It was almost time for the student orientation programme to begin. Li Rou packed her things, got up from her seat and started walking towards the designated location, the indoor sports hall.

“Look! That girl looks similar to Sadako from the movie ‘The Ring’!”

Many people would whisper and throw odd looks at Li Rou wherever she went. It was expected of course, Li Rou kept her hair covering her face. People were naturally curious about her facial features.

As she walked there, she noticed that there was a commotion going on. A large group of girls were clustered in an area as they surrounded a single male.

“He looked at me!”

“Wow! He’s so handsome!”

“I’m so lucky to be here with him!”

“Give me your autograph!”

“Take a picture with me!”

In the center of the group, Li Rou saw a familiar face. It was Wang Cheng Yu, the exact same flower boy from her time in university.

Cheng Yu was a part-time model. He had attractive looks that made women from all ages swoon for him. With the salary he obtained from his part-time job, he was able to afford numerous branded goods. Cheng Yu was the ideal male that every female wanted as a boyfriend. He was cool, stylish and wealthy.

But from Li Rou’s past experience, Cheng Yu was the scummiest piece of sh*t she ever knew. Cheng Yu was a casanova. After ‘doing the deed’ with one girl, he quickly moved on to another. He manipulated his fan club to clean up after him by having his fans chase away his ex-girlfriends away whenever they tried to confront him.

Li Rou immediately turned around and walked in the opposite direction to avoid this living piece of sh*t. Li Rou’s silhouette disappeared into the distance as she walked away from the commotion and towards the gathering area for the student orientation programme.

However, Cheng Yu had already noticed her. He was greatly intrigued by her hairstyle and her desire to hide her face. A strange glint shimmered in his eyes as he watched Li Rou walk away. With his curiosity stirred by Li Rou’s ridiculous hairstyle and hidden face, Li Rou had unknowingly become his next target.

In the indoor sports hall, the student orientation programme had begun. The event coordinators had everyone seated on the floor.

“For starters, find a partner and make friends with each other. We don’t really care.” The group of programme coordinators proceeded to find an area to sit and study by themselves. University was a non-stop race after all, a single moment of downtime could put a student way behind.

Li Rou sighed and started to get up. From the start, she had already anticipated this d*ck move by the programme coordinators. After all, she had already gone through university once. Instead, she was planning to find a co-curricular activity to join.

“Hey there I’m Wang Cheng Yu. What’s your name?” Cheng Yu suddenly appeared in front of Li Rou and introduced himself with a smile plastered on his face.

Cheng Yu’s actions brought a lot of attention towards Li Rou. The girls on campus were jealous that Cheng Yu had willingly struck up a conversation with Li Rou. They were interested in what Cheng Yu had to say to Sadako from ‘The Ring’.

“Li Li. I’m busy. Goodbye” Li Rou gave Cheng Yu a false name before turning around to leave in an attempt to extract herself from the situation.

“What do you say we hang out sometime?” Cheng Yu spoke loudly to Li Rou who had started to leave. With Cheng Yu’s actions, Li Rou had suddenly garnered a lot of hate from the girls without doing anything. The girls were all green with envy as Cheng Yu had expressed his interest in Li Rou.

“As sly and sinister as he f*cking ever was.” Li Rou solemnly thought to herself.

Without stopping to reply to Cheng Yu, Li Rou continued to walk away as she left the indoor sports hall.

Word soon spread across the campus.

The school’s flower boy was greatly interested in a mysterious girl whose face was still not known. Furthermore, the girl did not care about Cheng Yu’s advances.

Li Rou set her phone to silent as she constantly received notifications from the mass of points she had gained.

She starting heading towards the faculty building with clubrooms. Li Rou had decided to take a look at the club rooms before selecting a club she intended to join.
