《Grand Magus》Chapter 47 Stable growth

After separating the huge pile of armored deer corpses into two portions and storing them into two different rooms Fraser immediately started to initiate his innate spell.
Once again Fraser looked with fascination how a larva crawled out of his arms and dropped into the first pile of corpses.
A new connection appeared in Fraser's mind and he immediately thought of creating another servant of the type soldier.
Since another servant of the type soldier would increase his battle power by almost double.
After all, he lost his spell model dark rope and now the only weapon Fraser had was his physical body which got strengthened after the fusion.
Repeating that with the second pile of corpses and a new connection, Fraser moved towards his bed and waited.
One, his soldier servant munched on a single armored deer in a happy way.
*Crunch* *crunch* *crunch*
With each bite, Fraser could see how the thick skin of the armored deer got shredded into bits of meat between the pinchers of One.
Though the gory scene didn’t bother him at all, instead it was the sound that disturbed Fraser concentration.
With a single command, One now had his own room where it happily continued to munch his share of the corpses in gusto.
Now, finally, in a room which allowed concentration which meant no disturbing crunching noises or the smell of blood and corpses, Fraser started to ponder about his future goals.
Obviously, for the second exploration, it would be better to have three soldiers instead of just one.
Even if the first exploration seemed like a child play, there has to be a reason why outposts which were located in the howling abyss had to retread towards an outpost at the edge.
As each outpost had a Magus as a supervisor and the fact that a Magus was probably way stronger than Fraser and even One, his soldier servant, indicated that the howling abyss had dangerous locations or animals.

Naturally, the creation of the basic wound mending, basic explosion potion or the basic strengthening potion needed to be done.
Additionally, the time spent in meditation needed to be considered as with more spirit, his innate spell would allow him to have more servants.
‘I would love to have more option which I can pursue. However, the outpost is not able to supply me with necessary information like spell models or necessary equipment like a second Alchemy Set. Though I have to guess that it wouldn’t be called Alchemy Set anymore and just a piece of better magical equipment with the relation of Alchemy.’
After thinking that, Fraser dived into his usual hermit lifestyle.
Meditation, which mostly consisted of cleaning or growing his spirit, eating his necessary food in order to not let his body deteriorate and listen to the connection towards One, who after receiving the command of resting fell into a state of hibernation.
A week passed and nothing special happened.
The only good thing that Fraser achieved in this one week came from his AI.
[Enough Data to compile an improved version of the Advanced Meditation Technique]
‘Explain to me what the improved version does compare to the normal one.’
[Improved Version will stress your spirit, allowing for faster growth. Side effects included minor spirit damages if used too often. Overall it will improve your spirit at a faster rate]
When Fraser used the improved technique in a careful manner, he had to say that the spirit improved at a faster rate. Though it put his spirit in a state of exhaustion which made it impossible to meditate.
However, this improved version still is faster compared to the normal one.
Besides, he would recover in a quick manner from the spirit exhaustions and since it didn’t leave any negative long-lasting impression on his spirit it could be called a superior version of the advanced meditation technique.

Not only that, in the time period with the exhausted spirit Fraser still was able to create potions.
So the amount of Fraser potion stock increased in a steady manner.
Thus Fraser continued his hermit lifestyle in the wait of his two new servants larva developing into full servant soldiers.
Another three weeks had to pass before Fraser once again stood in front of a cocoon.
Only this time Fraser knew that this cocoon isn’t the last one hatching this day.
When the time to hatch arrived, Fraser once again felt the ecstasy of having another life mate in the world.
A second being that understood him completely.
Even One who stood behind Fraser started to squeal in an exciting manner.
Sounds of a high pitched roar echoed from Fraser chamber walls.
When the second servant of the type soldier, it also began to devour its cocoon shells and glanced towards Fraser as if knowing who he is.
But this time One who squealed was in the same room which caused an unknown change happening between One, Fraser and the second servant of the type soldier.
Not a negative change. Instead, it felt more like a stronger connection building up between those three?
Fraser couldn't even describe what happened as the change happened within mere moments and he didn’t anticipate anything at all.
However as this change only made him feel more connected and somehow strengthened the bond between him and his two servants, everything is alright.
As the ecstatic feeling of having a second servant of the type soldier vanished, Fraser analyzed the new soldier.
It had the same size as One and it looked like a clone.
Though there was a distinct difference. The servant had a different color and the armor looked suspiciously similar to the armor of the armored deer.
Naturally even denser and stronger, but similar nonetheless.
A report which Fraser wanted came from the AI.
[Stats numbered from the new servant of the type servant:
14.59 strength, 12.32 agility, 6.08 vitality, special remark: A thick carapace caused by the genetics]
‘Compared to One stats, everything is worse except the strength and that this soldier has a thicker carapace, meaning a better armor. But I can’t complain, I got this servant for free as One slaughtered everything within a dozen minutes.’
In a miraculous way Second, the name which Fraser gave the second servant of the type soldier, shrank and became an insect man, just like One.
Now with two servants, Fraser walked towards the room with the second cocoon and repeated the steps.
The only difference being that a second insect squealed when the cocoon hatched.
Naturally, there was the moment of change, but this change also was positive. A better and stronger connection with his servant.
From the stats, the third servant of the type soldier could be compared to Second. It also had the special remark of having a thicker carapace.
‘Does that mean that the soldiers are able to absorb parts of the characteristics of the meat they eat? Or is the reason why they evolved because the meat entirely consisted of armored deer which genetically tend to have an armor?’
These question Fraser asked himself when three creepy insect man stood around him in an orderly fashion.
‘I need to start experimenting with the abilities of my innate spell. Besides I need information on the tide. I don’t know how dangerous it will be.’
