“Meee~eeip.” Beil looked so happy when they leaped high.
After some leaps, Cain saw a group of people plus a four-wheeled horse-drawn cart near a spire when he was in mid air.
Cain landed not far from them. After he put Beil on the ground, they walked to the group. Two women and four men.
One of them noticed Cain’s presence. He turned around and looked at Cain.
“You come to watch them too?” asked the man.
“Yeah.” Cain replied.
“Good, the ground here is higher, so this is the best spot to watch them slaughtering each other,” said the man. “I’m Ziraf, you?” asked Ziraf, he was around his 30s
“I’m Cain, a Hunter.”
“We’re Hunters too.” responded one of the women.
“This is my Hunter group,” said Ziraf. “I never saw you around, are you a Grass?” asked he.
“I am,” Cain replied. “And this is Beil.” he pointed to Beil that stood near his feet.
“An otter? In a savanna? It’s rare.” said Ziraf.
“Guys, it’s almost starting.” said another woman.
Cain and Ziraf turned their attention towards the hordes.
In front of them, two hordes of beasts were closing in towards each other.
“Look at that, those rare beasts must be the Alpha of their respective horde.” commented the woman.
The west horde was led by a Grizzly Demonic Gorilla, it was approximately 16 feet in height with bluish black fur that covered its body. It had four eyes that could look into different directions independently. With its four strong-looking arms, it was walking intimidatingly among its horde.
The east horde was spearheaded by a Sunburst Liger. It had a bit smaller posture than the Gorilla, but it leaked a fiercer aura than the opposite Alpha. It had two majestic ram-like horns. Even though its left horn was broken in half, it still gave a shiver to whoever stood in front of it.
Both of the hordes were the same in size. Thousands in each horde.
“Sunburst Liger and Grizzly Demonic Gorilla, huh?.” said Ziraf.
“I like the Sunburst Liger, it stood in the vanguard ranks. Like how any leader should be!” said one of the Hunters.
“Stupid, why would the leader charges head on while it still has pawns to do that!?” responded the woman.
“Heh, you kinda sound like those fat assed commanders that gave the order from behind the desk, Rollei.” commented Ziraf to the woman called Rollei.

“Go away, Boss!” Rollei replied.
“Oh shit! They’re starting to charge!” said one of the Hunters excitedly.
Both of the hordes ran towards each other.
The hordes clashed, it was messy. Because some of the beast could use magic, it made the Brawl was really watch worthy.
In the vanguard ranks, with its powerful front leg sweep and sharp claws, the Liger quickly devastated the front liner of the west horde.
With a roar from the Gorilla, a horde of Twisted Horn Rhinos were charging towards the Liger, crushing the beasts on their path. But the rhinos just passed the Liger. They only targeted the opponent beasts around the Liger.
Another roar came from the Gorilla. A parade of Six Legged Elephants isolated the Liger. Then the beasts under the Gorilla’s command were starting to attack the isolated Liger.
“See! That’s how you win a war! Not just stupidly charging into the battlefield!” said Rollei.
The rare beasts were known to have intelligence and abilities way higher than normal beasts. That was why the Alpha of a horde always a rare beast.
Even though it was one against hundreds, the Liger kept calm. It stood its ground.
The rear ranks of the east horde did not stand still when they saw their Alpha got isolated. A group of Mountain Ogres took round rocks that were twice of their size. They threw the rocks to the sky, targeted to the Gorilla’s horde.
The rocks were suddenly burning in mid air. When it hit the west horde, it crushed dozens of the beasts.
But when the Gorilla’s horde thought those were just rocks. The burning rocks were starting to spin on the ground. It spun at high speed, making the dust rose up around the rocks. Then, the burning rocks were rolling in the enemy's ranks.
Those were actually Giant Flamerock Armadillos. They crushed the Gorilla’s horde with a blazing pace. The Twisted Horn Rhinos were not even their match. The armadillos crushed them when the rhinos tried to stop a rolling armadillo head on. And they also obliterated the elephant parade that isolated their Alpha.
Freed from its isolation, the Liger started to dominate the front line again. The Liger accumulated an energy inside its mouth. Its mouth was glowing yellow, then, it unleashed the energy. Shooting a yellow beam straight to the Grizzly Demonic Gorilla.
The beasts on the beam’s path were incinerated. But when the beam touched the Gorilla, the Gorilla took it head on but was left unscathed. It pounded its chest repeatedly and roared.

The Grizzly Demonic Gorilla was known to have a high defense against magical attacks.
With a straight path that had been opened, the Gorilla and the Liger ran towards each other.
“Oh shit! Here comes the Alphas!!” said the Hunter.
They clashed in front of a huge spire. The Gorilla’s uppercut that reached the Liger first marked the start of their one on one brawl.
With its ferocious physical posture, the Gorilla pounded, smacked, even kicked the Liger. The Liger rolled and countered with its sharp claws. It wounded the Gorilla’s left hand. They brawled violently, their blood splattered everywhere.
“Damn! The Liger can still strike back after being hit repeatedly with those crazy arms!?” said one of the Hunters.
“You’re so noisy, Vigel!” Rollei yelled at the man called Vigel.
“(A brawl between the rare beasts is really amazing!)” thought Cain. Not bothered by the banter between the Hunters.
“What do you think, Cain? Which one will win?” Ziraf asked Cain.
“Why are you asking the Grass!? Of course it’s the Gorilla! It will dominate the hordes! What a Grass rank knows about rare beasts anyway.” responded Rollei arrogantly.
“Your last comment is unnecessary, Rollei. But I’m with you this time, the Grizzly Demonic Gorilla will win.” said Vigel.
The other Hunters were also one voice with Vigel. The believed the Gorilla got this one.
“So?” Ziraf looked at Cain.
“Hm… I think the Sunburst Liger will have this one.” said Cain. He ignored the remarks by Rollei.
“Duh…” Rollei rolled up her eyes in response to what Cain said.
“Hoo? Why is that?” Ziraf was curious.
“Well, the Gorilla is young. Its fur is still bluish black, if it were a mature one, the fur would be reddish black. That means, it lacks experience on a fight, but at least it commands its horde well enough,” said Cain as he looked over the Alphas. “It’s the opposite for the Liger. It’s rich with battle experience. You can see the broken horn and the scars that covered its body. Clearly the Liger is battle hardened. It must have been maintained the Alpha seat from only Goddess knows how many challengers it had faced. Besides, the sun is high in the cloudless sky. It’s the prime time of the Sunburst Liger, the Grizzly Demonic Gorilla chose the wrong time to face it.” explained Cain.
Thanks to the knowledge from the Book of Gomara, Cain successfully decorated the face of the Hunters with a dumbfounded expression. Except Ziraf, he nodded in agreement to what Cain said.
“Meip!” Beil looked so proud.
“See? The Sunburst Liger is showing its true strength now.” said Cain as he looked to the brawling Alphas.
Yellow particles appeared around the body of Sunburst Liger. Then, the particles were absorbed by its fangs, claws and horns.
The Sunburst Liger’s fangs, claws and horns were glowing yellow. The glowings were also radiating heat.
The roar of the Sunburst Liger shook the ground a bit. Its eyes now were also glowing yellow.
The Grizzly Demonic Gorilla did not get intimidated. It also roared and charged towards the Liger.
The Liger just stood and waited the Gorilla. When the Gorilla swung its two right hands from left to the right side, the Liger ducked then headbutted the Gorilla’s chest.
The Gorilla was thrown by the headbutt’s force. It crashed to the ground and was rolling in pain. Its chest got burned, also its breast bone was broken.
The Liger leaped and pounced the Gorilla. It bit and ripped one of the Gorilla’s hands. It threw the Gorilla’s hand to the side. The Gorilla screamed in pain as its blood gushed out. That scene could make a human took a pity, but they were beasts.
The Liger sunk its claws to Grizzly Demonic Gorilla’s leg. It let its claws deep in the leg for a while, roasted whatever the claws touched in the leg.
The Gorilla was wriggling in pain. It roared weakly.
Four Giantclaw Great Bears heeded the call for help from their Alpha. Only to be blocked by the Mountain Ogres, they choked the bears to the death in the air with one hand.
“Holy shiiitttt! That’s a slaughter, guys!” said Vigel in awe.
“Your explanation was flawless, Cain. But you’re wrong about which one will win.” said Ziraf.
“Huh?” responded Cain.
The Liger sliced down the Gorilla’s leg. The Gorilla was just too weak now to react. Half of its horde also already got trampled by the Liger’s.
When the Liger was about to finish the Grizzly Demonic Gorilla, the ground was shaking.
Then, the huge spire that stood as their background crumbled.
“What is that!?” gasped Cain.
“That is, Cain, the true Alpha of Kuni Steppe!” said Ziraf in answer.
