“I see that you still haven’t learned your lesson.”

Eis waved his hand and a giant ice spear appeared beside him.

“Then let me guide you!”

He swung his hand and the ice spear shot towards them. Amelia lifted her hand in front of her and stopped the spear.

“Huh?”

This caught Eis off guard.

“You’re not the only one who can manipulate ice.”

Amelia said.

The spear suddenly turned into vapor.

“My turn!”

She stomped the ground and it started to move like it was alive. Waves of earth rushed towards Eis.

Eis slammed his hands together and a cold wind blew over the area and the waves of earth unbelievably froze.

“Oh!”

He stretched both hands to the side and formed two giant ice swords. He leaped into the air and swung them down onto Amelia and Reina.

*Bam!*

The earth trembled when those giant swords slammed down.

“Hm?”

He turned to his side and saw Reina attacking him with a punch. He thrust his hand towards her and a giant iceberg shot at her.

“Wha?!”

*Bam!*

The iceberg slammed into her and forced her into the ground.

*Rumble!* *Bam!*

Suddenly a lightning bolt fell from the sky and hit him. Amelia appeared floating above him with electricity dancing around her. She looked and saw an ice orb protecting Eis.

“Tsk!”

She clicked her tongue and started throwing thunderbolts towards Eis.

“Heh.”

Eis smiled and lifted his hand above him, while Amelia’s bolts failed to penetrate the ice orb.

“Huh?”

Amelia noticed that she was surrounded by vortexes of cold air.

“Shit!”

Suddenly the vortexes started firing ice bullets at her. She quickly deployed a fire barrier around her.

“?!”

However, her fire barrier actually started freezing. She tried to increase the power of her flames, but it was no use. The more the ice bullets hit her flame barrier, the faster her flames started to freeze.

“As I thought, his ice manipulation is monster-like. Not even my flames created using my animus can stop him.”

The temperature around her started to fall drastically, as the ice approached her.

*Bam!*

That’s when the iceberg that Reina was forced under, suddenly exploded. From it, came a giant hand made of Wild Anima. The hand turned into a claw and slashed at Eis’s ice orb.

*Bam!*

The ice orb shattered and Eis was slapped into the ground. Another giant hand appeared, formed a fist, and forced him further into the ground with a punch.

The vortexes around Amelia disappeared and she was saved from being frozen alive.

“You alive, Stupid Cat?”

Amelia looked down and saw Reina on the ground surrounded by raging Wild Anima.

“I was fine. I didn’t need your help, lizard.”

She snapped back and made her flames reignite.

“Is that so? For a second, I thought you were about to become a popsicle. My bad.”

Reina replied with clear sarcasm.

“Hm?”

That’s when the ground started trembling.

*BOOM!*

The ground under Reina burst open and a giant ice sword burst out. She jumped to avoid it, but the sword was too huge and too fast to avoid. She had to form a barrier around her and took the sword head on.

“Ugh!”

The sword lifted her in the air so fast that Amelia was barely able to react to her passing by her and being forced up into the sky.

Amelia looked up and saw a giant ice pillar falling towards Reina, who was on the top of the sword.

“Get out of there!”

She shouted at Reina. However, Reina wasn’t able to move fast enough to heed her warning.

*BOOM!*

The ice pillar and the sword clashed with Reina caught up between them. They both broke apart and caused car size lumps of ice to fell towards the earth.

“I was just trying to set you two on the right path, and you repay my kindness with malicious intents?”

Amelia looked down and saw Eis looking up at her. He was covered with wounds, and was bleeding all over. His white clothes was a mess, and he had a frown on his face.

“Since you two want to be like that, I’ll do things the hard way.”

He formed a sword in his hand and leaped into the air. In an instant, he was rushing towards Amelia swinging his sword.

“Bring it!”

Amelia formed a flame sword in her hand and met his charge.

*Bam!*

The swords clashed and fire and ice started dancing around them.

“I didn’t know you could actually fight with your own hands, rather than relying on your powers.”

Amelia said.

“It’s just that you two weren’t worth me fighting seriously.”

Eis replied.

“Oh, really?!”

The two parted and rushed towards each other again.

*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*

They clashed with their swords while maneuvering around in the air. Amelia used wind to fly around, while Eis froze the water vapor in the air to make footing for him to move around with.

Amelia slashed at his side, which he blocked by lowering his sword. He then forced her sword back and thrust his sword at her windpipe. Amelia used her flame sword to parry it, while taking a step towards him.

She aimed a knee strike at his midsection, but he blocked it with his own knee. She didn’t let that stop her and swung her sword at his pivot leg.

*Bam!*

The sword hit a thick sheet of ice that appeared out of nowhere protected Eis’s leg. She was then hit with an uppercut, and had to back off. Eis then pounced at her while thrusting his sword at her face. Amelia quickly moved back and avoided the sword by a few inches.

“This guy is better at close combat than I thought.”

She muttered to herself.

“I see.”

Eis then chased after her and spoke as if he understood something.

“I’ve figured out the full extent of your strength.”

He nodded and said.

“You’re far inferior to me.”

He pointed at her.

“You didn’t even realize that I had already cut you.”

“What are you…?”

Amelia looked at her body and was shocked. Her right shoulder had a deep wound in it, and the blood that should’ve sprayed from it was frozen solid.

“When did….”

She was suddenly assaulted by pain in the shoulder.

“When we fought just now, I used my full strength for a moment and that’s the result.”

Eis said.

“I didn’t even notice…”

Amelia muttered.

“Oh.”

Eis suddenly swung his sword above him. Blood sprayed and Reina appeared above him. He reached out with his other hand and grabbed her by her throat.

“It’s not that I couldn’t sense you, it’s just that you weren’t that much of a threat.”

Frost started appearing on Reina’s body while she was being held by Eis.

“Ah!”

Reina swung her hand that turned into an iron claw and slashed Eis. She cut him across the face.

“Ugh?!”

He released her and held his face.

“That arrogance will be your downfa-”

*Bam!*

“Guh?!”

Reina was unable to finishing speaking before letting out a agonizing groan. That was because an icicle was thrust through her stomach before she could react.

“Reina?!”

Amelia shouted.

“Insolent!”

Eis gripped his sword and cut Reina across the chest with his sword. Blood sprouted out of the long wound, but was instantly frozen.

Reina fell from the sky and crashed into the ground. Amelia wanted to chase after her, but Eis obstructed her path.

“I’m fed up of the two of you.”

He thrust his sword towards her. Amelia quickly deployed the rainbow colored barrier used to block powerful attacks.

*Bam!*

The barrier stopped Eis attack.

“?!”

However, the barrier soon started freezing.

*Shatter!*

The barrier suddenly broke like glass, and Eis sword stabbed into Amelia. Her body started to stiffen and frost covered her body. Her eyes became dull as well.

“Take it with you.”

Eis released his sword and Amelia fell from the sky with it still inside her.

*Bam!*

She hit the ground like she was a statue. Her skin became paler and more frost covered her body.

“Beg the Sacred God for forgiveness when you reach the other side.”

Eis looked down on the two and said with a cold tone. Neither of them showed any signs of movement or life. They were frozen with the same expression on their faces.

Eis gave them one last look of contempt and turned away from them.

“Now to help out the others like father ordered me to.”

He looked at the other battles that was going on and noticed that all the Aficionado members were in disadvantageous situations despite they being in their sacrament forms. This was because their opponents were fighting without care for their lives, and were literally doing everything they could to kill their enemies.

Harut was having a hard time contesting with Xavier’s iron giant form and had to be on the defensive. Marut was being overwhelmed by the desperate and insane actions of Liam and the others. While Eleleth couldn’t get a grasp on Christi, and was being preyed on by someone weaker than her.

“I’ll help them right away.”

Eis said and was about to move away.

“?!”

But just as he was about to do that, a chill crawl up his spine. This was odd considering that his body was designed to be like ice itself. That meant that he wasn’t cold, and that something else caused the chill.

He quickly realized that it was something else. He turned around and looked at the two, who should be dying. He looked and saw that the both of them were surrounded by an incredibly beastly Anima.

He soon saw the two come to life. They both slowly stood up. Amelia removed the ice sword that was in her stomach, while Reina removed the icicle that was in hers. They both threw them to the ground. Soon, the frozen blood from the large wounds on their bodies thawed and blood started pouring from them.

When Eis saw that, he was shocked because it indicated that they were able to counter the freezing effect of his powers.

“……..”

Amelia and Reina silently stood there with their hair messy and covering their faces. The two rubbed their bloody wounds with their hands as if examining them. Eis could then see them frowning.

Their frown soon turned into a scrawl.

“Say, Lizard. This bastard really messed us up, didn’t he?”

Amelia suddenly asked Reina.

“Yeah, he really did.”

Reina replied.

“How do you think we should repay him?”

“Isn’t that obvious?”

The two then used their bloody hands to sweep their hair back and fully reveal their face.

“?!”

Eis was frightened when he saw their faces. There was some whiskers like markings on Amelia’s face; while under Reina’s eyes there were two markings that ran from the edge of her eyes down to her jaw bones, like it was showing the path of two tears.

Yet, these changes weren’t what frightened Eis. Despite there not being any other physical changes other the markings, he just couldn’t recognize their faces of the two as humans. He felt like he was looking at the faces of two apex predators.

“What should we do to him? Isn’t that obvious?”

The two predators showed angry smiles which matched the savage look in their eyes, and spoke in unison.

“We tear him apart, that’s what!”

Eis created two swords and took an attacking stance on reflex when he heard that. He didn’t know why, but he felt like his life was in serious danger.

The two seemed amused by his reaction and shot forward at the same time. Eis clenched his swords and rushed towards him.

“Die!”

Amelia’s fingernails turned into claws, and she used them to slash at him. Eis blocked it with his swords, and realized that her attacks suddenly became heavier.

“!”

He turned to the side and saw that Reina was attacking him from the side. He jumped over her attack and stomped the air.

*Bam!*

A block of ice rushed to crush her head. Reina punched it and destroyed it with ease, and then destroyed the ice spears that was shot towards her under the camouflage of the ice block.

*Bam!*

Eis was attacked from the side by Amelia, who he blocked with a wall of ice.

“Stop hiding and come die!”

Amelia roared and shattered the thick wall with a punch. She rushed towards him and slashed her claws again. He blocked her but, she twisted her body and kicked him on the side of the head.

“Ugh!”

He was forced to the side a few meters. He then sensed someone behind him and turned around with a slash.

His sword hit air, causing him to look down.

*Bam!*

Reina, who stooped down jumped and headbutt him under the chin. He sent her flying with a punch to the chest.

“Rah!”

*Bam!*

Amelia kicked him from behind and hit him with an uppercut when he turned around. The uppercut forced him into the air a few meters.

*Swoosh!*

That’s when he saw something appeared above him. It was Reina.

*Bam!*

She stomped him out of the air and into the ground.

*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*

She started to jump on his chest like it was a trampoline, while laughing. A giant hand made of ice soon slapped her away.

“?!”

Eis had to suddenly roll for his life, and avoided Amelia trying to smash his head in with a punch. The ground cracked up when her fist hit the spot he was moments ago.

He stood up only to get kicked away by Reina.

“Ugh!”

He twisted his body in the air and landed on his feet. The moment he did, he saw Amelia and Reina attacking him from the sides. He had to desperately leap back to avoid their punches. The two then immediately change directions and chased after him.

Eis desperately swung his swords to fend the two off. He formed two ice cannons behind him and made them blow the two away. Only then he finally got some breathing space.

He looked at the two who laid on the ground and trembled. Instead of humans, it felt like he was being hunted by two wild animals.

Unsurprisingly, he saw the two get up again. He backed away when he saw the savage look in their eyes. For a moment he thought he saw the images of a sunset colored tiger and a giant white and red reptile.

“Just what the hell are they?”

He asked himself.

He then saw the two disappeared from where they stood.

“?!”

In an instant he was cornered from the two attacking him from two different directions. His body moved before his mind could, and he jumped and twisted like roller in the air. The two attacking him past him from above and below.

When his feet touched the ground, he tried to attack them from behind by making his swords extend and thrust towards their necks.

“?!”

But unbelievably, the two avoided the attacks by leaping into the air with a backflip, and past over him. They landed at his side and clenched their fists.

“Shit!”

Eis erected two thick walls of ice in desperation.

*Bam!*

The girls threw their strongest punches and slammed them against the walls.

*Bam!*

The walls instantly crumbled in front of their hammer like fists. When Eis saw that, he could see the two fists slowly advance towards him, however the fists were like like two meteorites and struck bone deep fear in him. He couldn’t move no matter how much he tried.

At death’s door he asked himself once more-

“Just what the hell are these two?”

*BOOM!*

The fists hit Eis’s face from two different directions causing the power behind them to clash and explode. His head burst into pieces and the girls’s fists collided.

His headless body fell lifelessly to the floor, announcing his death and defeat.

“Oh, that kid from the Ultimate Believer project actually lost? That’s pretty surprising.”

About a couple hundred meters away, someone was watching the battle between Amelia and Reina versus Eis. This person was the leader of this crusade, Dumah, who was supposed to be captured by Serket.

“Harut and others are having trouble as well? This is a unexpected turn of events.”

He folded his arms and said.

“I know it took longer than expected to escape, but I didn’t see this coming at all.”

He then started to walk towards the battlefield.

“I guess I should get to work.”
