《Evolution God》19: Centre Of The Battlefield

After flying for 6 continuous hours, Lucifer had finally seemed to enter somewhere with somewhat stronger humans and beasts. More of them was in the middle of the Lord rank (20000-25000 TB) and few were in the peak of Lord rank. Most of them were ignored by Lucifer, as he didn't mind about them as long as they didn't attack him without reason.
As soon as Lucifer was spotted up in the air, it was as if a path was formed by everyone as they had all heard the rumours about that terrifying and beautiful dragon, that left nothing but death in its path. Wherever he flew, a path would open up down on the ground to try and avoid the whirlwinds and tornadoes created when he flapped his wings. Some of those that were unlucky, didn't get enough time to move and were instantly sucked into a tornado, being torn into pieces as if they weren't anything special.
Lucifer kept flying forward in search of the portal that he had seen in his dream, as he felt it contained some kind of important secret that could somehow help him. It was as if he knew that it would worth it to look around for it.
As Lucifer had flown for another 5 hours, the ground underwent a change. It was still filled with blood and corpses, but it had enormous cracks filled with lava, that spewed up everywhere. It was as if thousands of volcanos had been placed in one spot to make the place completely uninhabitable. The light emitted from the lava The natural energy in the air was much denser, which was probably the cause of the thousands of mid-stage Lord ranks, and hundreds of peak-stage Lord ranks. The energy was so dense that Lucifer couldn't help but feel shocked, as he had never experienced such a feeling before. It felt as if he had entered a whole new realm, where natural energy was everywhere in an unlimited amount.

Feeling excited that he could find strong bloodlines and skills, Lucifer immediately began to check the humans and beasts still standing alive.

________________
Already one of the first ones Lucifer used Observation on, had a lot of skills that mildly interested Lucifer. Especially the passive skill 'Automatic Mana Recovery', since Lucifer only had skills that regenerated his body. The unique skill also seemed like something that Lucifer could use, but he wasn't sure about it, as he didn't know what it did. Looking at the skills, it seemed as if 'Edward' was good with the fire attribute, as he had a lot of skills related to that.
As quick as lightning, Lucifer landed on the ground, creating enormous cracks and thrust his tail towards Edward who was looking at Lucifer with wary and awe. But before he could even react, he had already been pierced through by Lucifer's tail, that lifted him into the air to hang him and bleed out. It all went by before any of the surrounding humans or beasts could react, but when they finally noticed what had happened, they instantly began to cold sweat.
They had already somewhat been wary of the pearl-like dragon that they had heard rumours about, but they hadn't thought it would be as strong as to instantly kill a mid-tier Lord rank without any hassle.
- "Absorb."
Although Lucifer only whispered it silently, it was as if his deep and intimidating voice were transmitted into everyone' minds. They watched as the now dead human silently turned into what seemed to be dust, that got sucked into Lucifer's body. Without even a second passing by, Edward's body had completely disappeared leaving no trace of him existing. Instantly a chill went down everyone's spine, as they looked extremely uncomfortable and wary towards Lucifer who was now looking at every one of them with his reptile eyes. He was silently using his observation to scout out those with skills that could pique his interest.

[Unique Skill: Death Beam]
The user will instantly accumulate massive amounts of heat, sending a beam of light towards the target with incredible speed, instantly pulverizing anything it comes into contact with.

He was silently happy as to what he had gotten while looking extremely mysterious with no facial features changing as he was still scouting out more.
["The Host has successfully killed and absorbed 2 Lord-ranked Human. Awarding Host with 100,000XP, the 'Passive Skill: Automatic Mana Recovery', the 'Unique Skill: Hell Flame Curse' and 20% of the Human bloodline."]
After a while, Lucifer had found a couple of other humans that had some interesting skills that he might need in the future.

[Passive Skill: Automatic Mana Recovery]
A skill that allows the user to continuously regenerate spent MP at 10% of the total amount of the user pr. 10 minutes.
---
[Unique Skill: Hell Flame Curse]

It will slowly erode the target while keeping them immobile and suppressing their every move, allowing them to do nothing but be in the position they were caught in. It will use 10% of the total MP the user has. If it is used on someone stronger than the user, a percentage according to the gap of strength will be used with each minute passing.

For someone like Lucifer, the centre of the battlefield was just one big treasure that was just waiting to be harvested. Even if someone was double as strong as Lucifer, it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, as he had skills that could easily help him win against someone like that. It was almost impossible to even feel threatened with everyone present.
Although Lucifer didn't feel threatened, he didn't let down his guard, as someone strong could pop up out of nowhere. And he was also extremely interested in the Hell Flame Curse, as it sounded terrifying, brutal and insanely good. Although a price had to be paid on spending 10% of one's MP, it was still extremely good.

Around 100 kilometres away, stood an enormous youth with black hair and in white robes. Beside him stood another giant.
- "Your Majesty, it has almost been a day and the existence his Majesty was talking about hasn't shown up yet?"
If an existence could pique the interest of the Third Prince, then wouldn't they be extremely strong and fast? Why would it take so long for it to show up in the centre of the battlefield? Abrog couldn't help but sound his question out loud, in hope of an answer.
- "Don't worry, it's almost time."
With a mysterious yet all-knowing smile plastered on his face, the Third Prince of the Giants, silently closed his eyes as if concentrating on something.

Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons: Year One
Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. In a flash of snapping teeth, Logan suddenly finds himself on the doorstep to another world. He’s been unwittingly recruited into the Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons—the most prestigious interdimensional school dedicated to training the monstrous guardians who protect the Tree of Souls from so-called heroes. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…
