Different from the first time, this time Aleen appeared inside the game directly from the portal.
Shaking his head, Aleen tried to eliminate the dizzy feeling from traveling through the dimensional portal when he heard an ice-cold voice.
“You are here, boy.”
“Miss D’vina.” Aleen greeted her while smiling slightly.
“Come with me.” She said while furrowing her brows. “And don’t call me miss, I don't like it. D’vina is enough.”
“O-Okay.”
Aleen observed the surroundings while walking with D’vina. As in the last game, the place appearance was not very earth-like; instead, the surroundings were filled with strange plants. The plants, trees and even the grass was reddish, and their forms reminded Aleen of some movies he saw in his childhood.
It did not take long for the pair to see a village-like settlement where the remaining participants were waiting.
Immediately, Aleen noticed something different from last game. Of the four people, only two were human, a pair of women. The other two were obviously non-human.
“You are here.” The first human spoke, a woman wearing a white robe and with a mask covering part of her face. “We can begin with the introductions then. I’m Caira, a human mage; and this is my assistant, Elvila, a level three elf.” Signaled her to the other woman. Aleen immediately noticed her pointed ears and understood that she was not human.

Following her, the second member introduced himself with a growling voice.
“I’m Wulf, a wolfkin.”
Aleen only could describe Wulf like a big talking wolf. He was at least two meters tall and was wearing a savage-looking armor in his body. Aleen noticed that he was bending his back a bit but he abstained of asking the reason.
“My name is Cir, a kinal.” The third main member said with a muffled voice. Different from Wulf, he was humanoid in appearance with the exception of his gray skin and the gas mask he was wearing. Aleen guessed that the man was unable to breathe oxygen.
“My name is D’vina, and he is my assistant, Aleen, a level two.” D’vina finally said.
The human woman furrowed her brows when she heard Aleen’s level. It was not normal to have a level two as assistant, so she found it strange. But in the end, she abstained of asking.
“Now that we are done with the introductions, let’s begin.” The human woman spoke before turning to the elf “Elvila, go and bring the cannon fodder here. They can be a bit useful in this kind of game.”
When Aleen heard it, he immediately understood that the woman was speaking about the humans that were abducted. He was about to ask to go with the woman, but D’vina stopped him. Before he could ask the reason, he heard an ice-cold voice in his mind.
“Stay put. As my assistant, you must follow my orders. I don’t remember telling you to go with her.”
Aleen tried to refute, but a glare from D’vina shut him up. He knew that she was right, but he could not help but want to see the other humans.
Aleen understood the cruelty of this place; and because of this, he knew that most of those people were going to be killed. And though he could not save them, Aleen thought that at least he could help them by explaining the situation.
D’vina obviously did not care about it. Different from Aleen, she was accustomed to seeing people die. Though she could understand Aleen thoughts, she could not allow him to do everything he wants. This was a dead game, and you could only depend on yourself if you wanted to survive.

“According to the rules, the one with the biggest score has the right to be the leader. As the one with it, I will take the role.” The mage woman said while looking to the rest of the team. When she saw that nobody had an objection, she continued.
“Let me explain the situation. This game is a raid and the goal is to destroy a nest of monsters. We can deduce of it that the monster leader is a level five and it’s probably surrounded by monsters of a lesser level. Besides it, we know that the level five monsters in the game are not suppressed unlike us, so we are probably not its match in a one to one.
“As the winning conditions are ‘exterminate’ we probably need to kill each monster in the nest, so the best strategy is to separate and kill the monsters while we search the nest. If someone finds the nest, that person will inform the location through the team’s COM. Any opinion?”
“Wolfkins have a great sense of smell, so I can find the enemies more easily. I think that it’s better if you follow me while I follow the monsters smell until the nest.” Wulf said.
Caira hesitated slightly before shaking her head. “I don’t think it's good. Even if you can follow the smell until the nest, some monsters probably are outside searching for food. It will take longer to hunt each monster if everybody moves together.”
The wolf nodded slightly. “You are right. Then I will try to find the nest while you kill the monsters in the surroundings, what do you think?”
This time, everybody nodded.
While they were speaking, the elf returned with the group of level one with a frown on her face. Aleen noticed that though most of them were humans, some wolfkins and kinals were between them.
At the same time, Aleen saw that, though the humans were visibly nervous and scared at the point of breakdown, the levels one of the other races seemed prepared for this situation.
“You are back, Elvila. What happened? Why are you frowning?”
“The pawns of this time are of very bad quality. Most of them didn’t know why they are here. Look, the administration even sent a fat guy among them.” The elf replied visibly displeased. Aleen wanted to speak, but a look of D’vina shut him up.
“Damn it! Could it be that we got the useless batch?” Caira said with an expression of wrath.
“The useless batch?” Aleen asked instinctively. D’vina frowned visibly, but at the end did not say anything.
“You don’t know?” The elf girl asked. “Apparently some teams received a group of useless humans as pawns lately. It was reported to the administration of the game as unjust conditions, but they were ignored.”
“It sometimes happens when a new dimension is discovered.” Cir spoke with a muffled voice. "But I heard this time is the worst case in a few years.”
Aleen was going to refute their words when a hand pressed his shoulder.
“Enough.” D’vina said coldly. “That did not concern you.”
“But–”
“I said enough!”
Aleen immediately closed his mouth. He knew that she was right and it was not a good idea to defend the humans. But in the end, he also was a human from the same planet. He could not stomach hearing them speaking badly about its race.
Aleen tightened his fists and lowered his head. The others noticed the situation, but they did not pay it much attention.
Finally, a visibly displeased Caira pointed towards the level one and spoke.
“We will have to do with them. Each one will take twenty five and go.”
