(Henry’s POV)

I obtained 2 new bows?

[Two Types of Bow Obtained]

[Choose one type of Bow]

So I can’t interchange bows, bow of sacrifice sounds kinda bad so I’ll go with courage. It’s not like I can win anyways.

Henry’s bow started to change shape, its color changed into white and its size almost doubled. The bow was curved more and was now 40 inch long.

I finally have a normal looking bow, it was kinda hard to aim using a small bow.

“oh, it looks like your bow evolved. Fu fu fu what an interesting turn of events”(???)

“Thank you”(Henry)

“For what?”(???)

“You are strong enough to instantly kill us yet you let one escape”(Henry)

“Fu fu fu so you noticed?”(???)

You are still sitting in front of me so I guess it was kinda obvious

“Since I didn’t do anything, why are you still here? Couldn’t you just run away with the other hero?”(???)

“I am not in a situation where I can think much, and I think it is better to make sure she can get away”(Henry)

Actually I can’t read you, I don’t know what you plan on doing so it is better for me to do this instead of running away with Hinata.

“Anyways since you are silently waiting, you want something from us?”(Henry)

“BINGO!” The hooded person clapped her hands and pointed both of her fingers towards him. “Actually I am already satisfied seeing your reactions, but since your bow evolved I think I want to test your powers a bit”

So this bow made the situation worst…

“Before we start fighting could you please tell me your name?”(Henry)

The person took out her hood, she was a human with Violet Hair that was tied up and a pair of purple eyes.

A human? I thought she was some kind of a humanoid monster

“I currently don’t have a name, the only thing I can say about myself is that I was created by my master to gather information. Our minds are linked so I kinda got my master’s personality, fu fu fu” The violet haired female stood up.

“Ok then, since I am quite a generous person. I will allow you to gather your strength and send an arrow towards me”(???)

“…” Henry raised his bow, he summoned an arrow of light and gathered mana on the arrow. After charging Henry released the arrow, the enemy grabbed the arrow broke it in two using her hands.

I knew this would happen, well I already let Hinata get away so I am already satisfied. For now I will force her attention towards me just so the violet haired lady won’t run after her.

After releasing the arrow, He ran around the enemy and started releasing a barrage of arrow. His enemy was able to block all of his attack using her hands, the enemy dashed to him and grabbed his head. The enemy then smashed his head towards the ground, Henry stood up but his body started to wave around.

“Oh, you are quite sturdy. Let me give you tip” The enemy started taking off her robe leaving her naked.

“Look here” The enemy pointed between her chest. “This here is called a mana crystal, if you could destroy this then you would be able to defeat me”

“cough…cough…are you sure you want me…cough…to see that”(Henry)

“Fu fu fu, there is no need to worry about it. Look at you, you can barely stand up. As you are now even if I show my weakness I will most probably not lose”(???)

“n…not that. I mean…cough… are you sure you want me to see you naked?”(Henry)

“Ah” The enemy clapped her hands and made an expression like she just remembered something, the enemy started wearing her clothes again and while she was doing that Henry sent an arrow towards her mana crystal.

“Nice try hero” The enemy grabbed the arrow and threw it back to Henry, the arrow piereced through his left chest.

“oops”(???)

He fell to the ground and his blood started flowing out of his body.

So this is how I die in this world… well atleast I was able to save one person

He can hear his enemy moving towards him as his consciousness started to fade.

Henry woke up in an empty world, he checked his surroundings and saw a ball of light.

“We finally meet master”(???)

“That voice, are you?...”(Henry)

“That is correct master, I am the Spirit of the Bow”(Bow)

“so why am I here? Is this the afterlife? Probably not I guess”(Henry)

“This is a place that connects your soul to mine. Master you are still alive, the enemy healed you and you are no longer in a critical state. After healing you she carried you and gave you to Hinata, I have to say her speed was a bit scary”(Bow)

“Is that right? Hmm why would the enemy heal me? tsk I really can’t read what’s inside her mind”(Henry)

“Sorry master I only know things that happen around you. I was born the moment you were summoned here. Well there are a bit of information in my soul when I was born so I know things like, I am a weapon and you are a hero”(Bow)

Wait so the spirit of the bow was created by the empire?

“Anyways you are safe now, it would take a few hours before you wake up but until then feel free to roam around this place”(Bow)

What’s the point of sightseeing when everything around me looks the same, an empty and silent world.

Unlike what Henry told to the empress. He wasn’t the heir to a company, he doesn’t even know who his parents are. He was born and raised as an assassin, he was also born with the talent in magic. His magic was thought to be an esper ability and was cultivated along with his assassin training. He was the most talented child on his batch and was given a small freedom as long as he does what the higher ups told him.

He was strong, he easily surpassed everyone in his batch and soon he was even stronger than those that trained him. He could have ran away but there was a deeply rooted fear inside of his heart. He continued living as an assassin, until one certain day.

He was supposed to kill a slave dealer, after finishing his job he was to search for children with talent and then set the rest of the child free. When he went to where the slaves were stored he was shocked, unlike the other slaves that was crying there was a 5 year old girl shouting things like “the hero will definitely save me!” and “evil doers will be punished!”.

Is this girl crazy? Well I guess being abducted is enough to make a person snap

For the first time in his life he was interested on someone, before this he was just an empty person without any goal in life. He didn’t show any emotions or perhaps he didn’t have any emotions to begin with, even when he sees a happy family he doesn’t feel jealous although he repeatedly asked himself why he was born in this world.

He took the girl and a few children to his supervisors, he begged them to let him keep the child and promised that he will work harder if they accept his demands. Since he was already one of the best assassins in the organization his supervisors thought that if he would work harder at the price of keeping one child then it was all worth it.

He didn’t know why but he was extremely happy when his superior accepted the girl although there was one small problem, the girl won’t open up to him. He tried bringing different toys to the girl every time he finishes a mission but she still didn't open up, it changed when he brought some comics though.

The girl that won't open up slowly noticed that he was a good guy well at least to her, when he brought a comic the girl then called him for the first time. She finally let out everything that she was hiding in her heart, everything like how a group of people killed her parents in front of her and how she was sent to a place she didn’t know. Slowly after that event, they both started being close. He was happy every time he stays with the girl, sometime after that the girl started requesting different things from him like dvds of anime and mangas. Their chat shifted from themselves to the story that the girl was reading and watching, as time passed also started to become interested in it.

5 years after that, the girl suddenly collapsed while chatting with him. He carried the girl and rushed to a hospital. When the doctor told him the situation of the girl he suddenly dropped his kness on the floor, the doctor said the girl’s body was deteriorating and that the hospital could at most prolong her life by 2 more years.

God if you exist please save her, I don’t care what kind of hardship I would have to go through but please save her. I beg of you please save her Henry couldn’t help but cry after hearing what the doctor said.

After that, the girl started living inside the hospital. Henry started to rush all of his mission so that he could spend more time with her, as time passed the girl’s condition became worse. Henry already asked every doctor he could find but all of them said they can’t do anything about the girl.

On the girl's 12th birthday, the girl could no longer move her body

“I am back Helen”(Henry)

“welcome back older brother” Helen smiled at him

“Look, I brought a limited edition figure of your favorite character”(Henry)

“thanks brother, um did you bring the latest edition of g******?”(Helen)

“Of course, how could I forget the things that my beloved sister likes”(Henry)

“ehehehe thanks brother, since it’s my birthday today can I ask you one selfish request”(Helen)

“Of course, what is it”(Henry)

“I would like you to read g****** for me”(Helen)

“ah… I guess I could”(Henry)

“THANK YOU BROTHER! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH”(Helen)

He sat near Helen and started reading the manga.

“Geez brother can’t you read with more emotion?”(Helen)

“its kinda hard… I read this kind of things inside my head you know” Henry raised his brow while looking at Helen.

“pft… ahahahahaha” Helen started to laugh at her brother.

“stop that I am trying my best to read it for you, you know?” Henry’s face was a bit red from embarrassment.

“ahahaha… cough…cough” Helen suddenly start couging blood.

“HELEN” He went out of the room and started shouting “DOCTOR! PLEASE HELP!”

A nurse heard his shout and told him to wait while she run to get the doctor.

“b…bro…brother” (Helen)

“p…please s…stop speaking for now and r…rest” Henry started shaking while holding her sister’s hand.

Helen took a deep breath and looked straightly in to his eyes.

“I already know that my life will not last longer”(Helen)

“please don’t say things like that, I will find a doctor that could heal you soon so please live for a little bit longer”(Henry)

“fu fu fu there is no use lying to me brother, after being with you for 7 years do you think I can’t see if you are lying or not? And besides you already searched for 2 years and you still haven’t found one”(Helen)

“i…its not that I just haven’t found the right doctor yet”(Henry)

“don’t burden yourself with me brother, I am already happy that you kept visiting me and didn’t leave me behind when you found out about my condition”(Helen)

“YOU ARE NOT A BURDEN! YOU ARE MY FAMILY!”(Henry)

“hehehe calm down brother”(Helen)

He started crying while holding Helen’s hand.

“please stop crying brother, if you cry like that then I won’t be able to hold myself back from crying” Teardrops began to fall from Helen’s eyes.

Helen’s body started to weaken.

“HELEN!”(Henry)

“bro…ther i..ts my b…birthday… right?, my… final…wish is that y…you listen… to…what… have to say”(Helen)

Henry didn’t know what to do to help her sister and simply nodded at her.

Helen smiled at him. Helen took a deep breath and relaxed her body to be able to tell his brother what she wants to say clearly.

“Brother I ask of you not to blame yourself after I die, I was able to enjoy 7 years of my life even after my p…parents di..died and I am th..thankful f…or th..that.” Helen started to have trouble speaking again, knowing that she didn’t have much time left she told her brother her innermost feelings.

“t…thank y…you, and I lo…love y…you b…brother” Helen smiled at him while slowly closing here eyes

After Helen’s death, Henry suddenly had a change in personality. The one and only person that made him feel alive died, to slightly ease his pain he started acting like his sister. He will suddenly shout things like “hero” or “demon lord”, he also started to save children near the age of 12. He no longer knows what he is doing, he simply felt like saving children. Because some of his actions hindered the organization and he didn’t show signs of changing they started sending assassins to kill him. As he continued saving children, more and more organizations started to attack him. On a certain day he was attacked by the top assassins of different organizations, he was able to kill all of them but was severely injured. As his body started to lose strength, his time seemed to slow down. He remembered his memories with Helen who he treated as a sister.

As his consciousness started to faded he uttered a few words."Helen... i miss you"(Henry)

After being summoned he continued to act like his sister, at first he didn’t care about what happens to the world but slowly changed his mind while being with Hinata. Even after all those years he still haven’t completely move on, but hopefully Hinata can fix his broken heart.

Henry woke up 4 hours after his defeat, he was currently resting at a city near the ogre’s den. When he looked around, he noticed that Hinata was sleeping on a chair next to his bed.

So I really am alive ,well.. it’s not like the spirit of bow will lie to me anyways.

While thinking, his bow suddenly appeared in front of him. His bow was a bit different from before. The color of the bow was light yellow with dark bits on the end and there were lightning currents spinning around the bow.
