《Grand Magus》Chapter 68 A new Plane (2)

Looking at his online banking account, he could see that his balance was around two thousand credits. Credits were the common system in the federation of Galaxy GA8B90.
As a bag of chicken wings were priced around 2.49 credits, in the surrounding where Tom lived currently, he could say that it was the normal savings of a high schooler that had rather rich parents.
'Money is rather important in a civilization that implements capitalism. Besides I need meat from different creatures. Are there aliens? What about superpowers? Do they exist?'
A quick search on the internet revealed the fact that aliens existed. Yet, none of them were described in an informative way.
The same thing with superpowers, everyone knew that they existed in some shape or form, yet none knew how they looked.
It didn't matter how long Tom searched for any information on those topics. He couldn't find any.
Thus the only option was to learn to hack. Though it wasn't Tom who learned to hack. Instead, it was the AI-Chip.
The sad thing was that after a while, Fraser realized the futile task to learn to hack.
Apparently super AI was a thing and it was the AI who governed the Internet, so it was impossible for Tom to gain access to private information with his measly com-link as a device.
'So what for options do I have left? Stock trading?'
With a simple thought, Tom opened a broker account and transferred all of his two thousand credits to the broker account.
As the internet spanned across Galaxies, a vast amount of companies could be traded.
In order to not sit and scroll through the internet for information, Fraser simply asked the Ai a question.
'Is it possible for a servant to deliver the information to you? Perhaps a worker with good eyesight and the ability to use a com-link?'
[Affirmative, should the calculation focus on the task of maximizing the earnings?]
Confirming the request of the AI, Fraser focused on the insect servant spell model and created another larva.

This time he used more of his body tissues. It didn't have a negative effect on his body as Tom was rather chubby.
The larva immediately morphed into a cocoon. After a while, a weird looking insect emerged from the cocoon. It had arms and a rather large torso.
'So let me use more spirit to allow the AI to see the information.'
Just as Fraser wanted to use more spirit to connect to his worker, he realized that even without using a large part of his spirit, he could see, feel and even control the worker.
In order to confirm it, he walked out of his room and left only a small part of his spirit to control the worker.
Normally, the only information that Fraser could receive was basic calls like danger, interesting stuff and confirmation whether or not the worker was alive.
But this time, he received more information about the servant with ease. Even though only a tiny amount of spirit was used to control it.
It felt like being the servant. As if the servant was another him.
'So this is my spirit attribute? Good to know. AI, gather information and then trade with the highest chance of profit.'
Putting the Com-link in front of the weird-looking insect as well as commanding the AI to gather information through the insect, Tom began to make his Chicken wings with oven potatoes.
After setting a timer, he started his knight training.
Sweat poured out of his body as he breathed in a certain rhythm that coupled with the exercises he did, tempered his body.
After Tom finished his knight training, he ate the chicken wings and oven potatoes before moving on to shower in order to clean his body.
The sun started to set when Tom finished his shower.
Looking into the mirror, Tom could see a rather chubby youth looking back at him.
Black hair and brown eyes indicated an Asian looking youth.
A pair of glasses rested on his nose.

'So this is Tom? I guess, for now, I am Tom.'
Feeling clean after the shower, Tom began to plan his future.
His overall goal was to live as long as possible while at the same time gather as much information as possible about this world.
The Pathfinder would allow the acolyte to be transferred to a magical dimension that existed somewhere to acquire the information needed for his spirit attribute.
Meanwhile, the body of the Acolyte would be in a certain stasis which meant that the acolyte had as much time as he wanted.
'I guess the best action to do is to search for more things in the world. Tom had a general view on things but he only liked novels and stories. So there isn't much information about the military, political view or anything else.'
While the AI earned money via the worker and the com-link, Tom decided to use the community library for more information. As the library had public com-links for people who weren't able to afford a com-link.
Wearing a clean set of clothes and putting his shoes on, Tom walked out of the house.
As the security of his home worked with fingerprint, eye scanner, and picture scanner, Tom left the house with his clothes and a twenty credit bill.
It only took a short walk from his home to the nearest library.
Finding the nearest com-link station, Tom sat down and began his search for random stuff.
For example, the military used normal stuff like guns, rockets, explosives, and tanks. Though the most important thing of the military turned out to be mechanical suits that were either large, small, or for specific environments.
There were different series, the same with tanks or guns.
Next to the military, the political situation was peaceful.
No one did anything major except building new stuff, visiting colleges or schools or changing the focus of the technical advancement.
Though there was one thing that interested Tom: Interplanar Travel.
The cheapest ticket to the nearest planet that was inhabited sold for around two to three thousand credits.
Also, there were planets that focused on a single trade. For example, most of the planets near the one where Tom lived, focused on planting food and rearing animals.
Though there were also planets that tried to be all-rounders, the planet were Tom lived was one of those planets.
When Tom moved to the section on vehicles and weapons that can be bought by civilians, the sun already set and night arrived.
When Tom continued his research, a person walked behind him.
He chalked it up to the people who also had night research tendencies and continued his reading until a person patted his shoulder and said:
"Tommy, did your com-link that you bought last month disappeared? Or why are you in the library? Oh, weapons that can be bought by civilians? You are not planning to kill anyone, right? Don't tell me you are one of those depressed teenagers who think that killing people might solve problems?"
When Tom turned his head, he could see one of the many friends of his stepsister Penelope.
It was a female college student that, looking into his memories, Tom had a sexual interest in.
Though he also despised her a little bit as she always belittled him in many ways. Considering the fact that he was controlled by his hormones, coupled with the fact that he was socially inept, he couldn't really resist her.
"No, Soon I am going to have so much money that I don't know where I will use it. So I am searching for toys that might relieve me of that money. Like space trucks and weapons, the romance of every man."
That was what Tom replied to the female college student.

Loremaster: A Progression Dark Fantasy
Serena had died a Celestial. One of the few who were meant to rule over the vast multiverse. Yet she was inexplicably reborn. Carrying the knowledge of her past life, she seeks to do what her kind does best... rule. Yet, the multiverse isn't what it once was. Mortals aspire to become what the celestials once were, through levels or classes or cultivation. New things that didn't and shouldn't exist. And these mortals are only the beginning of what stands in her way. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Warning: There will be times that morally suspect themes happen. While I have little to no intention of showing them (especially during a Writathon) things like abuse of all kinds (neglect, emotional, mental, spiritual, physical and sexual) can or be implied to have happened. These are played to the horrors such things are, and are treated with the seriousness and aftereffects it would cause. Progression + Cultivation + GameLit + Multiverse + Slow Build + Slow Burn + Worldbuilding + Grimbright + Multiple POVs = Insanity for all. This the first time I am seriously writing an original story. I will be Writing each book in Parts/Arcs (3-6) with mini arcs (3-6 in each arc). Each Mini-arc is 5-14 or so chapters. I like progression stories and I've always wanted to try and write one like a few of the web novels that inspired me. The Game Lit aspects will be more in the background, with focus on other details like dungeons, monsters, loot, morality, and so on. There will be focus on various kinds of progression. Updates 3-5 days a week (Usually weekdays). Chapters will be roughly 1000-2500 words and alternate wildly.

Numbers Continually Going Upward
The world has very politely ended in the most webfiction way possible. Everyone is now leveling up in various things. Problems are arising. Some or all of those problems may be based around how to have a community barbeque when the nearest cow has been teleported to a few thousand miles away, along with the nearest supermarket. Join our protagoinst as he attempts to be a cool person, while everything falls apart. _____It turns out that any attempt to write a parody of the litrpg genre through overuse of the concept of leveling up inevitably fails when it turns out that *that is what the genre is based on*. Still, this was a fun little candy project of mine, and I might write more of it.

The Supernormal
In a world where fantasy has become everyday, one man stands against absurdity. The local Tower stomps through the streets. Any hedge could contain a witch. Walls regularly crumble, though none more often than the fourth. In the magical city of Blackpool, all ridiculousness is possible, and it takes everything for Jack Of All Trades to survive. Badly, at that. Perpetually late with his rent, he'll take up arms for any paying customer in order to fulfill his quest. His obstacles include polka-loving ghosts, card-game playing vampires, and the most vicious monsters of all: copyright lawyers. When he's joined by an arrogant magus and an insecure vampire, his life gets even more complicated, but no matter what kind of infuriating choose-your-own-adventure he finds himself on, one constant remains—his rent is due at the end of the month. On second thoughts, maybe he should stay in bed. The Supernormal isn't your average web-novel. It's an urban fantasy parody that saunters through a world full of the absurd, delighting in poking fun at popular media, widely-accepted ideas, and often itself. Story arcs only loosely connect through the characters, who are themselves slowly fleshed out as the story continues. Think of Discworld meets The Dresden Files meets Gintama. This novel won't be for everyone, but if it is for you, you're in for a hell of a ride.
