《Bathilda the Bat》Hope

What the hell, Bathilda?
'I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I was just... Trying to get through the gap,' she defends herself after knocking her companion to his death.
That was the worst feeling I have ever experienced. It feels like it's still going on.
'They're probably still tearing away to be honest,' offering insight, Bathilda continues on with words that Hiro would rather not hear.
Not helping Bathilda!
'Sorry. It was just crazy how it happened. They're quite easy to take down in small numbers but in a large group like that, they're a lot more dangerous huh?'
Dangerous? That's an understatement if I've ever heard one. Murderous Little Bastards is what I would have gone with. Please stop talking about it though, I just need a little me time to gather my thought together.
Now that she has her helper back from grave, Bathilda is able to breathe a sigh of relief as well. Leaving Hiro alone for the moment as he requested, she slumps down on the wall to take stock of her status.
Name: Bathilda
Race: Blood Sucking Bat
Class: None
Title: Rodent Slaughterer
Level: 25
XP needed until next Level: MAX
HP: 254/254
MP: 214/214
Skill Points Available
Evolution Available
'I'll allocate skill points later but for now, show me those evolutions,' Bathilda reads the same choices as before and one new option thanks to Bood Sucker reaching maximum level.
Vampire Bat: This evolved predator not only replenishes its health and mana from the veins of its victims but its life force as well. As long as this species is not inflicted with a deadly wound, a full recovery can be made from a single harvest increasing the lifespan of the user.
'Please go how I want you to. Please go how I want you to. Please go how I want, you to." Chanting away to herself, Bathilda confirms the evolution and drifts off into an evolutionary sleep in her makeshift home. As her eyes close she can hear Hiro complaining about her not making the entrance wider, but she can do nothing now except rest, wait and hope like hell.

Bathilda thought being a nurse was quite a strenuous job. She would have never compared it to something so strange as gaining levels and evolving. It's not as though the two are similar in any way. Yet as she lays there, in her unconscious changing state, she thinks about how this new life could easily be classed as harder than her past one.
She almost starved to death before feasting on Brat juice. Not that the thought of such a meal had any appeal to her before she became a blood sucker. She was almost dinner to the overly-large Millisnake, as well as the fall they both partook in. Fortunately for Bathilda, she isn't dead and she has the great joy of holding on to her hope that she can someday be a help to the people of this world.
Once she finds them that is and after she's escaped this silly labyrinth of course.
With these thoughts in her mind, Bathilda regains control of her newly altered body but she doesn't move a muscle.
'Hiro, how do I look?' still holding the hope tight to her core, Bathilda asks her hitchhiking travel buddy to break the news of her appearance hoping her choices had led her down the correct path.
Still like a Bat. Except this time, you look even scarier.
Not receiving the news she had wanted, Bathilda sits up and checks herself out.
'Shit. Shit. Shitty. Shit. Shit. Shit. I thought for sure that I was going to be like the ones you see in the movies,' dejected that life is unwilling to let her change, Bathilda closes her eyes and lays back down.
What are... Moveys?
Without opening her eyes, Bathilda explains to Hiro how motion pictures were created in her world.
You had moving pictures in your world! That sounds amazing!

'I suppose they were very entertaining. The problem with them is that they can implant ideas in your mind and make you expect certain things to happen. Take my evolution for example, I was half expecting to become a shiny dazzling vampire seeing as how I was always part of team Edward. I was foolish. Instead, this world has shit on me once more as it really seems to hate me. I mean, my appearance makes me look like I'm on team Jacob for God's sake.'
That sounds... A little strange?
'I've had it, Hiro. With this shitty place. The horrible rat's. This stupid Bat thing and these crappy evolutions. I'm done,' rolling over, Bathilda gives up on her hopes and refuses to move again until she eventually falls asleep.
As she lay there, her dreams carry her away and take Bathilda to a city she's never seen before. Encased in a large circular wall, the entire city looks eloquent and beautiful, even from her position above. Almost every building has been built from the same white-marble material and they all have magnificent designs decorating them.
Bathilda can see many sights from the air above and as she drifts forward with the breeze. All she can do is watch the splendid sights pass beneath her in awe. It's not until she tries to alter her direction, that a very-feminine hand rises up in front of her instead of a wing.
This hand is obviously attached to a wrist, which is subsequently attached to an arm. Her arm, as it turns out. The amazing view of the city underneath has now become a secondary wonder to Bathilda as she looks directly below herself to see two legs dangling in the breeze. She doesn't even register the distance that's between herself and the ground as a smile spreads across her face. She can't see this smile, only the tip of a little nose on the front of her face. Bathilda can feel each muscle contracting however and then she catches sight of her raised cheeks. After pulling a few silly faces and smiling some more so that she can see different parts of her face, a tear escapes her eyes.
As an instant reaction, Bathilda brings her hand up to her face to remove the tear but stops short. Gazing at her hand, another tear escapes her as she wiggles her fingers and giggles to herself. She hugs her soft body and feels blessed by the soft caressing touch of her own hands.
As she revels in her own self delight, Bathilda hears screams coming from the city beneath her. Her core values would never let anyone in need go unaided and she sets off with incredible speed. Flying past the beautifully-engraved white-buildings, Bathilda manages to reach the source of the noise. To her shock, an Ogre has picked up a screaming child and is about to throw her into its exceptionally large mouth.
Understanding what is about to happen, Bathilda darts forward at an insane speed, "No!"

The Normal Dungeon Core: Lethe
Just a normal, standard, no extra frills or gills, dungeon core LitRPG novel in a fantastical world. And as usual, a system exists! Prologue: You know all those stories about reincarnation? Where our beloved (or hated) protagonists are transferred to a new world to conquer, defeat the demon lord, rescue the princess. or are made into mythical gems of power with control over Monsters and Men (psst..a dungeon core)? Where they get a cheat-like ability, are special, granted privileges, or have knowledge from another world? Well, I read about them too in my spare time before I came here. At least, I think I did. Now, you might be asking, where is 'here' ? To answer your somewhat specific, yet vague, question my dear audience...I don't know! But what I do know is that...well nothing other than I had a past life...I think... Anyway...You are correct in assuming that I was indeed reincarnated into a dungeon core! But... ..I have no idea who I was. ...I don't seem to have any special powers or skills or cheats. ....And I was specifically told by Mr. S that I am not, and never will be, "special." Now, if you are confused, then I'm doing a great job, because you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, I haven't given you a background story, or taken you through the last few hours of my new existence. We will get to that! I promise! The main reason I am telling you this absurd and completely delusional preface, is to introduce to you the idea that I, as in me, the new dungeon core, am not "special".............. With that out of the way, how about we rewind time a bit to when I...developed my consciousness? Yes? Great! Lets goooooo! ---------
