-Run!! The Fire’s Here!!-

The men inched closer to the frightened girl, relishing in the feeling of her fear. It was like an aphrodisiac to them, making them even more excited than before. These men had a little background. They belonged to an underground cult that believed in some devil. They believed that these dungeons were made by a very powerful devil, who will one day, conquer the world.

This cult was the biggest headache for the governments and many guilds. They had a penchant for causing mass massacres and cannibalism. In a nutshell, this cult was made by a group of people, who were realizing their inner devil in the name of a devil.

This particular group targetted only little girls. They would kidnap little girls and bring them to some abandoned place. Then they would perform atrocious deeds on them, later eating them. These people were, simply, too far gone and couldn’t be called a human anymore. They had forsaken their humanity since long ago.

Today, they were sent by their boss to explore this dungeon. While doing so, by luck, they came across two little girls. The moment they saw them, they couldn’t stop themselves. Thinking that they had got a meal for the night, they approached the girls. Showing, a kind attitude, they instantly gained these naïve girls’ trusts.

At night, when they were tired from walking all day, they made their move. In a flash, they subdued these two girls who were many times weaker than them. Binding one to a tree nearby, they started on the other one.

First, they trampled on her dignity, trying all sort of atrocious moves on her while taking turns. Such intense actions eventually broke the poor girl’s mind. She couldn’t cope up with the physical and psychological trauma and turned into a vegetable very soon.

Even then these men didn’t leave her alone. They continued trampling on her. After getting bored of it, they used their weapons and started peeling her skin. The girl was still alive by then, only in a vegetative state. After peeling off her skin completely, they stored it somewhere and started mutilating her.

During that time, the young girl finally died. Fetching a bamboo pole, they arranged the dead girl on it and placed it atop of fire, intending to cook her and eat.

Watching all these horrifying things, the young girl felt like she was having a nightmare.

Before long her turn also came.

Closing her eyes tightly, she waited for her impending death. But, no matter how long she waited, the pain never came. Opening her eyes, she peeked at her captors. But instead of looking at her, right now they had their backs to her.

Opening her eyes wide, she saw something she had never expected. The forest, the entire forest in the distance was burning brightly. It was so bright that they can see all the way to here. Not only that, she could see that fire was rapidly spreading.

The fire was rapidly spreading and was covering the entire forest.

“What is this?”

“What the hell is this?”

“Why was there a forest fire here?”

“Shit! It's spreading rapidly!!”

The four men couldn’t help but curse at the scene. They had never expected to see a forest fire at a place like this. Which idiot had started this? They began to swear.

“Let’s run!” the leader said. He bent down and grabbed the little girl under his armpit. They four beasty men then ran towards the opposite direction of the fire.

Seeing this, the girl flailed around, trying to make these guys leave her. She would rather die than spend a second with them. Unfortunately, for her, these men were very strong. Even with she was flailing with all her strength, she was still unable to make him flinch.

The group of four men ran like the devil was behind them. The fire behind them had already reached a distance where they could feel the heat. For some reason, the fire was unusually hotter than a normal fire.

“Boss! Look!” an underling shouted while pointing ahead.

“What!!!?” the boss shouted in fright. A huge fire was in front of them. It looks even more intense than the one behind them.

“There!!” the man pointed towards a direction, and everyone followed behind him. The fire was rapidly approaching. It had already closed off two directions. From the looks of it, before long, they will be surrounded by it like a bird inside a cage.

At that time only death would await them.

“Keep quiet, girl!!” the man shouted at the flailing girl. Although she couldn’t harm him, her flailing was very annoying. Instead of keeping quiet, the girl flailed even more violently.

Getting annoyed, the boss, lifted his right hand a gave a tight slap to her buttocks. Then, he grabbed a handful of her elastic buttocks and said, “If you don’t keep quiet then I will bite off this piece of flesh!”

The girl trembled in fright at the threat and remained quiet. She didn’t want to suffer such pain and humiliation.

“Hmph! Good girl!” the man complimented her and resumed running.

As they were running, the saw a very strange sight. Burning monkeys were falling down like flies. Others were jumping around the trees, spreading the fire even more. It’s actually them, who had spread this fire to this extent!

“Fuck!! What should we do? There are these fuckers in front!” an underling shouted as he saw raining monkeys in the fire.

“Avoid, and run!” the boss commanded. They didn’t have any other way. The fire had already spread out, blocking off the path they came from. They could only move forward.

“Run! Run to the coast!!” hearing the boss’s command, the others followed and run towards the coast. The place they were in; while not particularly near the coast, it wasn’t very far either.

“AAAH!!” an underling screamed. A flaming tree branch fell on him, burning half of his face. It disfigured him quite badly.

“Taro!” another man tried to help him but was stopped by the boss. “leave him, let's run!”

The man looked at Taro, who was still rolling on the ground, trying to diffuse the fire while screaming at the top of her lings, and shook his head sadly. Then he started running. Taro and him, were childhood friends, hailing from the same orphanage.

The little girl looked at the screaming man with a satisfied gleam in her eyes. He was the person who skinned her friend alive. Serves him right!!!

The little girl was relishing in the misfortune of these vile men.

The fire was spreading rapidly, prompting the men to run even faster than before. One of them had already died, they didn't want to be the next. Increasing their speed by several folds, they resumed running. They wanted to get as far as away from here.

Similar scenes, excluding the vile acts, happening all over the island. The hunters who were inside the island for various reasons were running frantically towards the coast. The speed at which the fire was spreading was so fast that it didn’t give them any time to put it out.

They were running with everything they have while cursing the one who started all these.
