Dok PoV
It's been a little over three years. It's been really busy since Life Innovations was sent to ruin after the HQ was destroyed.
Since then, a lot has changed. First all of us in my research group as well as everyone in our guild who wanted to help joined us. Besides our guild mates, we were found soon after by the twins that were always stuck to Kitsu.
They begged in tears to let us help them to which we didn’t have much choice in letting them.
The first job was to find a secure location. There were several ideas but most of them were trashed because it would give any military that found it a good amount of space and time to plan and act without us noticing.
So we ended up scouting out some tropical islands. The one we ended with was this.
An island with a huge crater caused by the collapse of a volcano. Though it's still active, it's only C-class and hasn’t even shown signs of activity since 1780. The inhabitants on the island are really few so having a transport of materials dock on one of the other shores and unload stuff wasn’t a problem. We made our base on the cliff around the craters. INSIDE the cliff. We weren’t taking chances so we purchased excavation equipment and began digging out the basic size. Once done we used metal supports followed by wiring and them metal sheets on all walls, ceiling and floors.
If I said to search up some government underground base from movies you should get the idea. The floors were all white and doors all mechanical. Lights were placed at the edge of the ceiling on both sides so there was always light.
To power the base, we made a small geothermal power plant and used the close proximity of the lava from the volcano to cut costs.
All this took one entire year. With the basics of the base built, we constructed several workshops so we could began watching Cronos videos and build the parts. If we could bring more people, we would have but unfortunately we couldn’t. All we had were the 100 or so guild members and their families. This put our numbers at above 300.
Most of the first machines were advanced computers with parts that are so cutting edge, only a company working with VR games would actually have something close.
Truly, Crono outdid himself for planning this out. After the main computers came the massive supercomputer that would run the bridge.
We had to dig out an entire floor for it. It also got a bit dangerous after the second year. Seems the US government got word of our transports during this time.
We had to dismantle the small building on the cliff for safety reasons and camouflage the entrance.
It began feeling like a movie around this time, except we are the bad guys and the military is trying to stop us.
Now just because we were in hiding doesn’t mean we weren’t connected to the outside world.
We kept watch of the worlds news. During the three years two new VR games came out. There was tremendous controversy about making more VR games but it seems they made several restrictions on new games. The Main AI can only make a world where the NPC are completely shackled to the occupation and should a virus change that all the inhabitants will notice and kill that NPC due to heresy or some other reason.
It was gruesome but it kept NPC shacked. We all felt sick seeing that because of our connection to Aurora.
We did let the kids play them though. Being stuck here isn’t the best thing for kids.
We started working faster after that.
At the end of the second year we began on the final part.
All of you must be thinking what exactly is the project. Is it just another way to send our minds into the game. Nope. This time crono made a project to send our very beings body and mind into the Aurora. We will still go through the character creation but that is to make our bodies similar to the residents. So we could surpass human limits.
We were truly going to virtualize our bodies and enter the world of Aurora. It was obvious that there was a safety for us. Should we die in the game we would be ejected but the side effects are yet unknown. Also we won’t be able to add the pain reduction like we could with the capsules.
Things got slow in the final year. Seems the military has built a base here. Thankfully because of the military, the population began rising so the materials we needed began moving and it became a bit easier to bring it to the island. What was harder was getting the stuff to the base, but for the most part we stayed undiscovered. It was a hassle since we had to build some tunnels under the town and buy one of the houses there and make it a transport point. The tunnels were similar to what the japanese used during the second world war. Hard to find but easy to use. We made it so we could walk upright and was nice and wide.
In the last year, two very important things were built. First was a smaller supercomputer whose programming was specifically used to find and connect to Aurora. The second and possibly most important piece we made to date. We called them Scanners.
They were long cylindrical tubes that held a huge amount of tech within that even now, we can't understand. We could only build it because Crono’s videos showed us step by step.
Well at least it was explained briefly. The process is something similar to a scan of the body similar to the brain scan from the capsule except the for the whole body. The scan is suppose to be to the molecular level and can even scan the entire bodies genetics.
Once thats done the next part is strange because its the process of virtualization, where the body is supposed to be broken up and turned into data. Don’t ask cause I don’t know how it's possible. (neither do i)
(A.N. Most of the machines are based off of Code Lyoko. For more info look there)
In the room with scanners 20 were built.
In the three years it took us to build this entire compound and make this, of the 40 billion we got from Crono what was left was 300 million. It was decided that what remained would be split evenly to each family so everyone got 3 million.
Even with this money we didn’t really know what to do with it though.
We have been away from the world for three years. Our families came with us so its not like we actually had any place to return to after so long.
We didn’t know what to do but the first thing we needed to confirm was if the machines were working.
Serving as the guinea pig I entered the first scanner while one of the others started up the process.

We decided to punch the location of Galton’s throne room as the login location. I hope Baal is alright and he would accept me there.
Well if he didn’t I would die and be ejected. Here goes. With the scanner finishing the scan I black out.
You have connected to Aurora. Congratulations and welcome back Dok.
Baal PoV
The time after the foreigners vanished was left with chaos followed by peace.
The Yin Yang Kingdom has expanded to nearly half the continent but we slowed down to bulk up and reinforce our strength. If we spread out too much and too fast, it would leave us weapon.
We have taken or assimilated various kingdoms such as the Dwarf and Elves because they collapsed from the chaos and lack of foreigners purchasing the goods. Son also gave us the control of his kingdom because he found it more worthy working as a warrior in an army and fighting then ruling from behind castle walls.
We discovered two other races of the zodiac that Crono mentioned.
When KaI and the other elites led the monster races and builders to the south, they encountered the centaur race. They are peaceful and nature loving but will attack if harm came to their homes. The elites negotiated with their leader and he willingly joined us with his people. They now live in Vandrain as guards along with all the Fairy warrior and treants in the new town known as Treehaven.
The village itself is near the shores but because the forest is dense and the centaurs don’t want harm to the forest they built the entire city in the massive trees.
Speaking of fairies, the number of fairy has grown well into the thousands and those who can survive to near level 60 become fairy knights. They are brought to Galton to train here before returning as great warriors. These knights are about the size of a halfling (10 year old human) and have the characteristic fairy wings
Fairies only have a single rank up from Fae to Fairy which changes their form depending on the level they rank up in.
The new fairy princess was able to surpass her mother and reach level 100. She became the fairy empress and unlike other fairy, she is human sized but maintains the four long fairy wings.
I was curious as to why the fairy queen was the size of a normal fairy while her daughter was human sized. It seemed to be because of the amount of magic power they possess during that phase.
At level 60 a fae has stronger magic power if she ranked up at that moment but the queen had magic but more power spells. Her daughter seems to have both in huge quantity and seems to compare even to a mid rank higher demon which is quite something.
Now about how my life is. Both my beautiful wives were pregnant. Just for the record, a Royal demon takes nearly 3 years to be born. They are born the same size as human babies so even though I was worried after I learned of their pregnancy from Isis I was told later not to worry since all the gods would help.
At the present, Galton itself looks completely different than before. The city, no, the kingdom had industrialized using what little we learned from Doks inventions left in Oreana.-`
We began developing greatly the machinery he made. Things like the massive furnace he left behind was downsized for smaller smithy's uses. Obviously, the magic circle plates were one that changed us the most. The plates were used for many home appliances. Anyone that could move even a bit of mana could activate and those who couldn’t, could purchase a small mana stone which had a quick recharge.
Schools like those Dok had built in Oreana were also made in all the cities. Children began getting education early on to maximize the great potential they have. Truly, in three years the world changed.
The Castle underwent complete reconstruction. Before it looked more like a tower then a castle so it was remade. It may sound selfish but it was actually the public that said I needed a proper castle. It now looked like a true castle. The dungeon was pushed underground. We had the rabbits dig under the castle and pulled the building down. What was left was 4 of the top floors. The library was emptied and the workshops were destroyed by using the dungeon core to get rid of it.
Then we expanded the castles walls and built a whole new castle. The same facilities were built in much grander scale. The new castle looked like a castle and had 15 floors but all used for one reason or another.
The throne room was still near the top along with my room and rooms for my children.
The dungeon core was moved to the new throne room and, like before, was placed over the throne. Once it was placed once more, it reestablished the dungeon and refined the building further.
At that moment, I was with Lilian on the throne reading some documents while Bernie was explaining the many different occurrences that are going on over the kingdom. While the kingdom interface was open and spread out, the advisers crowded to see and help me manage.
The advisors were all minions who worked in the library. These were all the smartest in the kingdom led by the one and only Bernie, doks best apprentice and the biggest book worm of all the librarians. He was one of smartest and his race reflected it. After reaching Royal rank he ranked up to Great Tengu (Brown Owl Variant). Just for reference, all the owls are highly intelligent species and a tengu very much shows that aspect of them.
As the discussion goes on I suddenly felt that something was off.
My expression hardens and I looked up.
Bernie: Um...master? Is something wrong?
Baal: Everyone move something is coming?
Everyone looked around and moved to the corners of the room. Just as they finished in the air two circles similar to magic circle but didn’t release any of it appeared. The grew to about two and a half meters and began moving up and down. There were two and they kept crossing each other and with each time it passed, more detail to something inside of it was being formed.
On the final pass, the body gained skin color and I blinked a few times as I looked at the face of the person who just dropped as soon as the circles vanished. Dressed in a strange long white coat and with a two armed machine on his back was a face I wouldn’t forget ever.
Dok: Yo Baal, long time no see.
Baal: Yes it has.
Lilian: Urg.
For some reason, Lilian put her hand on her swollen belly and frowned in pain. I stood up and walked over to her throne which was next to me. She was dressed in a long white dress made for her pregnancy. When I got near I noticed her dress drenched in blood.
Baal: Dok We will talk later. Bernie call the medics and send for the gods. I want Valeria’s help to sooth Lilians pain.
Dok: What's going on?
Baal: Lilians going into labor.
Dok: Labor?
He looked and saw her large belly and looked at me.
I smiled and winked his way before I pick up Lilian and ran out of the throne room. We flew 4 floors to a hospital ward we made. It was built for the guards who do intensive training and injure themselves so we needed someplace for them. At first we thought of making a separate building but then, we decided to make it here because we could make the room give a special aura which heals those inside faster and during birth. This added effect makes it easier on both the parent and child.
I reached the room fast and soon have her on a bed. She was in a lot of pain.
Valeria, Isis and a few others arrived.
Isis: Oh my, is it already time? Baal, please wait outside. Girls please get towels, water, and magic restraints. Get the female elites here as well. We need someone capable of holding the princesses arm and legs firmly. Valeria please help by casting extra healing spells which would heal over time. It should at least lessen the pain.
Giving orders to even greater gods, Isis took up the job she had gained. Since this place was built, she has been the one to birth all the children here and has gained many followers from the mothers who feel indebted to her for safely bringing their children into the world. Those who had complications in birth were saved by her because she prioritizes safety of both mother and child.
I leave the room to find all the advisors and Dok waiting.
Baal: Isis and Valeria, as well as the others, have just begun.
I walk over and sit down sighing.
Dok: So Baal...how is it being married.
Baal: Hard, Lilian and Lily are quite proactive in their approaches.
Dok: Wait! Lilian AND Lily? As in both of them, as in TWO wives?!
Baal: Yes. Why?
Dok turned the other way hiding his jealousy as he nearly punched the stone wall.
Dok: AH~ Being in a harem must be great~.
Baal: Well from the outside it must look nice and I am happy I married both of them, but each has their own ways of doing things and I need to know exactly what to do to please them both... not only in bed.
Dok was at the verge of crying tears of blood hearing me speak casually of my intimate life.
Baal: So, care to explain you grand entrance back in the throne room.
Dok, who sulked in the corner, began explaining how the world was and what he had done.
The real world as a whole had gone down hill. The government put huge restrictions on VR tech and games made for them. Even today, they keep trying to develop technology to attempt to find Aurora. Crono made sure to tell the world that we were still alive and safe.
Then Dok told me about the technology Crono left behind for Dok to create.
It was really interesting to hear him say that his entire body had been brought into the world unlike before. He still had access to all the old things he had before, included stats and skills, but he wasn’t protected from pain like foreigners used to be.
I could only smile warily after hearing how his world was now. It was then my turn, I began telling him everything that happened once all the foreigners abandoned Aurora and how I dealt with all of it. How his technology had advanced even without him thanks to the ingenuity of the gnomes and the craftiness of the dwarves.
His eyes shined when he heard that. I also told him about all the annexed territory we gained because of the chaos that ensued the world where foreigners were more densely packed.
Our population had grown immensely as well because of the technology. Even now many people still have lots of kids to help around farming and their trades but with technology it makes it easier to learn and better quality stuff is always being made.
Dok said while looking out into the current Galton that our world would most represent what existed 300 years ago in his world during what he called the Industrial revolution. (18th century) In our case its probably Magic Industrial Revolution because even though we have lots of primitive technology, it's all connected with magic and magic circles.
We talked while we waited outside the hospital door. The tension wouldn’t go down even though I tried relaxing while talking with Dok.
After a long 6 hours the door to the room finally opened. From it came out a sweat covered Valeria grinning.
Valeria: Congratulations Baal. You're a father now.
I couldn’t help but grinning.
Baal: Can we enter?
Valeria: Of course but no loud noises the babies finally went to sleep.
With approval I finally entered the room.
On the bed smiling while sweat covering her face, which was being cleaned, was Lilian. In a small crib beside her bed was the bundles. Yes Bundles,as in twins.
My mouth hung open but still with a slight smile. I moved close to see and picked one up in my arms. The first one was a young girl. She had short pitch black hair and on her back were two small wings, the left one one pure white and the right one other pitch black.
I put her down and picked the other one up to see. This one was a little boy, he had pure white hair and like his sister had a black and white wing but in the opposite order with left being black and white being right.
Lilian: They both kept a little of each of us.
Baal: Ya, if either of their grandfathers saw them they would probably try to attack.
Isis: Most likely. The race of the children can’t be ignored for sure but at least in the demon world they won’t have problems.
Baal: What’s their races?
Lilian: The girl is, Royal Demon: Lesser Nephilim Tengu (Divine Variant) and her brother is Lesser God: Lesser Nephilim Tengu (Demon Variant)
Baal: They fall right in the middle.
Valeria: Quite special kids.
Dok: Wow even as babies I can feel they are already strong.
Valeria: Oh most definitely, the babies can probably already throw you across the room simply because of their rank.
Dok laughed dryly hearing that and moving a few feet back which makes us all chuckle.
Baal: Rest now.
I say that to all three.
As I turned to the door someone stops at the door and yell.
???: Someone come help!! Lily has entered labor.
My eyes bulge as I run out and spot Ideo with Lily in her arms. Like Lilian, she was covered in blood.
I picked her up and brought her to a different room. The Gods began once more. Moments later Valeria came out.
Valeria: This will take a long time. Her labor is having complications. Please be calm and don’t go cause trouble Baal.
She shut the door in my face. The enchanted doors blocked all the screaming coming from Lily and we were forced to wait.
The labor was much rougher than Lilians. It took nearly a day and a half before they finally got the baby out. Then they had to call in several other angels to help cast a huge series of healing spells to recover Lily’s health which took a major pitfall during the birth.
She and the baby survived but just barely.
Ah, sorry.. I was wrong. She and the babies survived. twins… AGAIN.
Lily laid asleep in her bed after it had been changed since the old one was covered in blood.
The twins lay just like the first pair but unlike Lilian they were pure demon and both were girls. They both had feathers like Lily.
Isis told me that both of them inherited Baal’s race White tengu (Swan Variant). I felt it was fitting for the two girls, no two princesses. They would grow up graceful and hopefully less childish than their mother.
After confirming all of them were out of danger I finally left to rest. Dok had stayed the whole time.
Baal: So what do you plan on doing from now on? You have returned to this world, so what now? Will you open our world to the scum of your world?
Dok: I’ve been thinking of trying to connect this world through the same method as before. That way there would be no way for our technology to reach this world without it developing here first.
Baal: Make sure to warn them, We aren’t the same as before.
Dok: I will. I hope to return soon and have more fun with all the people here.
I nod and he smiles before his body breaks apart and vanishes. The small pieces fly up through the castle up into the sky as he leaves Aurora.
Baal: Best prepare faster. First I need some guardians for these four. I think the Drakes just finished breeding recently. Heh. I have been wanting a dragon myself so why not.
I return to my room. Slowly my anxiety leaves me and I begin to feel how tired I was. I took my clothes off and jumped in bed and fell asleep the moment my face hit the pillow.
Things were going to get interesting again so better rest up when I can.

The Complete Alchemyst book 2
Continuation of the Alchemyst book 1 Sometimes to be the good guy, you gotta be the bad guy. This is a story about Louis, a guy that was just trying to get along before he got kidnapped and forced to play cook by a Cartel. He's no Heisenberg, however. Now that he's out of Prison and put a beat down on some of the folks that put him away, he's facing the real pressures of Life as a single-person superpower: Everyone wants to use him for their own purposes. Along the way he's met a few girls, some good, some bad. He's looking to save the world, establish an evil empire, secure a future for the people he considers his, and maybe finally kill that damned superhero that started it all. This is not 'the boys'. Not all superheroes or supervillains are evil, The 'super' world is expanding to include aliens, magic, and the children of ancient deities and legends. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
