We were running. Panting. Huffing. Screaming. Begging. Then falling. Tumbling. We could not outrun them. We were not slow, they were just too fast.

A hybrid that blew the rules of evolution and science. An experiment that escaped the quarantines of the First Biological War and proceeded to terrorize all civilisation in the vicinity. The Japanese Harvester Hornets, or more commenly known by the names The Slaughter Hornets or The Harvesters.

There is an unspoken rule with these devils. " Enter the domain of the Harvester and be glad for the swift death that presents itself". Born and bred to kill and tear apart any living thing that enters its domain, these devils have established themselves to be one of the most succesful insects to be bred ever and has begun to break down the ecosystems all around the world. So, therefore it is the duty of those who let those critters lose to take them back right?

I am known as Breeder to my collegues, my real name is irrelevant, and I am (sadly) the person who brought these hybrids to existence. I couldn't help it, I mean, it's not everyday that the oppurtunity to hybridise killer bees, harvester ants and japanese hornets together right? Well, now I have made a huge mess. These hornets, they have little weaknesses.

It's too late for me. I can feels it, the venom coursing through my veins, into my heart, my brain. I can't feels my legs, I lift up my hand, was it ever so big? Is it swollen? My throat feels dry, my chest hurts. Why is the ground so close? When did I fall down? Why is it so cold? You know... I never meant for them to be killers, I just wanted them to be able to defend themselves. Maybe in my next life, I can perfect them again.

Ah....I let out my breath, my final breath as my lids drooped shut. I wonder if they have pizza where the dead goes. Do I get my bonuses deducted because of my creations?
