《Transmigrating Upgrade Specialist》Chapter 37 - Zhang Wu Ji's First Treasure (3)

Holding the Crystal Surgeon Knife +5 in his hand, the knife shines brightly like it was a lit LED light. The shine pierced through his skin, showing a pinkish red flesh of his hand holding the knife. But his intention to hold this knife is not for fun but in order to collect as much Cyanide as he could.
Luckily, he brought quite an amount of bottle gourd to collects the borax, this he transfers all the pills on him into the Bottle Gourd before he arranged the Jade Bottle by his side. The reason was simple. Cyanide is an extremely volatile liquid, which is why he was having a headache for being unsure on how he can extract the Cyanide perfectly from such a big mass of water.
It will be pointless for him to do anything except starting to collect as much cyanide as he could while waiting for Tang Yuan's arrival. He expects this guy might bring over 100 Slave Disciples over for his simple summon, but that's fine. A help from a hundred people can make thing faster, especially when this Tian Village is in need of a quick changeover.
Suffering this disaster might be an unfortunate incident for them. But amongst the misfortune, a person such as Zhang Wu Ji actually appeared at this village to save it, was a good thing. Perhaps if Zhang Wu Ji was here before the disaster happened, their fate will be sealed by destruction, but since the fate brought Zhang Wu Ji here to inspect this matter, they can only pray to the gods and thanked them for their kindness.
Although the water in the whole lake wasn't a living patient, it was categorized as one, because the water is poisoned. By slicing the surface of the water, a pungent smell that caused a person to feel nauseous were gathered all over on the blade. Before the gathered Cyanide liquid gathered enough to form a perfect drop, Zhang Wu Ji makes a swift movement to lift the Crystal Surgeon Knife higher to allow the whole Jade bottle to enter the gap and allowed the Cyanide Liquid to drips into it.
He repeated the procedure as many time before the others arrived, but after the first three Jade bottle is filled, the process to fill the fourth is a third slower. This little change hits his curiosity as he filled another Jade Bottle to inspect the solution within the bottle.
0.06mg Cyanide Concentration Liquid in Jade Bottle
Usage: Pesticide, Gold Mining. Concentration too low to affect human, but long period consumption will cause organ and oxygen processing failure.
Durability: -/-
"It dropped by 0.01mg, but the concentration is gathering a third slower. Does a large amount of water affects the speed of the collection?" Zhang Wu Ji made his initial guess, but soon, he noticed that the water flowing down the river will go past three falls before they entered the irrigation channel designed and assembled by the villagers. Using the advantages of the smaller Irrigation Channel, Zhang Wu Ji quickly returned to the area and run his tricks.
"The water from the river did not flow into their village, but it was collected using this water mill to redirect the water from the river straight into the village! Why didn't I notice that?" Zhang Wu Ji quickly reaches the spot where the resident is still busy moving the water collected by the water mill back to their village.
"Stop! Throw away all the water! Empty all the tanks and send villagers out to forage fruits with high sugar content! I will help you all to cure this disease! Until the people from the Seven Star Sect is here, nobody is to drink or use any water that comes from the river directly! I will remove the poison in the water before allowing them to be distributed!" Zhang Wu Ji stopped the others from continuing to carry the water back.

At the same time, because of his words, the villagers quickly throw away the water the moment they heard the word [Poison]. Some of the villagers immediately returned to the village to inform everyone about the Master Senior's instruction, and very soon, the water in the village's well, jars, boiling pot, and others were all thrown before they carried their containers to where the Water Mill is located.
With the help of three villagers, Zhang Wu Ji treated the water by removing the content of the Cyanide inside the water completely before he allows the villagers to collect and use the water. But before they started, every single villager took the water home under his instruction to clean themselves first before eating and drinking. All of their belonging is washed to remove the remnants of poison still remained in their clothing.
"The quality of the water indeed becomes better." the villagers that used to suffer hair loss is the first to notice the differences. The number of fallen hair is reduced further, and the itchiness on their scalp is gone from using the water.
Soon, the water stores in the village are replenished. And at the same time, Tang Yuan's group of people is here with over a hundred carts pulled on their way over here. Inside the carts are shovels and hoes, also some heavy duty tools that sufficient for them to turn the village upside down. Under Zhang Wu Ji's instruction, the group of Slave Disciple heads to the direction of the lake, along with a few carts of different materials.
"Unfortunately, I have no other method except temporary using the modern filtration system to filter the water. Perhaps in the future, I can create my own electricity and chlorine to purify their water source." Zhang Wu Ji was apologetic to the villagers because no matter how amazing is his system, he still faces difficulties to properly control the amount of cyanide poison inside the lake.
But one thing for sure, the concentration of Cyanide inside of the water is getting lesser. In his estimation, as long he continues this method for another short period of time, he will be able to clear the cyanide poisoning affecting this water source. But his interest in looking for the main water channel did not lessen.
Using the machine previously used by the deceased Blacksmith Department Elder to ground the charcoal into tiny pellets, Zhang Wu Ji created a gigantic water filter that gave the river their first filtration before they went further to the direction of the village. First, he shortened the width where the water from the lake flows, creating a much narrower gap to force the water to come down from a redirected channel.
Second, the bigger rocks scattered around them was cut into a fine piece of blocks before they were arranged nicely like a churning mill and two fish net is thrown inside to prevent the finer gravels to flow outwards. They continued with placing the fine charcoal sand inside, before placing some sand used for certain construction, and layered them with a few layers of textile material, to prevent everything inside to went out of the water filtration channel he crafted.
The only thing that was less satisfying is the filtration system he made is consist of a few parts, which he face difficulties to upgrade them. Although the filter might work better than he expected, this was the first time he felt slightly helpless in his bidding to conduct a goodwill at other people.
[Note: Zhang Wu Ji's upgrade were only applicable at item touchable by hand, one unit at a time. This is why he was powerless to upgrade thing like sand, gravels, but it was fine to upgrade bottled water. As for the fertilizer, he was upgrading last time, it came in a size of a tennis ball, which was to be put on the soil by the side of the plants.]

"Master Senior, what do we need to do now?" a hundred helpers asked.
"half of you return to help them in managing their farms. Another half will help me to prepare the water suitable to water their farm. After everything is done, we will come back to this water source, I want to look for their main water channel to see where is the water came from. Perhaps from this, we can increase the yield of their crops."
"This means, our food in the Sect is going to become even luxurious, do you all get my meaning?" Zhang Wu Ji convinced them that by helping these people in advancing their initial agriculture skills, the return will come back to them in the future. As in this case, it was better edible meals. And they have to remember that this effort is still a paid employment, they still getting paid to help.
They work day and night, until three days later.
Because all of the work the hundred helpers and villagers, their farm transformed into a brand new appearance. Luckily, the edible food source such as vegetables, fruits, and also roots grow very easily, especially when they were given with a new plot of land that was recently plowed.
With over ten different kinds of plants and fruits, Zhang Wu Ji' responsibility in helping this village is finally over. He now only has one more unfinished aim staying in this village for so long.
To Look for the Main Source of this lake!
With the concentration of the Cyanide inside of the water is only 0.01mg left, it was similar to a normal river water with a slightly higher content of Cyanide. Zhang Wu Ji felt it was safe for him to dive into the lake, thus he undress, leaving only a layer of the thin robe as he dives deeper into the lake. Luckily, it was still afternoon, and the depth of the lake is roughly 20 meters, allowing the sunlight to shine into the lake and illuminates the waterbed.
He searched their surroundings and found nothing useful except some leftover trash, two set of intact human bones, and some gold coins inside, which might be thrown into the lake for fun. But the results of his diving is still the same. He found nothing inside the lake.
"This is impossible! Without a water channel, where did the water supply came from?" the question haunts his mind as he continues to search for their surrounding. It was until nightfall, a dim light of blue came out from a gap hidden behind of the rocks.
Zhang Wu Ji went to inspect the location, and the closer he swims to the dim light, the clearer it becomes. When he reaches the blue light, he noticed that the previous wall formed by soil and rock has vanished, turning into an opened cave with gentle water flowing through.
"What in the world is this miraculous occurrence?" what happened obtained his attention, as he entered the cave without any obstruction from inside of the cave. It doesn't take him too long to reach the small chamber, where only a piece of shining crystal around the size of an ostrich egg is seated.
Whenever the moonlight flashes through the tree on top of this chamber, water will be created from the crystal as they flood the room and flow into the cave and become one with the lake. This repeated for many times, until the sunrise. Unexpectedly, the flow of the water continues. It works even during sunrise, no wonder the water source from this lake continues for so many generations.
"I wonder what is the blue crystal..." Zhang Wu Ji places his hand on the blue crystal, but there wasn't a description came out in his sight. It was weird, so he unconsciously scratches his head before he repeated the process again.
"Weird!"
"Why is there no reactions at all?" Zhang Wu Ji inspects his ability by touching other things, but those item descriptions came out instead. He then went to touch the crystal again, but again there were no reactions. This means his system is not gone, but it might be too weak to inspect this treasure.
Disappointed, he turned around and prepare to leave, but then, Zhang Wu Ji noticed another smaller gravel-sized blue stone under the water. He placed his hand into the water to grab that piece of blue stone. The moment he touches the stone, a description came out.
Grain of Water Sapphire
-Usage 1: Produce unlimited water source of 100ml every hour. Effect doubled when the Water Sapphire received the blessing from Sunlight and Moonlight.
-Usage 2: When used in smelting, allows the weapon to carry one additional special ability and also maintain the ability of the Water Sapphire.
-Usage 3: Water created from the Water Sapphire is the eleventh purest water source in the Qing Long Realm.
-Durability: 190/190
"What the hell? did I just picked up a precious treasure out of luck?" Zhang Wu Ji quickly search the bottom of the cave in case there was any more of the Grains of Water Sapphire is hidden, but after he adjusted the whole ground, he found nothing.
If he knows that the grain is something that will only appear once in a hundred thousand years, how would he think?
Zhang Wu Ji left the cave without feeling that he lose something. The natural occurrence is amazing, like how big is the crystal sat nicely inside of the cave. This kind of blessing is something the heaven blessed the people of the Tian Village so it would be unforgivable for him to rob this wealth from them.
He returned to the Tian Village and noticed that everyone is busy with the farming works, in a short period of three days, he turned this piece of dying land into a blessing, allowing more and more plants to be grown here. Although the threat from the cyanide is still there, he already cleans most of them and created a filter for the sake of filtering one more layer of the water before they flow through the Tian Village.
A work has to be done adequately, but not overboard. By filtering the water in their first waterfall, it removes the concentration of cyanide inside the lake water before they were allowed to flow at the second waterfall. The oxygenation process from the water flow will allow the water to carry their healthy nutrients as they reach the Tian Village.
Then, the water will be used to water the plants or for many kinds of human usage.
With his initial task is completed, Zhang Wu Ji spends one more night in this Tian Village before he left in the next morning. The Village Chief wanted to present him with some gift before they left, but because of their own trouble, they have no precious treasure that worth presenting to the Senior Master.
One of the villagers did try to match their daughter with Zhang Wu Ji, but out of his own respect, Zhang Wu Ji politely rejects that by mentioning that he wished to spend more time in cultivation, and not thinking too much about the human relationship. Plus in his heart, Guan Qing Han's position does take a large chunk inside.
He left the Tian Village and ride the Iron Scale Bull straight into the Ren Village, where this village main produce is wine and dried foods such as mushrooms, meat jerky, and salted vegetables. Here, there wasn't any matter that needs him to be bothered, so after a night, he heads straight into the Yun Village and reaches there after three more days.
After sleeping for a night in the Yun Village, Zhang Wu Ji followed his guide as they climb the mountain and for the first time, he saw the rumored Salt Mountain. From afar, the smell of heavy concentration of mountain salt spreads in the air and entered his nose.
"Master Senior, I hope this helps." under Zhang Wu Ji's request, the guide took a whole night to search for a wooden cart that is good enough for Zhang Wu Ji to store all the Bottle Gourds he purchased from the Ren Village before coming over.
With all his preparation is completed, Zhang Wu Ji head to the Salt Mountain to search for his important component, the Melting Crystal or also known as "Borax" in his previous world.
The path climbing up the mountain is easy, but the process to harvest the Melting Crystals is difficult. Because of the restriction from his system, Zhang Wu Ji can only try to procure those solid blocks of crystals and not those grains on the ground. With the cart, he can stack the blocks of crystal he found first before he looks for a place to ground them into powders.
The overall process is not difficult, but the only difficulties are on looking for the crystal blocks and the process to ground them into powder. Without himself noticing, Zhang Wu Ji spent three days on the Salt Mountain to completely filled all the Bottle Gourds in his hand before he heading back to the Seven Star Sect.
"My pile of works is going to increase more and more!" Zhang Wu Ji shouts. When he thought about the new batch of Yin Ling Fruit and Taixia Condensed Dew, Zhang Wu Ji sighed because his workload is increasing more and more, until he barely has time to process them into a complete product.
Although he a millionaire at this moment, it doesn't mean he has enough people to assist him in many matters. In fact, a lot of his task was delegates to the others, but at the end of the process, it will still depend on him to make the last adjustment.
Entering the Seven Star Sect, he returned to his courtyard, and this time, it was much tidier compared to before. The Mineral Ores that were stacked outside of his courtyard is gone, and the pile of newly harvested herbs is neatly arranged in his Pill Making Room.
As for the Blacksmithing Room, a pile of half completed the eight materials also neatly arranged on the few shelves that were used to store the metal ingots and blocks. Seeing such a tidy arrangement in both of his most used room, Zhang Wu Ji only can praise them with a single sentence.
"Fu*king Good Job!"

Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**

Soon they're involved in something larger and more dangerous than they ever wanted. What happens next, you'll find out when you read. This is the first story I'm publishing here on RoyalRoad. I wanted to try this site out since it's more geared towards fantasy. I've been at Wattpad for about 2 years under the same name, but since I'm not writing romance I haven't gotten much steam there. This is my latest story, and it's also published on Wattpad in the book called Short Stories. I wanted to start with something new and unfinished here. I'll try and update at least once every other week, sometimes more often. ~RiisingNovels
