“I’ve been tricked!”

I yelled as I logged in to the new game I bought.

Unbeknownst to me, I’d accidentally bought one of those otome games that my little sister loves playing so much.

Maybe I should have guessed from the title ‘Love Love Medieval Magic School Fantasy’…

Scratch that, I definitely should have guessed.

I honestly didn’t even make note of the title until just now though. I was blinded by how cute the posters for the heroines were.

At least I thought they were the heroines…

Turns out, one of them was a capturable male character…

It doesn’t matter if they’re cute? Screw that! I’m not a homo!

The other was the game’s villain character…

I approached my sister, game in hand.

“Oi, Ino. I accidentally bought this game. Do you want it?”

“Huh? Ooooh! Love love Medieval Magic School Fantasy!! That’s a great game you know? I already have it though. You should totally play it yourself bro!”

“What? Why would I want to play this girly game by myself?”

“I don’t know. Why did you buy it?”

“…..I was blinded by the cuteness of the villain and this male character”

I pointed them out on the box.

My sister makes an incredulous expression.

“…Are you a homo, bro?”

“No! Definitely not! It doesn’t even look like a guy right?”

“Ew, you’re not one of those ‘It doesn’t matter if they’re cute?’ perverts right?”

“No! Ino! No way! There was also this villain character right? I’m definitely not a homo or anything!”

Ino’s expression turned to scorn.

“Not her! She’s the worst!”

“Huh? What did she do?”

“She was always getting in my way! Every time I had a love event with the Prince she would always sabotage me. She started bullying me and harassing me too! She was being so obnoxious, she was all over the Prince!”

“Why was she all over the Prince?”

“Because she was like scarily in love with him!”

“What? And the Prince didn’t return her feelings?”

“I mean they were engaged…But he was always badmouthing her and running away!”

“Aren’t you the bitch for coming in between an engaged couple?”

“Hah?! You have to play the game now bro! You don’t understand a maiden’s heart!”

That made me depressed…

So here I am now….playing ‘Love love medieval magic school fantasy’…

What am I doing…

A couple hours later and I’m surprisingly engrossed in the story.

“Hah? Isn’t the Prince engaged? Why did he agree to go on a date with me? What an asshole!”

“All he’s doing is complaining about how his fiancé loves him! Riajuu explode! Asshole!”

“Oh! Yes! The emergence of the guy I thought was a girl and he’s talking sense! He’s actually admonishing the Prince’s behavior! You go Akiho! You tell him!”

“Oh! The fiancé is finally confronting this heroine bitch! Wait what? All she did was push me a little and cry about not stealing her love? You need to push a bit harder fiancé-chan! This bitch isn’t hearing you!”

“Wait what? The heroine now has a monologue about being unfairly harassed? What?! She’s trying to steal another woman’s fiancé and the harassment has been to the extent of trying to keep her and the prince separated and giving her stern words every now and again. Screw off heroine bitch!”

“Are you serious? Now the douche harem that the heroine has collected is persecuting the fiancé! The Prince says that he’s going to cancel the engagement and destroy her house!! That seems like overkill! Now he proposed to the heroine in front of the fiancé! What?! This guy needs to seriously die.”

I went to bed angry.

Seriously. That fiancé was great. She was cute, smart, refined and above all she loved the Prince with all her heart. The heroine on the other hand was selfish, naive and stupid.

That Prince was the worst of all though. Seriously, if I were him things would have gone very differently…
