《Grand Magus》Chapter 26 Preparation
Advertisement
The preparation time which Magus Sept gave his students passed in the blink of an eye.
Fraser couldn't produce an endless amount of basic explosion potion and instead could only create close to a dozen basic explosion potions every day, even if his spirit control increased, his spirit still quickly got used up.
Fraser even halted the simulation for the spell model dark rope in the AI in order to have the maximum amount of spirit to create basic explosion potion.
He also increased his spirit regeneration by meditating in order to be able to create the most amount of basic explosion he could possibly create.
Thus on the last day of the one week preparing period, he sold almost all of his basic explosion potions in order to buy the stuff he needed for the outpost.
The number of magic crystals he acquired was 300. He also left four dozen basic explosion potions in his stock in order to have them as his weapons if he will ever get in a dangerous situation.
Which will be rather unlikely as Fraser didn't have to do any assignments and already decided to spend the entire three years living like a hermit in order to increase his spirit and his goal was to reach Apprentice Level 3.
In the end, Fraser bought the two other potion recipes which were really popular, the basic strength potion and the basic wound mending potion. He also bought 80 times 10 materials for each of these potions and another 100 times 10 black fire eggs for his basic explosion potion.
The fatty which Fraser usually dealt business with gifted him a separate crate for each material and also didn't said anything when Fraser needed another five to six crates full of small glass flask.
On the last day, Fraser even visited the Howling Abyss Academy market and bought the Basic Knight Apprentice Breathing Technique which apparently was the attributeless Knight Technique after the Basic Knight Breathing Technique. The difference was that the more advanced Knight technique allowed Fraser to continue his Knight training.

Apparently Fraser couldn't even be considered to be a Knight, instead, he only reached the lower bottom of a Knight Apprentice.
The rank after Knight Apprentice was Knight and then came Grand Knight.
This showed how talented the half-brother of Fraser was, even though he was four years older than Fraser.
Though there was something needed other than the technique to reach the Knight level and every rank after that. Fraser didn't care about the restrictions at all as he could lay a solid foundation following the Knight path since he would own a strong body in order to be able to defend himself even if he was low on spirit.
The Basic Knight Apprentice Technique cost him 10 magic crystals.
Thus leaving Fraser with 20 magic crystals. Which he didn't spend on materials. Instead, Fraser bought 4 spirit techniques.
Spirit techniques were almost like spell models which meant that they also enabled one to cast spells. Yet one didn't needed to construct a spell model in order to cast the spell, instead one only needed to have sufficient spirit in order to be able to cast them.
Also, there is a serious downside of spirit techniques, they mostly had spell model counterparts which were way stronger.
Yet the number of spell models one could construct and use effectively was limited by the Apprentice Level.
Since he heard that one could only have one spell model at Apprentice Level 2 and another two at Apprentice Level 3. This was the information he acquired when he discussed Elise, Adrian, and Nicholas.
The information could be false, however, Fraser was able to deduce that the spell model dark rope only took half of a normal spell model as it took a major part of his spirit room when he was Apprentice Level 1 but now the spirit room somehow felt like it could share the place with another spell model.

This also allowed Fraser to think about creating a second dark rope while he was still Apprentice Level 2, thus allowing him to have 2 spell models at Apprentice Level 2.
Yet the spirit techniques also had an advantage compared to the spell models and were even powerful combined with spell models, as the spirit techniques mostly focused on practical spells like mind controlling a beast, supporting the gathering of the particles needed for a spell model, or generally just using your spirit to do something useful without needing a spell model like lifting physical objects.
The spirit marking that Fraser saw at the task hall which marked the notes hanging at the boards also belonged to the spirit techniques, a simple spirit technique, yet a rather practical one.
The four spirit technique books Fraser bought from the Howling Abyss Academy market section was the basic beast spirit technique, the basic telekinesis spirit technique, the basic common use of spirit technique and the increase particles spirit technique.
After securing his prepared materials in a lot of crates Fraser now had one dozen of crates containing his preparation materials. Ranging from his four dozen of basic explosion potions to the materials for the basic wound mending potion and the basic strengthening potion.
As dozens of crates were pretty heavy Fraser could only transport his crates with a small cart.
As he arrived in front of the chambers he could see that he wasn't the only one having so many crates.
A few of the true senior apprentices also had as many crates as Fraser, some even had more.
He could even see Emium with his signature white mask standing next to a couple of crates which were bigger than Frasers average crate size.
Though there were also a few people who had nothing at all except a small bag. To that category belonged the wood elf, the muscular woman and a few other concealed disciples.
The last people to arrive where the other four newcomers of Magus sept who never went to an outpost: Adrian, Nicholas, Elise, and Elizabeth.
None of them had more than one crate of stuff, instead, all they took was a huge trunk filled to the brim with stuff for each of them.
Every single one of them clearly seemed to be excited yet the only one to visible pale was Elise as she looked towards Fraser who stood next to his cart filled with dozen of crates and the other senior disciples of Magus Sept.
"Everyone is here, move out. We need to take our stuff to the airship which will go along each outpost. Everyone will have their own room, though ordinary students of Magus Sept need to share one with a couple of other students. So we are the first one to walk onto the airship." declared the muscular woman before leading the train of concealed disciples and their luggage towards a direction.
It was the airship where the group split into their own room. This time Fraser actually had his own room instead of sharing with four other people.
Though the model of the airship seemed to be the same as the one which took him to the Howling Abyss Academy.

This is my first work and I will hopefully stay around for a while. I will try to finish or at least expand on this piece of work for quite some time, expect a few hiatuses in between though, still have a bit of schooling to do. Expected release dates will probably be once a week(not sure yet) after I stabilized the novel a bit as I'm still debating on how I should handle this. I prefer fleshed-out works compared to quick releases, but it also depends on how I'm feeling. I don't have a lot of confidence in my writing skills and I believe that my writing style is a bit weird, but I do want to try my best to tell a story that's worth telling. I will gladly accept criticism but please try to pull the punches back a bit! I'm still only human after all. Very excited to work on this, please take good care of me as I proceed on this journey with all of you! P.S. If you're going into my series, expect to see cliches sprinkled here and there. I personally love cliches and a few tropes! But, that goes without saying, I want to put my own spin on them. Be ready to feel the edge!!! Heh.
