PART 1

Few days earlier…

It was a peaceful night.

Leaves sway innocently by the gentle cold winds of the night.

The calm light of the full moon disperses darkness and brightly lit the face of the earth.

And on a particular place, a village situated near the mountain had a feast circling on a bonfire. It is a celebration for a great harvest this month as they bask in the veil of moonlight.

Chatting voices could be heard here and there and some of them even played instrument while others sang merrily.

It was a festive night.

But

Unbeknownst to anyone,

On a darker side of the mountain, a shadow of a woman is observing them in her fiery red eyes.

Her face cannot be recognized due to dimness of the shadow that casted by a tree above her.

But what was noticeable is her out of place dress that is usually worn by a person with certain amount of money or a daughter of an aristocrat.

“How gauche. These people don’t know how to throw a party properly. What a primitive way of celebrating.” She commented as she looks at them disappointingly.

After she said those words, another shadow of a girl appeared out of nowhere wearing a maid uniform.

“Preparation complete. Please give us the signal”

She reported while kneeling. Her voice sounded monotonous.

“Good job Cerica. “ The woman congratulated her maid and flop her fan in front her face. “They lack elegance, don’t you think?” She added.

“It is as you say” The maid responded respectfully.

“Should I lighten up the mood?”

“As you see fit”

Although the maid is aware of those rhetorical questions, she still answers them respectfully because of her loyalty.

“Well then..”

With a flick of the woman’s fingers, countless eyes lights up as they begin to stand up consecutively.

Monsters of unknown levels probably a hundred of them readied themselves. Some of them have heights as tall as a tree.

The commotion must’ve rattled the villagers. They’ve temporarily stopped celebrating and looked around the surrounding.

They became cautious.

The merry atmosphere was replaced with sudden ominous silence.

Then..

*Huff Huff Huff*

What appeared out of the thickets was a green-skinned Orc twice as big as a human being with bulging thick muscles.

Seeing the orc didn’t terrify them at first since monster like that is very common in the hunting grounds.

“Is it lost?”

Some of the villagers snickered of the snide remark but some find it odd.

Usually, monsters tend to avoid humans. They distance themselves especially with many people like the village.

Although some find it strange, they choose to shut up.

Though the size of the monster is not a laughing matter but knowing its fairly low level not to mention it’s alone, 2 or 3 adventurers should be enough.

They took their weapons. Five of them tried to approach the immobile monster that looks like it’s going to attack at any moment.

“Finish it quickly! The meat might turn to charcoal!”

The village leader shouted at them together with his joke.

He was all smiles but as he looks at the adventurers, he was confused as to how they suddenly stopped.

One of them was running away.

“Is he looking for a toilet? Did anyone put weird stuff of the soup again?”

They all laughed at their leader’s joke.

What they didn’t know..

As the adventurers approaches the monster, one of them noticed the weird atmosphere behind those trees.

They begun to raise their weapons but suddenly halted.

They thought that the monster was alone so they carelessly tried to kill it but..

Looking at it closely, monsters were actually hiding behind the tree line under dimness of the place.

1, 2, 3, 4… and so on.. Monsters started appearing out of the darkness like they blend in it.

Watching them appearing one by one, the adventurers stood rooted until one snapped out, drops his weapon and runs away.

“Are you kidding me…..”

Hopeless words were uttered from of the adventurers.

They wanted to fight back but their strength left them as they were overwhelmed with the sheer numbers of monsters.

Finally realizing the reason of their actions, the villagers with their faces full of smiles took a complete turn.

Even though the monsters haven’t attack yet, the people in the village started running away.

Panicking voices of people overlapped one another together with the crying voices of the children.

Watching the village in turmoil with delight, the woman walks out of the dark.

Gentle light of the full moon struck her and revealed a very beautiful woman with a fiery red hair that contrasted the moon’s blue light.

The men who stand rooted at the place looked at her in daze. They were completely bewitched by her unworldly beauty.

The woman smiled at them and caused the men to cringe in excitement.

A moment ago, they were impaled by fear. Now they were strangely relaxed.

“Men..You are all the same.. You will all be part of me~”

Those sweet words were uttered as she licked her lips bewitchingly.

She then pulled something out of nowhere.

In her hands appeared a huge chained scythe, convulsing it’s as if the weapon is alive.

And without a moments delay, she swings it towards the men effortlessly.

It was as fast as lightning that the men couldn’t react immediately and the result was horrifying.

With a clean cut, their bodies were cut in half as blood gushes out uncontrollably.

The woman held her scythe towards those lifeless bodies. The pool of blood that was spilled everywhere gathered in her scythe like it was being sucked.

As the blood continues to enter the scythe, the woman hugged her own body erotically feeling the ecstasy like she was aroused.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve had these feeling. Thanks for the feast~” the woman spoke while wiping a drool on her lips.

Her maid stepped out of the dark and spoke as she kneeled.

“What are your orders?”

“Don’t be so distant. Come here~”

“As you wish my la---“

She couldn’t continue her words.

Without warning, her lips were ravaged by her masters’.

The girl in maid uniform moans in pleasure contrary to her cold looks.

It continued for a while until the woman let go of her. The maid’s legs gave out as she falls in the ground with a flushed face.

“Vampire princess…” the maid uttered those words still in dazed.

The woman called the vampire princess watched her maid in a satisfied manner.

She then picked her up whispered.

“It’s time..”

Her maid stood out straight as she heard her master’s orders. She put on a serious face but her face still had a trace of redness.

The vampire princess smiled and suddenly disappeared.

The festive atmosphere of the village was then replaced with the shouts of anguish as the village started burning.

PART 2

“Amazing~~”x2

“Shin onii-chan is so cool~”

The girls were beyond astonished after they witnessed Shin’s martial prowess.

Even Tanya’s eyes sparkled in amazement.

Although this wasn’t the first time that Yuffa and Tanya saw how Shin fights, the spectacle of him fighting still leaves them in awe.

And for someone to witness him fight for the first time, his movements were way too fast and way too powerful for some newbie adventurer.

Shin instructed the girl whom the party was just slaughtered to take a safe distance and hide from the trees. She didn’t expect that someone was there that it gave her a shock.

She wasn’t sure at first but now that she thinks about it, these two girls with her was the one that accompanied that infamous new recruit that created a scene at the guild headquarters.

The girl was part of that crowd that went silent after that relatively known man from the guild went flying from a side swing.

That scene did leave quite an impression on her.

And now, after witnessing a bit of that man’s true abilities..

Something just triggered a warm sensation deep in her heart.

The feeling of fright was replaced with excitement.

“Hey, hey, hey.. are you that mans’ wife?” The girl asked Yuffa curiously.

“Ehh??! W-w-wife?! N-n-no, we aren’t l-like that!”

Being asked suddenly with an unexpected question caused Yuffa to stutter as her face turn beet red.

“You don’t?”

“Y-yes! Shin-sama is just our master. We are indebted to him”

“Indebted?”

“Shin onii-chan saved us from the bad guys.” Tanya answered in behalf of Yuffa.

“Is that so?.... I’m relieved”

“? Relieved?”

“Huh? Oh. It’s nothing. Aha-ahaha”

“Huh~”

Clarisse lets out a forced laugh as she puts her hand behind her head while Yuffa only tilted her head.

“By the way I’m Clarisse Greenville, pleased to meet you!” the girl introduced herself.

“Oh. My name is Yuffa Strauss and this is Tanya. Pleased to meet you too.”

“Hello Clarisse-oneechan~”

“How cute~”

The girl named Clarisse was delighted with Tanya as she poked both of Tanya’s cheeks.

Meanwhile..

After the bear monster disappeared, Shin received the rewards for killing it.

He definitely raised 3 levels in an instant. His level is now 12.

I don’t know if the exp system covers a wide range of distribution regarding teammates away from the action. I should just ask Yuffa but in the mean time.

Shin wanted to confirm if the exp reached where Yuffa is but he has to check first the notification that popped up.

He swiped his finger to view the skill details.

Unique Passive: All elements unlocked. Dark Attribute now usable. Can use magic other than original magic. Mana Restoration increased.

Seriously?!

Before, Shin only uses his bare mana to enhance weapon efficiency and to increase power.

The result was already beyond newbie level but now, this skill he had learned would give him even more fighting capability.

His job before in the game only summons various weapons together with its skill but never had the option of embedding it with elements.

This version of him is way better than the intended job he had given.

Good job old man!

He thanked the old man that gave him this opportunity in his mind.

He also thought that summoning weapons and enhanced body is the entirety or the limits.

Now, he has another thing to look forward to.

Shin kept his excitement and casually walks to where the girls are.

Noticing Shin coming closer, Clarisse fixed herself up.

She brushed her hair and dusted off her dirty clothes as she greeted him.

“H-h-hello! T-thank you for saving me back there.”

Shin was thinking of something so he was quite surprise of Clarisse’s sudden greetings.

He stares at her for couple of seconds.

Oh.

He then placed his fist in his palm like he just remembered something.

“Don’t mention it.”

Noticing Shin’s reaction gave her quite a blow.

“Did you seriously just forget my existence??” she asked in a high tone.

Shin awkwardly looks away.

He can’t say that his excitement by his sudden growth in power made him forget everything that happened.

His action caused even more blow to Marianne so she just decided to keep quiet.

“By the way Yuffa, how’s your level? I’m not sure if the exp points reached this far. Can you check it for me?”

“Eh? Shin-sama, did you forget that my Guild card is in your care?”

Crap. How forgetful I can be that I forget even this important thing. I still haven’t got used to party system here, haven’t I? Shin said in his mind.

The party system here is completely different compared to the actual game where you just have to right click the character you want to party with and play.

Shin needs to straighten up.

“Hey “

Shin called the girl who has been silent for a while now.

She only looks at him with a pouting face.

“What’s with that face? Anyways, sorry about your companions”

“Oh they’re not my companions.”

Shin apologized sincerely but her reaction wasn’t the as he expected. He thought she would be heartbroken.

She continued.

“I was hunting here alone and happen to meet them. They found that rare monster deep in the woods marking its territories by scratching its claws to nearby trees. They only asked my assistance in exchange for a loot.”

“Is that so? Still it was very idiotic to underestimate it. That monster wasn’t labeled rare for nothing.”

“You’re right. I thought I was going to die at that time. Thank you again for saving me.”

She then smiled ear to ear but turns serious and added. “But how come I haven’t heard your name before? Surely with that kind of strength, you would be quite famous by now. You just started in the guild but you far outclassed that monster. Just who are you really?”

“It’s really nothing. More importantly, you haven’t told me your name. You are?”

Shin just casually brushed off her query. If possible, he wants to remain his anonymity. All personal or information about him must remain hidden.

Marianne frowned for a moment but decided to drop off the topic.

“Oh I’m sorry for the late introduction. My name is Clarisse Greenville. Pleased to meet you Taiyoun Shin”

“Hmm? How’d you know my name?”

“Yuffa-neesan told me your name”

“Is that so?” said Shin and added “Well then, see you around?”

“Bye bye Clarisse-neechan~”

“Bye Clarisse-chan”

After Shin replied and the girls bid their goodbyes, he then instructed Yuffa to get ready to leave.

The sky started to darken as dusk approaches. He then decided to call it a day.

As Shin, Yuffa and Tanya started walking off.

“Um!”

They turn around as Clarisse called them.

“Yes?” Shin asked.

“Um… mmm… Right! Um.. I know how to use a bow. And I’m quite proficient using it! And oh I’m level 12!”

“Huh?”

Shin only gave her a quizzical look because he was clueless to understand what she was trying to say.

“What are you trying to say?”

“That is… Ummm.. You know.. are you looking for a p-party member?”

Marianne asked shyly.

“I don’t know. Maybe? Why?”

“If you want.. P-Please let me join your party!”

“Ohh~”

Shin hasn’t thought about it before. But now that something like this came up suddenly, he wasn’t sure if he wants a new team member.

Yuffa and Tanya was a special case because of certain circumstances.

He pondered for a bit and looked at the girls unconsciously.

“Its Shin-sama’s decision. I think that it would be more fun having many people around. What about you Tanya?” Said Yuffa as brushes off Tanya’s hair.

“Un~!” answered Tanya energetically.

She must’ve liked Marianne even though she just met her.

“Alright.”

“Really??”

“Of course.”

“Yay~!”x2

Tanya also joined Clarisse cheering up.

“Thank you. I will be in your care. I will do my best!” said Marianne as she bows and showed a heartfelt smile.

Yuffa smiled watching Clarisse and Tanya getting along.

“Let’s go back to the city while the sun is still up.”

Said Shin as he started walking.

“Yes!”x3

The girls nodded and followed Shin as they walk along the stone-paved road.
