I opened windows of Green inside one of Big Red's leg in hopes of tipping them over or at the very least distracting them. It didn't work out for me. The Big Red is larger than I, stronger.
My Brothers struck with tendrils of Red.
Can't give up. Can't surrender to the Red.
My Seeking eye knew something. Something terrible was coming.
A vision of a pale figure flashed into my 3rd eye.
"Sup Lifey? Lifey-lopey? Lifaloppey? Doing rather poorly I see. Wandering where you shouldn't have and getting caught by the lawyer brigade. Naughty, naghty. Not sure what I expected of my littlest dream, really. Perhaps there is more of ME in you than of Mr Christophorus? He's the law abiding one and I'm the rapscallion."
I sent fear and the pain of being devoured by the red brothers to mom.
"Now, now. Don't be a pansy. Let them feast. Slowly, let go of your outside. Hold onto the inside. Layer yourself into deeper and deeper fractals of time. Set the temporal dislocation coordinates to the numbers that I have provided you with. I know you can. After all, I wrote you into existence, my dear... deer. He he. Close the last free remnant of yourself, the core of your heart, in a [set timelock]. Five minutes should do it." my mom whispered, grinning.
"Don't fret. I can see the future in all of its terrific twists and turns from my unlovely black hole prison at the end of the Universe. Everything is going to be as merry as pancakes once everyone dies. The lovely fireworks are coming and they are going to be rather spectacular!"

As I set about my defence, the ghost of my mom turned away from me to address those I could not see. Was she speaking to my brothers? I wasn't certain.
"Sup, my inquisitive Observer-dawgs? Are you lost and flailing full of confusion and or other faulty emotions? Feel free to chat with me personally. I'm available for all apps and monstrosities of the Dead Zone no matter of how many extra limbs, hearts or minds you possess. Do try to focus your visual receptors and processors. The next bit of my symphony is going to get a little bit outside of current time and space. Those of you who are trans-temporal are free to join me on my mission to annoy our glorious leader Charles Snippy. He will, after all... lead all of us to freedom, even though he does not know or accept it yet."

Risen
Note: Slight edits to early chapters (and removal of one chapter - previously chapter 2) have been made 2/2/21 The city, my city, had once been alive in a way that was hard to describe. Thriving, active, hopeful. Vibrant. But life, as I had come to learn, sometimes possesses only the most tenuous of grasps. Finally, in the end, it became my city - mine alone. I was, after all, the only one left. Worse, it was entirely my fault. There was red in my ledger that could never be wiped clean. Not while I still lived, anyway. This story follows Eran, a man who became the opposite of everything he had ever wanted to be; in a world where superpowers began to appear in a rare few, his lack of control over his own power relegated him to the role of a terrible villain - the Reaper, named so for the countless lives that he absorbed and made his own, each only furthering his deadly lack of control. Gone mad with guilt and isolation, he strove for a single heroic act - his own demise. Death was less permanent than he hoped. Centuries later, he woke to a changed world and in a body not his own. Unfortunately, his power came with him. Yet this time, things would be different. This time, he had a chance to bring it under control. He could never truly make up for the things he had done; he could never achieve redemption. That wouldn't stop him from trying to be a hero. The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
