《The Aether Universe》Chapter 22

When he controlled the darkness, it felt 'thicker' and more 'full'. It also in lack of a better word, made his darkness 'darker' to the point that even someone with night vision would have a problem seeing through it.
He was thankful for what the weird entity had given him, but he hoped that this power didn't have any downsides that could hurt him in the long run.
Dispelling the darkness in the room that had made it pitch black, the room slowly lit up as the lamp regained its light unbothered by the darkness. Looking outside, Tai noticed that it was nighttime now and the moon or should he say moons as there wasn't just one moon the sky, there were multiple of varying shapes and sizes.
Since it was night, and he had completed what he wanted to do for the day, Tai decided to go to sleep, but before he slept, he opened up his status to spend his points.
Level: 169 Health: 1500/1500 Mana: 130/130 Ki: 1145/1145 Chakra: 806/806 Strength: 79(+) Dexterity: 50(+) Endurance: 150(+) Intelligence: 13(+) Status Points: 31
31 points, that was a lot. Using 21 points, and leaving him with only 10 points left, he brought his total strength stat to 100, giving him a new skill.
You have gained a new skill: Enhanced Strength
Due to your strength reaching 100, you have gained a new skill allowing you to add more strength to your attacks
+1 status point
Receiving another status point, he now had 11 points which he allocated all of it to his dexterity stat bringing it up to 61.
Finished spending his points, Tai laid down on the bed, closing his eyes as he slowly dozed off to sleep.

Waking up the next morning, Tai took a quick morning shower and got dressed as he went to where his mom worked to eat some breakfast.

Now that he was in a new city, he missed Shin's food, but he didn't mind much as food was just food and there was always something better.
Arriving at the restaurant, his mother saw him instantly and hugged him. "Good morning!" she said in a cheery tone, kissing him on the cheek.
"Morning," he replied, returning the hug as she released him from her embrace and allowing him to sit down.
Tai picked a small table for two since all the tables had a minimum of two chairs so he just picked what looked like the smallest one as he was only eating by himself.
"What can I get for you, sir?" his mom said, joking around and giggling a bit.
"I'll take 10 plates of bacon and eggs, please," he replied, laughing with his mom.
"10 plates?! Are you sure that isn't a bit too much?" his mom asked. Like a normal mother, she worried if eating that much would be healthy for her son.
"Yes, mom. Don't worry. I have a fast metabolism now so if I ate what I usually ate before then I might die from not having enough nutrients, not to mention I'd probably lose a lot of weight."
"I see..." Hearing that, her mom felt a bit better and gladly wrote down his order as she wouldn't want her son to be underfed, or die. "Will that be all?"
Tai nodded. Over the past few days, he had gotten used to his large appetite, but in the last city that he was in, there was a person that ate way more than him.
This person also wasn't weak and ate way more than his body weight. If Tai had to guess, they probably had a skill that was related to eating or food. A lot of models would probably want that skill as it gave them the ability to eat whatever they want without gaining any weight.

Tai's mom nodded and went to the kitchen, giving the order to the chef, leaving him all by himself.
While waiting, Tai decided to have a bit of fun with his powers. He had the skill Absolute Darkness which encompasses an area and makes it pitch black, but while that was good for him, it wasn't the best for team-play as his companions would also be blind unless they had a skill similar to his night-vision or good senses.
So instead of covering an entire area with darkness, what if he just covered the eyes of his enemies? Obviously, he wouldn't just go around casting Absolute Darkness on nearby people, so he experimented by just using it on a lightbulb, and the experiment was a success.
The darkness surrounded the lightbulb and didn't allow any light to pass through, so it would probably work if he used it on someone's eyes. The only problem was, he needed to constantly know where that person was, so if the person was invisible, or he couldn't detect them, then this technique wouldn't work and he'd have to use it in the area around him which he didn't mind.
After a good 30-minutes of waiting, his mom came back with some plates and placed them on his table. "There's still 3 more to go, so here's 7 to eat until they are done," she said, smiling.
"Thanks for the food," Tai thanked her before digging into his food.
The food was good and he enjoyed the taste of the bacon with the eggs. Tai didn't know if the chef was a robot, or a human, or some alien, but whatever it was, they were good.
There was also a nice, big glass of water if he was thirsty and he could ask for refills anytime.
By the time Tai had finished the 7 plates of bacon and egg, the chef had finished cooking the rest of his order and his mom came back with 3 more plates, shocked to see the 7 plates finished so fast.
"Slow down, you don't want to choke on your food," she said as she placed the plates on his table, and took the empty plates into the kitchen to wash.

Greg Veder vs The World
The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a villain-infested, crime-filled city like Brockton Bay, treating life like a game can get you killed. It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life. (Worm/The Gamer AU)

Re:Mento Mori
When Ryuji, a disgruntled salaryman, is supposed to reach an unfortunate end, he is instead thrust into a new world, inhabiting a body that isn't his own. Forced into a world filled with strife and death, can he claim freedom and happiness? Or will his turbulent new life only lead to suffering and pain? As with every time-loop story written by an amateur author, this is heavily inspired by Re:Zero. If I had to explain my book, I would say imagine Re:Zero, but the main character can actually fight people instead of just getting merked every time he meets someone with a weapon. The themes of this story are dark, so be forewarned. This is my first story so keep that in mind while reading it.
