king?" The excited man guesses.
The priest blinked at the question. "Well yes."
"Knew it!"
The priest suddenly concluded, "I see the gods have informed you of our plight"
An annoyed woman stepped up, glaring at the excited man, "No he just guessed. Please explain what's going on. Some of us understand what is happening, no matter how unbelievable it is. The others not so much."
"Yes. Yes.” The priest seemed to be catching up with the group, going back to his planned speech, “Our world is in peril, we need your help young heroes. To fight these demons back."
"But we are just normal people how can we help?" The girl said.
“The summoning gives you powers that our people do not. We will teach you how to control it and fight. If you do not think you can fight we ask go help our scientists to improve life as we understand you come from a more technicality advanced world.” The priest explained.
That seemed to assuage some of the 20 something's learning they would not need to fight.
"Status"
"Information"
"Character"
The excited man yelled trying different ways to pull up his status menu.
The priest sees this and hurriedly speaks, “I see one of you trying to access your status screen. Yes, there is one but it must be unlocked. We have prepared these bands to unlock your screens." The priests surrounding the summoning circle holding black bands on treys approaching the humans.

"Please put this on in order to unlock our world's status screen. You will then be able to absorb the power of the world."
The excited man was a little confused by the terminology so he asked, “This will enable us to level up?”
“...that. That sounds correct.” The priest said uncertainly, “It will allow you to increase your abilities if that's what you mean.”
“Yes!! I finally get to level up.” The man fist-bumped the air.
The excited boy grabs one of the bands excitedly and clips it on his wrist. "Status!"
A blue screen appeared In-front of him showing his status. His smile only grew wider as he read. “Tens all across the board. Class hero, magic light part for the course for a hero. World language, advanced learning. Huh, what's this little icon?”
The man tried to click the icon but nothing he tried did anything. ‘Looks like a chain. must be something we unlock later.' The boy thought shrugging excited for anything else.
The rest of the people seeing the excited look all took their own band putting it on. None of them noticed the dark smile on the head priest's face.
"Now that everyone has unlocked their screen please follow us. We have a feast prepared and tomorrow we will talk with you all to find out where you belong."
“Is there a way to go back to earth?” The girl from earlier asked.
“Only by saving the world.” The priest said.
“Oh.” The girl looked away looking strangely listless.
“Again, I apologize but we are in dire straights. Let us retire.” The man said guiding the woman to the flow of people.
The heroes filed out of the room, leaving only the priests.
“That was good. They were the most eager batch yet.” One of the minor priests said excitedly.
“Yeah, we didn't have to force anyone to wear the bracelet this time.” Another priest chimed in.
The first minor priest chuckled, “It works so much better when they believe us. I still can't believe they willingly took the bands. The magic is so much stronger when they volunteer to become slaves “
The head priest hearing the conversation came up, “Careful, it seems these heroes are from a world where this thing is common. They might figure out what is going on, they work so much better when they think they're free.” Silence fell over the group at his words, as the head watched the door, then asked, “Did you see any of them that might be trouble?”

“This time no. But it's a good thing it takes a little time for the status to appear otherwise...” The young priest shuddered.
The head smiled devilishly, “Let's all go feast!”
——
In a place between, out of phase with the world, a woman looks on in horror as the people they had just brought to help this world were enslaved. When she turned to look towards the god himself she could see he tacitly approved of this action.
“How could you let them do this?” She demanded the of the god.
The god's neutral expression changed to anger as he looked at the woman, “You dare question me?”
“I do!” The woman shouted, “You are nothing but a slaver.”
“Calm yourself.” In the room was another man, he was careful to control his emotions remaining neutral as he spoke to the girl, yet his eyes never left the god.
The woman was flabbergasted by the man essentially telling her to calm down. She had every right to be angry, and she had seen him deal with a similar slave trade. ‘What is going on?’
“I'm sorry for her outburst.” The man said to the god.
The god looked down his nose sneering at the two, “This one's I will forgive it. Your creatures have no idea what's good for my world. I do.” The god said that last part pointedly, “And besides these people are mine to do with what I will. They were always my slaves. This just makes it easier for my people.”
The woman was about to lounge at the god, only held back by the man.
“Understood.” The man covered the girl's mouth keeping her from saying something to get them in trouble.
The god looked pleased down at the man, “You are much less power-intensive than summoning them myself. So expect another summons soon.”
“That is my job”
“How could you?” The woman said meekly to the man.
The god gave them more notice waving them away. Changing the world around them so the two stood among the chaos of the between next to the truck.
The woman exploded, “The fuck was that? You essentially banished that other world what makes this different?”
The man stayed silent, making his way to the driver's side door.
Seeing him not saying anything she slammed his door shut before he could get it open shouting, “You can't do this!”
“Why not?” The man snapped.
“Because...because it's wrong?” The woman couldn’t believe what she was hearing, ‘Could he not see why?’
“Why is it wrong?” The man said looking the woman right in the eye.
“You know why! These people are hurting them. I mean you stopped the other worlds abuse why no them.”
“Because they’re gods.” The man said defeated.
“Why should that make a difference?”
The man looked angrily into the woman's eyes, "Then what should we do? I have a job to do.”
The woman shook her head, “I don't know, but you can't just deliver them to this hell.”
“What makes it a hell?” The man asked curiously with no trace of anger.
The genuine curiosity threw the woman off, thinking there might be something more to it she gave her response more thought, “...they are enslaving them as they come through. Then use them for experiments and milking them for any, and all knowledge they have. Then disposing of them.”
“Yes, that's terrible, but what can we do?”
“I don't know!” The woman shouted
“Think!!” The man shouted back.
The girl looked at the man confused wondering 'is he asking for help?'
“We could…” The woman started.
“You would defy the will of a god.” The man asked seriously.
“If it’s this shit.”
“Good. Then let's make our delivery.” The man said opening his door leaving the woman dumbfounded.
“What?”
“Did you know, that sometimes delivery’s can fall off a truck?” The man said with a wicked grin.
The woman grinned back starting to understand.

Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. Empress' Evolution
The bright red light of the flames swallowed her vision but soon that red light transformed into a blue hue and she was dragged into that light. ‘What’s happening?’ It was too bright and she was forced to close her eyes, she was blinded — even though she was already dead. After being pulled into the light she began to feel annoyed as her skin was irritated by some kind of rough sand. By the time she opened her eyes. She could see the full view of the sky. It was blue and there were clouds scattered about. ‘Ugh, is this Hell?’ She stated as she rubbed her head with her fluffy and furry ‘hand’. ‘Furry?’ She looked at her ‘hands’ and her mouth opened wide. Her hands had become soft and fluffy paws of a white-furred beast with purple spots. ‘What the hell?’ She touched her face with her paws and confirmed that it too did not belong to a human. Below, she felt something was moving, she can tell as if it was another limb connected to her. ‘Don’t tell me!’ Turning her head around, she found a seven-inch tail sticking out behind. ‘Phew!’ She felt relieved that it wasn’t what she thought it was. “These soft and paws, this cuddly fluffy hair, this cute tail — ah shit, did I become a beast after my death or have I been dreaming of being human as a beast all this time? If it is the latter that is one long and realistic dream.” === [It’s the former, stupid *] === Said a woman’s voice from in her head. === As always thank you for reading, also the image in the cover is not mine, I found it on Pinterest and thought it was cool and suitable. All credits got to the illustrator. Also, this is a new type of story that I have not read about yet. Basically I am writing an evolution novel without prior knowledge so I don't really know what is considered cliche in this genre.
