《(OLD)Play On! My Lovely Goddess!》Chapter 14: Fighting for Li Rou!

Noticing that Li Rou had not answered Professor Zheng Wei’s question for quite some time, Dean Wei let out a loud cough, bringing everyone’s attention to him.
“Now that everyone is certain that you truly are the singer from the Weibo post, you are to choose whether or not do you want to transfer to another institution built around Performing Arts or remain in Tsinghua as a Business Studies undergraduate or even change your degree of choice to a music-related one.” Dean Wei waved his hand towards the large gathering of school representatives and gave her the true reason as to why she had been summoned to the meeting room.
“Naturally, all of us wish to further polish your abilities and highly recommend you to either transfer or switch to a musically related course. However, if you choose to remain in as an undergraduate in Business Studies, your decision will be respected as well.” Dean Wei said with a serious expression.
Li Rou carefully observed the other strangers in the room. It appeared to her that they all silently consented with everything that Dean Wei has said thus far. Even Professor Zheng Wei stood silently at the side, everything was now up to Li Rou to decide.
“But before we go any further, on behalf of the representatives from other schools such as Beijing Film Academy, Nanjing University of the Arts and even The National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, we must insist that your facial features are revealed to us.”
It was a reasonable request. To industries such as show business, music, and other performing sectors, an artiste’s appearance could play a huge role in their popularity. For example, in the US, Kim Kardashian has absolutely no talent in acting or any other performing arts. Despite that, the Kardashians are a household name as the beauty of her rounded butt cheeks in a sex tape made her largely popular among single men.

“But of course, if you continue to stay at Tsinghua University, there is no need to reveal your true appearance. In addition, we will naturally provide you with excellent additional benefits and enroll you as an honor student. Furthermore, we shall refurbish a teacher-sized dormitory for your personal stay.” Dean Wei shamelessly said as he threw out the bait.
But how could the other school representatives stay silent when they heard Dean Wei’s words?
“Nanjing University of the Arts no longer require you to reveal your facial features as well!”
“My Central Conservatory of Music does not need you to attend any lessons or take any exams! We will always open our doors for you and provide you the same benefits an honor student gets along with a monthly allowance larger than that of Tsinghua!”
“Our school can easily give you more than what Tsinghua can!”
Suddenly, a deep voice pierced through the noise and loudly proclaimed, “Peking University’s School of Arts will naturally offer more than what Tsinghua has to offer! Furthermore, we will have Associate Professor Hou Xi Jun and Associate Professor Zhou Yun Cheng whose main focus are in vocal music performance to personally guide you!”
“It’s Dean Wang Lang Yi from Peking University’s School of the Arts! He has personally come to Tsinghua to recruit a student!” Someone who had recognized Dean Wang exclaimed.
“Lang Yi you little slimeball! Daring to enter Tsinghua University while hiding in the large crowd of people just to steal one of my Tsinghua University’s students!” Dean Wei howled as he saw Dean Wang from Peking University.
“Hahaha! I dare! Why won’t I dare? Your Tsinghua musical accomplishments do not even hold a candle to my Peking University!” Dean Wang laughed as he loudly rebutted. The group of school representatives who came to Tsinghua University to recruit Li Rou were all eager to see how the situation would unfold.

It was public knowledge that Tsinghua and Peking University had a fierce and ongoing rivalry with each other as they competed against each other for the first place in university rankings. Soon the two were deeply embroiled in a fierce argument, boasting about their respective schools while belittling the other.
Having displayed her skills before the masters, Li Rou became an irresistible sack of meat and potatoes. Everybody offered numerous benefits and perks to entice her despite not knowing what she looked underneath. They were all willing to take the risk for a chance to get a bigger reward!
“I urgently need to go the washroom.” Li Rou hastily announced as she swiftly headed to the nearest washroom to consolidate her thoughts.
With the recruitment of her as a singer being the trigger, Li Rou finally recognized the golden opportunity in her lap the entire time!
Li Rou had finally come to the realization that she could easily become an international fashion model or a famous pop idol by using the talent tablets and facial masks given by the system!
If it wasn’t clear after Peking and Tsinghua faculty staff members fought to enroll her their own music course, the Business Studies degree in Tsinghua was now clearly worth dog shit to her!

This Book
The author, Edward Faust is aware that “This Book” does not really describe what this book is about. We shall pretend that it is a meta artistic choice but the reality is that Mr. Faust is bad at coming up with titles, and since starting This Book back in 2015 as a NaNoWriMo project he could never come up with a good one. This Book’s genre is YA Supernatural, but that’s only as helpful as any genre tag (IE: not very) so I shall describe it further. This Book is primarily about reincarnation, but it also features mythical creatures such as angels (known here as Seraphs), demons, Byzantines, as well as homeschoolers. Two mythical homeschoolers in fact make up the main characters of this work, a pair of siblings named Grayson and Kish. They live in metro Atlanta in the year 2019 AD with their Aunt. On one particular day they are plunged into a rabbit hole of spiritual and metaphysical politics by the arrival of a mysterious one-eyed Green haired woman and strange humanoid creatures into their lives. That is where the story begins. Yes. This book can also be found at https://thisbook.home.blog/
