《Death Incarnate (Completed)》Chapter 19: A Real Vacation This Time

Most of Deco Parade loitered around, while some with sentience sight-see and indulged in food and drink. After a few days, they head over to the drawven country, Hukor Mountains. Give them two options: surrender or fight?
Then they planned to head over to Vita Empire. With an extra mission to destroy the holy city and demolish the churches of life.
***
Kei was hanging with his female companions in the dining room for lunch. Most of the elves' diet were a variety of fruits and soup. It leaves the meaty of eaters less satisfied.
"So, we're not having a vacation here no more?" Asked Polin.
"There's a better place to have vacation than this place. This one has beaches and natural hot springs. The Islands of Kitar should be our next vacation spot."
Jacklin jumped up in excitement! "I always wanted to go there! But it was sooo expensive to reach there!"
"The weather of the main island is always tropical while the four other islands were different. I heard one of the smaller islands is constantly winter. That should be where the fox girl resides from."
Then Polin jumped in excitement: "I wanna see Kirin again!"
Kei saw the excitement on their faces, except for Vetros. Her face was expressionless most of the time and goes with the flow.
With the help witches and valkyries, their transportation was less of an obstacle. After several days with breaks and over the sea, they saw white, sandy beaches.
They landed on the beach.
Kei and crew looked around and yep, it's the beach. But... they didn't own any swimsuits nor had a place to stay.
Kei flew in the air and searched the area, and there's a town a few miles down south.
The group began walking while taking off their thicker clothings such as sweaters and long sleeve shirts. They dressed something more appropriately.

Kei summoned smaller golems to be their pack mule for the trip.

Once the group arrived at the town, they were unexpectedly surprised. The town was a wreck, burned down homes, shattered windows, and few rotten bodies.
"Oh yeah... This country and Cloq Dukedom had a war. I wondered how that ended?" Kei said after witnessing the state of the town.
The group wondered around to see any place to rest. They walked through street after street and they were people of many ages in dirty clothes and were skinny. They ignored the townspeople as best as possible.
The group then found a empty, battered restaurant. Kei clapped his hands and said: "Let's have some lunch."
Kei was thankful that the kitchen was still able to maintain itself. He began playing around with the stove and searched kitchen wares.
The others tried to find a table that wasn't broken and picked up any usuable chairs. In a short amount of time, they setup a nice table to eat and the food was done. Grilled meat and vegetables, fried fish, and potato salad to be served.
The smell of food attracted unwanted attention. There was even a naked beastman with a worn-out sword. Luckily, the golems were just enough to intimidate him.
Kei only told the golems to stay on guard at the door, but a small child climbed over a broken window. Which resulted in cuts the child's arms and feet. The child ignored it and continue sniffing the air like a dog. Actually, this little beastman had those big floppy dog ears. She slowly followed the scent with her eyes closed and then bumped into someone.
That someone was Kei.
The little beastman finally opened her eyes and saw of a group of strangers she never seen before. She didn't know who they were and only stared at the food on the table.

"She's so cute!" Polin declared. Well, the child was only 3ft tall, wounds on her limbs, and wearing an oversize shirt. But she had a cute face, ears, and tail.
"Feed her?" Vetros questioned. Kei thought for a bit and didn't see why not. Kei then made a seperate plate of different food from the table and handed over to the little girl. She snatched the plate and ran towards a corner and began munching on her food with her bare hands.
"Can we keep her?" Polin asked. Polin received a karate chop on the head by Jacklin.
"She's not a pet." Jacklin also wanted to help the girl out aside from giving her food. But, would she also feed the whole town? No. Jacklin set her eyes on the little girl with pity. I really can't do much. Unless Kei decided to help but I doubt it. You can only live with your misfortunes and take what you can.
***
The group decided to sleep outdoors, away from the town. Sleeping bags, tents, and a campfire was all set. Dinner was served.
But the smell, once again attracted unwanted attention.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.
