In a large forest, a small bright-red hummingbird was sitting on his butt on a thick branch, watching the sun set over the trees. The other weird thing about this bird except for sitting on his butt was that it was holding one of it's wings under it's beak, seemingly contemplating something.
'How the hell did I end up in this situation?!' Thought Blake as he sat on the branch. Blake was a normal, 20 years old young man and just yesterday he was fine even though he pulled an all-nighter two times in a row in order to finish his work for school. Now that he thought about it though he probably just figured out the cause of his death, and thus his reincarnation.
'BUT, what the heck is this? Wasn't I supposed to reincarnate into some sickly poor boy or some hated young master? Why did I end up turning into a freaking bird? You know, I wanted to lose my innocence one day, but this...' As the small hummingbird closed its' eyes, a small tear rolled down its feathered cheek.
"Chirp, chirp." Trying to talk for the Xth time today, he slowly started to accept that he turned into a bird and that it was probably a permanent change.
The only good thing about this change was that a short while after he started despairing, he heard a somewhat fuzzy voice in his head telling him that when he is ready, things will get explained to him properly.
At that time, he wasn't really thinking straight so he only remembered this now and as such, he immediately called out in his mind angrily, 'Hey, could you start explaining now?'
[Understood. First, let me start with an apology. You were meant to reincarnate into the body of that unfortunate boy below, but an error occured and you were instead sent into the body of the small Humming Beast that died right next to him]

'Huh?' It was only at this moment that Blake realised that below the branch on the ground a human body was planted face-down in the dirt.

After hearing this, the Blake's eyes started sparkling and he went on to check his new ability.
