I fly overhead of the pirates who have all left the safety of their base and are now out looking over the ocean. The attack against my army will not go unpunished. The preparation for the aerial assault has been underway since the first night raid. I just would have rather avoided such a dirty tactic. We have enough explosives on us to do significant damage to the main building. I call out as loud as I can as we fly high enough to avoid the mana cannons.

“WHEN WE GET CLOSE, WE'll DIVE BOMB THE BASE AND DROP OUR EXPLOSIVES!”

This is almost a years worth of preparation going to be spent here. I had been building up enough void satchels full of acid and explosives to destroy hundreds of soldiers at once. If we target the base they are hiding in, it will be far easier to launch hit and run tactics against them. My army may be outnumbered but we will never be outmaneuvered.

We fly overhead and start to descend. We are passed their cannons now. It will take a minute to get them repositioned to where we are. We don't give them the chance, dropping bombs on the outer part of the base where the cannons are set-up. The mana canisters that were set-up are aiding in our attack. Almost a chain reaction of them happen as we destroy the entire side of newly placed mana cannons on the second level. Even assisting in the destruction of the roof of the first floor. Almost causing enough damage to cause another chain reaction.

We proceed to continue this attack. Targeting the mana cannons as we continue. Most of the attacks are done on the outer parts of this big building. I lead each assault as we target them. We scatter a few bombs onto the middle of the second floor of the building. Causing the shoddily made roof to fall apart, the casualties of this attack has already exceeded the men I just lost by double easily. With their defenses shot, their mana cannons destroyed, we fall back. They could do nothing to stop us. Before we completely leave, I yell out as loud as I can. With the help of a wind scroll to carry my message across the building.

“YOU HAVE UNTIL TOMORROW TO SURRENDER! WE WILL ATTACK IN FULL FORCE THEN! MAKE PEACE WITH YOUR GODS IF YOU DON'T!”

I fly over the group again… I see the blood knight. This might be the battle changing decision... I fly down and start filling my mouth with wind scrolls and flammable liquid. He see's me dive bombing and I can see fear in his eyes. He starts killing his own men! What is wrong with these people? He kills 3 people before I am close enough to hit him with my dragons breath. I hear the sound of cannon fire as I do so. I'll only get one chance at this. I breath fire just as he pulls the blood out of the freshly made corpses of his own men.

The fire is intense enough to kill several dozen people… He managed to get a shield up to stop it just in time… It couldn't stop the flames completely. They broke through and some scorched him. I see the flesh melt off his face, he screaks out in pain as I fly up to avoid being struck by the cannon fire. The rocks being fired strike their own troops, killing some of their own men. He looks to be in bad shape as some of his men fire arrows and throw knives at me as I fly up… None connect as they aren't very trained in fighting. My attack wasn't enough to kill him… Damn it! The blood knight crawls away… He is hurt. Even with a healer, he is going to be covered in burn scars from now on.

Class learned Blood knight- passive skill gained Bloody strength- attacks are strengthened with the assistance of blood (uses your own unless you've drawn the enemies blood), passive stat increase charisma

Level 1 passive skill Blood strike- every single attack against an opponent that draws blood strengthens the next attack

Secret skill Blood defense- Able to form a set of armor or shield made out of blood that will protect you and will grow in strength as it absorbs the blood of enemies

I should have used Aegis to boost my stats for that attack… If I had killed him, it would be far easier… I notice both Lance and Leon are in the group… I would have just unintentionally burned them if I attacked with slightly more power… Both look as if their hair was scorched by the attack and look slightly agitated but not harmed at least. I breath a sigh of relief that I didn't harm my friends unintentionally.

I fly back to the ships… The main thing the army we are facing is lacking is ranged forces. If we can keep the fighting at longer reach or lure them out of their mana cannon range, we'll be far more advantaged in the fight... I doubt Gold would allow her armies to be outmatched by this. Zergnar and his aerial troops will be non stop attacking with sacks of rocks now that the thin roof as been destroyed. He'll continue his attack up until the next day, a few hours before we start the final attack. With so much left to do... I still need to go speak with Nami before the final assault to ask for her ninja's aid. We also need to have a final war meeting. This will be the last discussion before the fate changing fight in this war… Of this entire world...

Kline's point of view

“So you're name is Silky? That is a nice name.”

“Thank you. I think Kline is a nice name too.”

We sort of sat their awkwardly after that… I don't know what to talk to her about… She did spy on me from another dimension… But I can't fault her either because I'm great. Of course she would want to watch me… Heh, I shouldn't talk myself up in my head.

“So… Why did you like watching me?”

She twitched a little, twiddling her ethereal fingers as she begins to speak.

“I… You are just such a good story teller. The way to talk to those children… You make everyone around you happy. I really like watching the smiles you put on peoples faces… I wanted to hear the stories you were telling and I would make up stories as you would tell them. How you would go on adventures and save people. How you would always make jokes to make people laugh… I just like you.”

She looks as if she would be blushing if she could. Gods she's cute, I'm not sure how a relationship would work with a creature from another plain… I especially think of how the sex would work... Can we honestly have sex? Does she have... Working lady parts... Lets just start as friends then.

“If you want. I can tell you those stories when I'm not busy.

The look of surprise and excitement comes across her see through face. The smile that she was talking about me giving to other people appears across her own face.

Leon's point of view

It's been an hour since the attack. It is almost getting dark… If Kite was smart, he would attack another few nights of stealthily lowering their numbers. Calling out that we are attacking tomorrow is a huge mistake. I don't know what he is thinking but if I can kill the lich tonight, I can leave this base and we can put off fighting the pirates until they give up. If we crush their leader, cut the head off the snake… They'll give up or they will die along with her.

I enter the building. She told me to come speak with her. Once we are in a room with a limited amount of people. I'll use that as a chance to kill her. Lance is keeping a close eye on the door I entered in case I need back up or we need to flee. He'll be ready to go if I come rushing out. I am lead through the hallways of this maze like structure. I think they purposely made it confusing so intruders would be confused as well.

I'm lead into a room and around a dozen pirates ambush me and hold my arms. Three on each arm three behind me and one on each leg. I barely get to look around the room as they try to grab me to a table. Inside the room the giant storage room is hundreds of those ravenous dead… I think Gold has been bringing down pirates and force feeding them pieces of human so they change. I start to feel fear when I understand what they have in store for me.

They try to carry me over to a table and tie me down but I manage to kick one off me, dropping my body down enough for me to knee another in the face. They don't give me time to recover, several of the ones behind me grab at my face. One of them has human in his hand and forces it into my mouth. I instinctively bite down and sever two of his fingers off. I spit most of it out before I am hit with a punch to my face… I swallow reflexively… They all let me go.

MY BODY IS BURNING! I… It hurts so bad! I go into a rage, with almost uncontrollable strength, I kill the dozen men. I... I think I just ate human without even realizing it… Not the human I was forced to eat... But the ones I just killed... Ripping the flesh out of their necks as the others looked on in fear before they gained the same fate. I... I need to get out of here. I need to talk with Lance! I need to… What do I need to do… I need to leave… That is all I can think… How did I… Which way do I go…

Lance's point of view

I'm waiting near the door, somewhat overlooking it but staying far enough away so I don't look suspicious. I wait for Leon… 30 minutes pass before he exits the buildi-. WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM!? He yells out.

“HELP ME!!!”

He falls over after yelling… I grab him without another word and head towards our forward base on the island. Some of the pirates overlooked what had just happened but after seeing he was a… Monster... They stopped in their tracks. No one knew what to do... I throw him over my shoulders and now go into a full sprint. My heart beats out of my chest at what has happened.

Gobber's point of view

My little girl prodded me a few minutes ago. She whispered to me.

“Daddy…. Listen… Please take me to the main base on the island… I feel someone in trouble. Don't tell mommy though or she will get angry.”

Do I take my daughter to a battlefield? I roll around on the ground trying to think. Hilda will kill me if she finds out. It is also a giant risk to my daughters own health. She speaks again.

“Hurry daddy. We need to hurry if we want to save him!”

She said it loud enough for Hilda to overhear. Hilda gives me a look as if to say. You take her anywhere and you're as good as dead. In order to get Hilda junior out to help the person… I'll have to think of a good lie…

“Umm… Hilda junior has to poop and… She wants to use someone else's toilet to see if it feels different... BYE!”

I grab her and rush out of the room. What an excellent lie, there is no way she will see through that. I run over to the portals… This is the last chance I have to think on weather or not I am going directly against Hilda… She chased us down though and I hear her yelling behind me.

“Gobber! I just heard Hilda junior ask to come help someone and then she has to poop. That is quite possibly the worst lie I've ever heard.”

“She just wants to help people… If I go with her, I can protect her…”

“The army is filled with other healers. Can't any of them do it?”

Hilda junior speaks up.

“No… If they could I wouldn't make a big deal out of this… The voice in my head says that I am the only one who can do it.”

She has a voice in her head? She continues to speak.

“It is saying that if I don't help him… He will change forever... Making it impossible for him to ever become normal again.”

I ask who? She answers.

“… The voice says… His name is Leon. Mommy didn't let me help when the ships were sank… 3 people could have been saved… At least that is what the voice is saying.”

Hilda looks at us… She looks as conflicted as I do. I finally say.

“We can go with her and watch over her. She isn't alone and I'll give my life to protect her if I have to.”

Hilda bites her lip almost hard enough to draw blood. She speaks while sighing heavily because of worry.
