Feng Yun was powerless to stop the ensuing annoyance that was soon to occur. At this point in time, he had no control over his Void aura and thus it did not change its trajectory according to Feng Yun's will. It was as if it the Void element had broken off from his degree of control.
Feng Yun was shocked at this unexpected development that was occurring. The bad premonition that he had before was only increasing and his fear was growing as well. He quickly gave a low shout, fusing Yuan Energy and calling upon the power of his incomparably strong soul to try to draw the Void aura back to his body. All his attempts were futile as it did not change direction. In fact, it merely halted for a moment before breaking away from the pull.
"Stop!" Feng Yun was trying desperately and his face was drawn in all kinds of lines with a tight frown. The Void aura arrived right next to the Ensealing Cloudvine Symbol and released a terrifying pressure. The symbol in defense released its own pressure, and an exuberant Earth elemental energy to try to combat the looming danger before it. The struggle lasted for a few moments before the Void aura expanded and formed a giant circle around the symbol. The Ensealing Cloudvine Symbol was swallowed in to the black Void and no elemental energy could be felt emanating from the symbol.
Feng Yun's lips dropped down and a faint trace of sorrow appeared on his face. After a little moment, the Void aura dispersed from the object. All that was left was just the regular form of the symbol. There was no elemental energy of Earth coming from it. There was no power coming from it. All there was was just a piece of rock. Feng Yun's eyebrows twitched for a moment before saying,
"God...fucking...DAMN IT!" He injected his Yuan Energy into his fists and smashed them down upon the earth covering the rock that was once the Ensealing Cloudvine Symbol. The rock was instantly shattered to pieces and as for the ground around it, there was a large crater left. The Void aura was still lingering around and still had not returned to Feng Yun's body. He glared hatefully at it and thought, if this thing had a personality, I swear it would be laughing. Feng Yun had no way to explain what had just happened and needed information. He sent a mental message to the Void Universal Manual.
"WARDEN! You were watching right? Explain what happened, now!" Feng Yun was in a state of fury and absolutely needed to know why this was happening. He had just lost a source of valuable combat power and another means of survival. Strictly speaking, he was pissed off. The return message came shortly after.

"Pfft. Sorry, yeah I've been watching. Kid you chose a really bad time to find a treasure or something of importance. This point in time, well, if we were to put it simply, it's Devouring Season for the Void Element." Warden seemed incomparably relaxed, as if this was totally normal to him. This infuriated Feng Yun quite a bit. Did Warden treat this as a joke?
"What the hell do you mean by...Devouring Season?"
"Basically, there is a period of time where the Void Element needs to devour something. That is its unique property after all. During this period of time, the Void Element will eat anything with elemental energy. The more elemental energy it gets the better. After it has devoured enough, it will stabilize and it will be pretty strong. You will also be able to control it better." Feng Yun seemed enlightened. So this was the reason? Then, his expression darkened as he realized something else.
"Why the hell did you not tell me this before? If you had told me before, I could have at least prepared for it!"
"Well, Master told me not to. He said it was part of your growth. That you can't rely on so much treasures and abilities to survive. Though, he actually started laughing while he said this so I guess he wasn't really that serious." Feng Yun erupted in fury. This bastard! Once he reached a powerful enough realm, he had to go find this "Master" and beat his ass to the ground.
"How long will this period last?" He quickly calmed down and asked the most pressing question.
"Well, it has been absorbing elemental energy from your soul as well as the outside so it shouldn't be long. That Truth Artifact of your sped up the process. I can guarantee you that by the end of this Devouring Season, the process will be over. If you happen to encounter any other powerful sources of elemental energy however, the process will be even quicker!"
"Is this the same with the other three elements as well?"
"Eh, not really. Each of the true creation elements have their own ways of stabilizing, and the other three are a bit stranger than the method for the Void Element.
"Whatever, I'll get to that point when I find them. I'm in quite a bad mood right now. Oi, how strong is this "Master" of yours? I need to know how powerful I need to be in order to beat him." The Warden's voice dropped a level and had a serious tone in response to this question.
"Unfathomable. Completely and utterly unfathomable. Kid, if I told you that I was over a million times stronger than you in everything, then my Master is probably millions of times stronger than me in everything. That's the distance." Feng Yun was shocked. He was this powerful?
"But don't worry about it to much. From what I have seen, you possess more talent than Master had when he was younger. You should be able to reach his level a bit faster than he did." This comment made Feng Yun a bit more relieved and happy. It could be said that his number one goal in life was to punch this guy in the face, aside from becoming powerful as a cultivator of course.

Feng Yun exited his mental conversation and viewed his surroundings. It felt as if the atmosphere was dry of elemental energy and that they were all being sucked up until they were only regular plants. Even their bright colors had dimmed a little. However, the good thing was that the Void Element had re entered his body and into his soul once more. Feng Yun nodded his head with satisfaction. It could be said that this thing had cost him some precious power. His previous glee when he first obtained the Void Element had waned down quite a bit and he wasn't willing to use it excessively anymore. Not that he used it much anyways.
He was still in a bad mood from losing the artifact so he decided to take it out on something. Feng Yun thought of a good idea.
"Heh, you want elemental energy? I'll give you a whole forest's worth of it!"" Feng Yun walked back to the camp and told the rest of his battalion that he was going hunting. Xia Qing was busy cultivating to try to break into the third layer of the Xiantian Realm. She was at an incredibly crucial moment in her training and it was best that she not be disturbed. Otherwise, she would normally just come with him to hunt. They mostly stuck close together. After all, they knew each other the most and they only had each other to rely on.
Feng Yun left the compound and towards the forest that was a mile or two from civilization. Thinking about it a bit more, he decided to go for a bit longer. This distance is where most of the strong level beasts would congregate. However, they were all of the Xiantian Realm and thus weren't too much of a problem. Only if they were at the later stages would they pose a threat to Feng Yun. The main reason for Feng Yun leaving the compound to go hunt was so that he could let the Void aura stabilize a bit quicker and at the same time...get some dinner.
With his speed, it didn't take very long to reach a desolate forest safe enough to exercise the strength of the Void Element without being found by the other members of the Death Singer Mercenaries. Feng Yun surveyed the area from the top of a cliff, hoping to see heavy signs of beasts. He found a pretty good spot after about fifteen minutes and headed over there.
While, walking in the forest, Feng Yun kept the Void Element hidden in his body. He didn't want beasts running from him immediately after realizing what a dangerous presence he contained. Beasts of the Xiantian Realm were fairly smart. They would not engage in combat mindlessly. They would act only if they had the ability to. Therefore, in addition to his hiding of the Void Element, his age also played a very useful part in attracting beasts. Beasts, no matter how careful they were, would let down their guard when seeing a child. What child could retaliate against them at the age of only twelve years old? Feng Yun arrived at the destination he had set after searching for a bit.
In front of him was a large nest made out of sticks and thick wood logs, obviously having been gathered recently. Feng Yun looked around to see whether there was any beast around but had not noticed any sign of it. He did not let down his guard however, and cautiously approached the nest. With a burst of Yuan Energy, he jumped atop the nest and looked down to see the inside. What he saw was quite surprising! There were five eggs inside the nest and all of them were green in color. They were quite large as well, more than half the height of Feng Yun himself. It must be said that Feng Yun at his current height was 1.7 meters. If the birds in the eggs were born successfully, they would start off with a height about half of Feng Yun's. Unfortunately for them, they were going to be used as dinner for Feng Yun. He had no mercy when it came to the unborn birds.
Feng Yun resolved himself to take the eggs and leave for dinner but he wasn't that in a hurry to leave yet. Judging from the looks of these eggs, they should belong to a Green Fanged Eagle! The Green Fanged Eagle were incredibly extraordinary creatures with strong cultivation once they have matured and a fierce killing intent. A fully matured Green Scaled Eagle would have the cultivation of the sixth level of the Xiantian Realm. Their blood was said to have great properties as it could enhance the body and gave cultivators a higher chance of breaking through to the next level in their respective realm. This blood was useful to most cultivators under the Tyrant and Truth Realms. If employed by a Xiantian Realm cultivator, the benefits were high. Feng Yun had been able to tell the identity of the eggs from a single glance. He had read virtually the whole library of the Cloudscale Sect and an excellent memory. He knew a great deal of many things.
"Since a Green Fanged Eagle is present in this desolate forest, it would be impolite of me to steal its eggs without fighting over it! I shall wait for this eagle to come and kill it. By receiving its blood, breaking through to the fourth layer in one go is easy." Like that, Feng Yun sat down in a meditative pose in the center of the nest, calmly waiting for his inevitable opponent.

Magriculture
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is, at best, a very rough draft. I have already had to do one major rewrite and several minor rewrites of entire sections of the story, and it is a virtual certainty I will have to do re-writes again. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will.Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If your looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
