《A Castle in a Teacup》Interlude 1 (council)

“ So now that we’re all here let's get this mess figured out.” A huge man in slate grey armor rumbled.
“aren’t we missing several of the lesser Household heads?” intoned a slim man in green robes and a black skull cap.
“ Fuck’em if they want to lead from the rear they don’t get to make the big decisions.” Growled the huge man.
The group was a strange one of twelve very different individuals. Three clad in plate armor, four wearing copper breastplates and greaves covered in glowing symbols, the last five wearing different colored full-body robes and a variety of ridiculous headwear. The room they were in was the size of a basketball court, on closer examination it probably had at one point been a basketball court. The only objects in the room was a small office desk on which sat a piece paper on which was a crudely drawn stick figure giving viewers a crude gesture and a half-finished cup of tea. Before the wizard in the red robe and a top hat had disenchanted the paper it had followed random entrants into the room around making foul noises. To anyone with magical sight a huge portal made out of muted dark colors could be seen swirling in the center of the gym floor.
“ So what is it exactly?” asked a slim individual in blueish armor.
“ a pocket dimension, Abyssal sided it seems” stated the green-robed man with a grim look.
A few sighs could be heard from the occupants of the room with the blue armored individual groaning loudly.
“ It seems even within this center of his former power our foe has is yet another layer of defense.” Stated one of the runed individuals. A mad smile split his face seeming to almost reach all the way to his pointed ears.

“ So it would seem you creepy bastard” rumbled the giant while the Fey’s smile somehow got even wider “ fighting this madman in his own pocket dimension will be even more of a nightmare than this battle was, and this battle was a complete fucking nightmare.”
The others in the room look at each other grimly.
Finally, the green-robed wizard spoke, “ What about another option?”
A different Fey with straw-colored hair looked at the wizard sharply “Yes of course perhaps we can just negotiate, ohh maybe we can all learn the true meaning of friendship that you mortals are so fond of. Oh my, I am sure that this madman is so deeply contrite for butchering my kin like animals.”
No one rises to the barb, too much has been lost today and the day before for anything other than solemnity.
“ I am not suggesting we compromise, I am merely suggesting we give him a slow death with little cost to ourselves. This dimension is Abyssal, it will only lose power and essence as time goes by. I suggest we seal him in there until he is eaten alive by those things he has created, however long that may take. He is just one wizard we are some of the foremost users of the mystical arts on the continent, he will never escape and the issue will be solved. We will simply need a focus and all of your aid.”
The meeting was quiet for a long moment as each in attendance digested this.
“ It seems half-assed but I have lost a lot of good people any more and there may be a mutiny, alright if we can really stopper this fucker then I’m in.” rumbled the giant.
One by one the other members of the meeting joined their voice to the idea until finally all that hadn’t spoken was the straw-haired Fey.

“ I was promised his heart and I have been betrayed by your pathetic weakness.” snarled the Fey “do not contact my people when he does escape.” turning the Fey stalked out of the room.
“ Alright let's do this, we need a focus that is easily transported and secured” stated the green wizard. He walked over to the desk grabbed the teacup and emptied it on the ground. He moved back toward the center of the room. The teacup is tossed into the air above the portal where it hovers defying gravity and reason.
“Well, let's get to it before something nasty comes out of there.”
