《I Will Be Recognized》65. Seeing Green

After checking my body for injuries last night, they sent me back to the guest room. I was half expecting them to disclose some information about the intruder but they told me off saying it was none of my business, which I had to admit was true.
Knowing that they had cameras everywhere, I decided to actually sleep instead of circulating my mana. It could be considered lucky that I didn't Dual Cultivate.
—7 hours later—
"Wake up Daniel!" I obviously woke up from that.
The first thing I saw upon waking was Rachel pouncing on top of me...
Uh, what?
After staring at Rachel who was in a beautiful see through(as you can see, the author is very horny) morning dress for a couple seconds, I shouted. "Get the f*ck off me! This is a child friendly web novel, not an ecchi anime!"
'Sorry but yours truly is not interested in antagonizing the FBI even in another world.'
"Wake up! It's almost time for breakfast!" The shout brought me back to reality.
'Wait what? Rachel was actually standing next to me the whole time? Was I hallucinating or was I dreaming?'
It must have been the pent up backlash from not sleeping for a couple months. But if I truly dreamed about Rachel on top of me... I stopped myself from continuing that train of thought. We were friends, I couldn't do that unless I went insane. No matter how fantastical of a world this was, fantasy should stay a fantasy.
"Alright, I got it." I said while getting out the bed.
I must say, that was the best sleep I ever had. Was it because of the quality of the bed or was it because I had almost forgotten what it felt like to sleep. Either way, it felt great, maybe I should consider sleeping more frequently.
I took off my top and as I was about to take off my pajama pants and change, I realized something.
"Are you gonna get out?" I said, looking at the only other person in the room.

'Oy, why are you drooling? Stop it will you, my body isn't even remotely similar to a K-pop idol.'
As if finally noticing the situation, she cuffed her hand on her mouth, gave a light cough, and finally gave me some privacy. Although I say privacy, recalling that there was a hidden camera somewhere in this room sent shivers down my spine.
After getting dressed, I realized that I had no idea where the washroom or even the bathroom was so I asked Rachel and she guided me.
Now that I thought of it, I didn't take a shower yesterday. I must be smelly. Entering the bathroom, I realized that there wasn't a bathtub or any place to wash up.
After washing my hair at the sink with hand soap and brushing my teeth, I took a quick number one(urinating) and got out. Disturbingly, Rachel was waiting directly outside the bathroom door.I ignored it and we went downstairs for breakfast.
As we walked down, I asked her about bathing or showering rooms and she told me that she would bring me later. Now that I thought of it, why was she the one waking me up and guiding me around? Wasn't she doing the job of a servant? I disregarded it before since I was a bit light headed from waking up. If she really wanted to do this, I honestly didn't mind since it was much more comforting to talk with someone I already knew than a complete stranger.
—6 hours later—
After having a bit of an early lunch, Mr. Dean brought us to the "private portal."
Of course, Rachel tagged along with me for some reason even though I told her it would be fine if I visited my parents alone. In the end, she dragged me off to train with her during my time at her mansion. She had also yet to show me a place to take a shower. I was genuinely scared that if she came with me, she would force me to train with her all day.
"Alright then, are you two ready?" Said Mr. Dean.

"Yes." We both replied.
"I'll explain this just one more time. When Leon asks you to touch the panel and think of the place you want to go, which is your village, do it." He pointed at the man with the deadpan face in a butler suit.
I nodded in compliance.
The guy he pointed to, Leon, signaled to us to come over.
We went over and after clicking a few buttons, Leon instructed me to touch the panel like Mr. Dean said.
When I touched the panel, I found it much harder to focus.
"Concentrate. Tell me when you can visualize it." He said.
Visualize... Well if it's just visualizing my home, I already did it.
"Done." I said.
He quickly tapped a button and pulled my hand off the panel. It was extremely quick and even though it was the summer, his hand felt as cold as metal. I nudged it off as a small detail and went up to the portal formation like he told.
Instead of going to the direct center, we stood to the side.
"When it appears, just head in. Alright, 3. 2. 1. Opening."
Unlike the normal portals that I was used to, this formation did not create any sort of blinding light. Instead, at the dead center floating just a metre above the formation was a purple oval.
"Go, now!" Leon shouted.
I went in through the portal on his command. It felt no different from walking normally. Even with my eyes opened, all I saw was purple. The purple that enveloped my eyes soon cleared away and I saw a completely new scenery.
'Where the f*ck is this supposed to be?'
I looked around. This was nowhere near my village. There were large and dense green trees everywhere and the ground was just dirt, no grass at all. Just where the h*ll did that bastard send us? I just knew there was something up with him.
As I turned around ready to go back through the portal, Rachel came flying out for some reason. She knocked me down onto the forest ground and I was forced to watch the portal slowly shrinking out of existence.
'F*ck.'
—Ross's PoV—
"Have they been sent to Daniel's Village yet?" I asked Dean.
"Yes master. Last night, there was an unexpected intruder. We were unable to catch him but we found this in the device that was set up on the roof." Dean passed over a sheet of metal.
A silver gear? Wasn't this the symbol of the Gib Family? Why did they invade this area? It just didn't add up. We weren't exactly political enemies, so why?
"May I request that we allocate all our forces into investigating this incident?" He asked.
"Very well." I said with a small sigh.
Now that that was over with, I looked Dean in the eyes. "Did you find anything."
He similarly looked me seriously in the eyes. "Originally, we found nothing too strange apart from him being in an advanced sophomore Formation Class and him being bad at fighting. But, just last night. I found something that not even you would believe without seeing it. Because of how utterly impossible it was, I decided to keep it a secret so only I knew."
"What is it?" I asked.
"The recording is in the Control Room."
"Bring me."
...
"Stop." Ross told Dean
Dean paused the screen and Ross brought his face closer to look at the dark monitor.
"Interesting. The one person I least expected. The winner of this year's Magic Tournament." Said Ross.
"HAHA, interesting, very interesting. To think this was his true identity. So he is Hiro." He said.
"Master, how do you suggest we handle this?" Dean asked.
"Nothing, absolutely nothing. He must have a reason to keep his identity concealed even though he could gain indefinite fame from announcing that he was the winner. Treat him like normal, I look forward to what he can become." Ross said with a big, fat, grin.
