《Phantasmic Light》Chapter 0: Prologue

What happens when the government that promised to protect you oppresses you instead? The king who forces death onto his own people. The officials that represent the people use them as tools instead. I’m here to tell you that there is no other solution other than to purge that kind of government. There is no hope for reform once corruption has enveloped the core of what made the country strong.
Welcome to the Kingdom of Justitia. A land where a benevolent king once ruled over his subjects, and a place that it’s populace could safely call home. People were kind and enjoyed their lives. Not a trace of that place remains in this cold desolate country where the citizens are treated as either beggars or soldiers, there’s not much in between. The largest military power in the world was Justitia, and that was because at the age of 13 children would form a contract with a mythical beast that chose to bestow itself and its power upon that child. Nobody really knows exactly why 13 is the age that contracts are bestowed, its simply the way it has been. The real reason was lost to time.
The contract would be formed with a beast from the spirit realm, a place where all the beasts lived in with relative ease. There was little fighting and therefore little room for growth outside their original strength. If the child’s contract was deemed worthless, they would be forced into poverty, otherwise they were sent off for military training. The stronger the contracted beast the higher that child would go.
Other countries did have the contracted beasts, but the soldiers of Justitia were conditioned to live to fight. Even if it was for their homeland, soldiers would be easily be overwhelmed by those who disregard their lives and only survive on bloodshed.

A country that was once great and kind has been degraded by time. Now the only thing valued by this country is power and money. The greed of nobles and royalty knows no bound. I have nothing but disgust for these types of people.
The way Justitia controlled the masses was through religion and strength. The government preached the power of the royal family, who were blessed by the gods with the power of light. Whether the gods actually condoned this kind of behavior with the treatment of the citizens that are suppose to be protected is beyond my comprehension. I don’t care about the gods if they support this way of life. I, Noctis Lucifer, will destroy the fabrics of this world to bring about a new era. If an army stands in my way, I will cut them down. If the king stands in my way I will kill the king. If the gods stand in my way, I will bring about the fall of heaven.

Return of the Woodcutter
Aito Walker was a self-proclaimed martial artist, a criminal, a broken man, and a fishing slave who later became a woodcutter before dying due to his heavy consumption of alcohol. With thousands of other humans, he is forcefully revived into a boundless grey space by the gods of a foreign world, Iris, to take part in a never-ending war waged against Fearmongers. A race capable of corrupting living beings and inducing fear, even the bravest of warriors cannot resist—when the Fearmongers do not kill them, that is.To bait humans into this conflict, the gods offer the mortals powers in exchange of eternal servitude and the completion of trials before finally entering Iris.Even though Aito doesn’t agree with it, he sees in Iris a chance to atone for his past misdeeds, in this fantasy world of swords and magic filled with many races, where everything seems possible. He will pave his own path despite the gods he despises trying to manipulate him into doing their bidding.Aito will start with almost nothing but his wit, a peculiar system, and increased strength—much like other revived humans.Bearing a sin—he could not, cannot, and will not forget—haunting him to this day, Aito will strive to regain what little honor he has left.He will suffer and, at times, fail. Taking advantage of his weaknesses, the Fearmongers, demigods, gods, and many others will hinder his path. But a powerful yearning will keep him from falling apart. An ever-burning flame melting away the despair and welding back the broken pieces of courage.A single desire.«I will find redemption no matter the cost.»………Or not, hun, who knows? The book isn’t done yet. Haha—SLAP!«Who put this guy in the synopsis narration?! Get him out of here and launch the warnings! Now!»***WARNINGS:— The MC is human. If you’re looking for a perfect MC, you’ll only be wasting your time here. However, if you’re looking for an MC who will LEARN, GROW because of his flaws. An MC who will try his hardest to overcome adversity, then you’re in the right place.— No harems. However, it doesn’t mean the characters can’t fool around without having love interests. A relationship isn’t necessary for people to satisfy their physical desires.— You will find a few typos, grammatical and wording issues, that’s certain. I’ll do my best to bring you guys quality content and such issues will either be nonexistent or extremely few. However, one man can only do so much. If I get enough support, I’ll hire an EDITOR that will look at the chaps with a fresh eye. And POOF! Issues no more. Improved quality. Happier author and reader. Not sure if the editor will be happy tho.— The first three chapters are fast-paced as to quickly get into the nitty-gritty but slow down afterward to give the story the time it needs to progress accordingly.— The book can, never mind, it will contain «strong» language, gore and violence.— Comedy, as you know it (and if you don’t, now you know) is subjective. So you might not like the jokes.— If you truly read that until the end you have my virtual congratulations ‘cause I sure as hell wouldn’t have done that.

Necromancer and Co.
In a time before the existence of the present, the gods decided to create a plane of existence where all their creations could exist in the same place. In it, all would be fair, and all gaps between races and technological advancements could be crossed with a single system that the gods had created. Every year, the gods would choose a new race to put in their land, and in this new group of beautifully unlucky people, Alen, his friends, and a few people from Earth have finally met their turn to be tossed into the playground of the gods. Unfortunately though, Alen was thrust into a forest of corpse-eating bears and horribly smelly undead on his first day, one of the many danger-zones of the continent the gods had chosen to throw them in. It would be easy to say that he simply died within the first day, or that he'd starved to death or whatever, but let's be honest... That story would be no fun to tell, yes? (Re-write of my first fiction with the same name.)

Enter Darkness
"Here in the mountain we train those who will one day take our places. We do the jobs others find impossible. Our clients are ever different. We never turn down a job, and we never fail. I hope you take my words to heart. I would hate to kill you myself one day. Now listen carefully." As Master Thrass spoke I listened. He told me that the process was fairly simple but very dangerous as well. This is after all Black Hive Mountain. Home of the greatest Assassins in the world.

Totally Not a Chosen Hero
Jesse's life just started to get great. He bought a comfy apartment, received an offer for a six-figure job, and scored a date with the girl of his dreams. But then, parallel world wizards magically kidnapped Jesse alongside a dozen of strangers. Has no one taught them consent?! The emperor and his confidants told Jesse and other earthlings that they were the Chosen Heroes and a bright future awaited them. Bullshit. That they just needed to learn magical combat at the academy, and then defeating Dark Lords would be easy-peasy. Oh yeah? That as long as they completed their sacred duty, they could choose to return to Earth or continue living on Aethelrend as kings and queens. No thanks. While other so-called Heroes were easily tricked by empty promises of power, riches, and even immortality, Jesse knew better than to believe his kidnappers. He was getting the hell out.

Monster? So be it,
Generic Monster Isekai story. Guy dies, meets a god, the entity says that he is willing to reincarnate him to a new world as a new creature, etc etc. The protagonist is an established serial killer on his past life so I'll probably make a grimdark setting or something. Idk
