Hello everyone. Thanks for reading. I'm Mike Dukk, a guy that loves to write about fantasy, science fiction, magical realism, and whatever other ideas pop into my head. I've decided to post my latest novel idea here in a different format in hopes of accomplishing all of the following:

-Entertaining you the reader. That's always my goal. I strive to better myself so the things I write elicit emotion from those that choose to read my work.

-Getting my name out there. It's hard to make a name for yourself as an author. A friend of mine directed me to this site, and I decided to post some of my rougher drafts of my latest Dark Fantasy Series, which I've labeled, "The Vengeance of the Wind". It's by far the darkest thing I've written, and I believe this fantasy world I'm creating has a lot of depth and possibilities for some great stories. I've got at least this trilogy planned in this world. The content of the first book is mostly written, only in a very rough draft I wouldn't dare share until I've improved it. Right now I plan to post the entire first novel here, possibly all three depending on how it works out. This is a new experience for me.

-Looking for productive feedback. I used to be in a writer's group, but I felt like I outgrew it. By posting on this site, I'm looking for productive feedback that can help me improve my future drafts, one of which I will eventually publish.

-I'm hoping some of the readers here will find my work enjoyable enough to purchase my existing books, which are currently for sale on amazon.com. Search for "Mike Dukk" and they'll show up. Since posting here I think some people have picked them up and read them. Thank you to those that have.
