《The 8th Day》Back to Work....

I finally got my apology from one of the Admins (who wanted to point out that they're not Mods, as I kept incorrectly using that term) for all the brouhaha that came up last week. I'm not one to hold a grudge; I try to give everyone a second chance. They offered an olive branch, apologized, and I accepted.
Some readers thought I was dropping my work for good (even though I tried to point out several times that I was just taking a break from the story here to cool down somewhat and not let my emotions taint my work). I can assure you guys, I was not. Am not. Did not.
I simply took a break to give things time to calm and settle, so I didn't do something I'd regret later with my story. That's it. At the worst, I was simply going to move over to a new site to host my works, and continue writing there. I've put too much work into my little saga to stop anytime soon with it. As I've said from the beginning, it's got a loooooong way to go until conclusion.
One thing that has changed will probably be how often I release updates for The 8th Day now. While trying to keep my mind away from the issues which had arisen and surrounded this little tale, I actually feel in love and got wrapped up in Winter's Tale. What was at first nothing more than a distraction, has now taken a good portion of my interest. I'm having a lot of fun writing in it and creating both a separate virtual world and a real world, at the same time. (It's also told in 3rd person narrative, which honestly I prefer as a personal writing style. The 8th Day is set in 1st person so we only see the world through a single character's eyes. It's a deliberate tool to limit what the reader is exposed to. Winter's Tale is 3rd person, and much friendly for multiple viewpoints and such. )

Honestly, I'm simply having a lot of fun at the moment, working on the other tales of mine as well. :D
No longer will The 8th Day be getting multiple daily releases. It's not something I'm dropping; but it will be staggered between releases in the other story as well now. I'm back at work on the story once more, and updates will be coming soon. They just won't be the sole focus of my attention any longer.
The 8th Day is back in production. It just shares a rotation of updates with The Fallen Ascending and Winter's Tale now, instead of holding primary focus of my attention. ;)

Story: Forever After
This is a story that spanned for eons. Through a series of misfortune, Ryner turned into an immortal creature that has lived for hundreds of thousands of years. Not bound to one world, he saw war and peace, love and hate, magic and science. The man started as a parentless child only to grow into a powerful and shunned monster. Despite the physical and mental scars, he still fights on. He still fights Alice, his fellow, insane monster and for their own reasons, they kill each other. The two wage brutal wars in the form of a “death game” that Ryner managed to force Alice into playing. After his latest win against her, he decides to go on a vacation. As such, he inserts himself in a seemingly normal world to enjoy a brief moment of peace and quiet. This is where the story starts, not at the beginning, but near the end. Instead of resting like a lazy tourist, problems pop up one after another. Eventually, Alice ceases to be his only or biggest concern. This is the story of a man who stubbornly walks down a road of madness. This is the story of how a tortured soul struggles, lives and fights. WARNING MATURE CONTENT: gore, sexual content, some disturbing themes Note: Sexual content will be posted as side stories, separated from the main plot. (Will add tags as story progresses)

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
