《Bathilda the Bat》Leaving Home

After leaving the pit and returning to the room where she fought the King Slime, Bathilda and Hiro stop in front of the exit. A lush forest, full of unseen greenery is waiting just outside for them but Bathilda has a new problem on her mind.
I can't go out there. I've got no clothes on. Granted I might be a small child but I still have my dignity, you know?
Wincing at the thought of still being stuck in the now less-than-lifeless cave, even though she's finally found her way out, Bathilda remembers a purchasable skill that she saw when she was browsing her catalogue.
Back when Bathilda had to rest and regenerate between evolutions, she would spend copious amounts of time browsing through the then unattainable skills. Some of them are still unobtainable due to their costs but they're not what she's looking for this time.
"Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please." She says whilst scrolling down the large list of skills. Her eyes shoot from one to the next as she speed reads her way through until she eventually finds what she came looking for.
"There are thousands of skills on this list and I hardly make enough points to buy what I need. Nevermind what I want. Still, this will have to do for now." Sitting on a rather-small fifty skill points after defeating the King Slime and evolving, Bathilda feels as though she's deserving of more as she spends twenty of her measly points on her needs.
Knowledge on the skill use flows into her mind and she gains a novice-like understanding of its capabilities. It's more than enough for what she wants and she casts a basic spell as soon as she has finished her learning. Immediately, a small white summer dress appears from nowhere on top of her skin.

Skill: Illusion Magic
Create mild illusions to trick and deceive people. Cannot conjure spells more than fifty feet away from the caster. Cannot add substance to created manifestations which result in them being weak to touch.
"Amazing," she says with a twirl. The frills of her dress glide up with the motion and she stops with a smile.
"OK, Hiro," Bathilda says with inflated courage now that she's modestly dressed, "Let's go!"
Marching out of the cave's only entrance, Bathilda can't tell whether it's her size, or the actual size of the overgrown trees, that's making her small. Regardless, the nature inhabiting the area directly in front of her ex-base is absolutely enormous.
"It feels as though I've been shipped off to the Land of the Giants," she jokes to Hiro. After not getting a reply, Bathilda turns back around to face the cave to see Hiro still standing there... naked.
"Jeez, Hiro. Put some clothes on or something would you? Damn pervert. You don't want to make this place known as 'The Forest of Loli's' do you?" Finally in a good mood, she laughs.
Damn it's good to be wearing clothes. Or at least having clothing cover me.
"I cant!" Hiro shouts back.
"Why not?"
"I don't know? You're the main body, shouldn't you know?"
Placing a finger next to her mouth, Bathilda plays with her fang whilst trying to figure out why Hiro is unable to use Illusions.
Is this one of the skills that clones are restricted from using? It could be. Although it's not as if the spell takes lots of mana to use. It diminishes my MP by a constant amount of 10 but that's all there is to it really. Is it because I had a clone summoned before I purchased the Illusion magic. As far as theoretical guesses go, that sounds like it could be a winner.

"I've got an idea, Hiro." Smiling mischievously, to the unsatisfied eyes of her summoned self, Bathilda let's off a Wing Blade with all the power she can manage. Her aim was to wipe out Hiro's clone body, painlessly and efficiently, in one quick move.
Without fully comprehending the rise in value of her status numbers though, Bathilda did much more damage than she had anticipated. Granted, Hiro's cloned-body was ripped apart by the ferocious slice of wind, just as she had wanted, but so too had the entire mountain in which the cave of her base was located.
Bathilda's mouth drops open as by some miracle, the remaining top-half of the mountain falls-to-rest quite easily of the now-much-bigger-looking bottom-half without much damage being caused to what remains. The awkward-looking mountain no longer features the entrance Bathilda had left from and in which Hiro was still standing.
After recovering from her self-caused PTSD by almost dropping a mountain on herself, Bathilda recreates her hitchhiker to test her theory. Unfortunately though, cooperation and helpfulness are not the thoughts on Hiro's mind as he's ousted straight back into another clone.
"God, damn it, Bathilda! I'm pretty sure you're killing me on purpose now!"
"Well, I suppose that was my intention. In my defence though, the clones aren't really real and it seemed like the quickest theory to test," she smiles.
"I'm real though! I'm real, Bathilda! There are only so many deaths a man can take before they destroy his soul, you know?" playing the pity card, Hiro drops to his knees and looks at Bathilda through a perfect replica of her own large-scarlett eyes.
"You can always go back to paradise?" Bathilda says.
Grumbling to himself in a childish and girly way, Hiro frowns in defeat. Paradise was far worse than this new planet that they'd come to. Even if he had already died here by the hands of his lift no less.
"Fine. What now?" Hiro eventually concedes.
"I want you to check again to see if you can use Illusion Magic now. If you can create a simple dress or something like I did so you're not showing my bits off to everyone." Laying down the law, Bathilda explains her expectations to Hiro.
"Again? Fine, hang on... Wait a minute. Hey I can use it now, how come?"
"I think you couldn't use it before because you had already been summoned. If that makes sense. You were created before I learned how to cast Illusions. That means you aren't able to learn new skills that I pick up after you've been created. Not unless you're destroyed and then recreated that is." Summing up her theory in an easy to understand few sentences, Bathilda smiles and throws Hiro and hearty thumbs up.
Hiro on the other hand has created a sunflower-themed dress and is still frowning at Bathilda.
"You could have cancelled the clone spell and recreated me after that. You didn't need to go all out on me."
"I did sort-of want to test my strength out as well. Especially after seeing you not get hurt from that fall. Sorry, Hiro. Either way, it's finally time to go."
"Really. To see other people," Hiro finally perks up and smiles.
"Yes. To find other people. First though, let's get a good look at where we are." Bathilda smiles back and they both fly up to the top of the tree's to see what awaits them in their surroundings.

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons.
