Just when the earthworm showed its ugly head, Kenshin immediately conjured a huge amount of fire and changed its shape into clamps. The clamps fell down upon the earthworm, restricting it to the ground.

The fire’s also doing it enough damage to prevent it from using its skills. Kenshin immediately used his Replication skill on it.

Like he had planned earlier, Kenshin chooses the Burrow and Child of Earth skills. As for the other two; although they were powerful, he didn’t want to have an oily skin or going around biting every enemy he sees.

That’s why they were out of the question.

But the skills he selected were not any inferior to the other two skills. In some ways, they were more useful than the other two.

Shaking his head to get rid of a headache, Kenshin adjusted his posture. Thankfully, his control over the fire clamps didn’t lose, or else he would have a more painful awakening. After clearing his head, he looked at the struggling earthworm. It was roaring and flailing all around, destroying the underground tunnel even more.

But Kenshin wasn’t afraid, with skills like Burrow and Shapeshift getting out of here unscathed was of no problem.

Thankfully he had sent all those children to retreat or else they would have caught on the crossfire.

“Let me relieve all of your pains!!” Kenshin said it as if he was a savior who wants to bring salvation to the monster. Even though, he was the cause of its pain in the first place.

Conjuring a huge amount of fire in his right hand he created a flame pillar. With just a shake of his hand; he sent it flying towards the monster. The massive flame pillar flew towards the monster at a breakneck speed before engulfing it in the yellowish red fire.

“Grooor!!” the monster roared painfully as the fire burned its body. The oil in its body acted as a very good conductor for the fire. Kenshin didn’t stop his attack, he constantly supplied magic to the fire pillar, maintaining it until the monster was dead.

Five minutes later, the monster was finally dead. It was burned to death leaving not even ash behind.

Suddenly as if a miracle, the solid ground in front of him started rippling like water. Getting curious, he touched it with his hands. Without resistant, his hand went inside. Jerking his hands back, Kenshin looked at it in wonder. There was not any sign of abnormality in his hand, not even a speck of dust on it.

“Nice!”

After that, he started entering the rippling ground in front of him. As if a fish entering the water, he felt unusually free inside the ground, as if he was in the air and was freefalling down.

“Wohooo!!!” shouting in glee, Kenshin propelled up just by willing it. He was propelled up way faster than anything as if a jetpack was attached to his back.

*plop*

With a sound akin to a fish jumping out of the water, he came out of the ground. Performing an elegant flip in midair, he landed elegantly on the ground. At the same time struck a pose, like he was performing a dancing step.

“And that’s one monster down. Now back to the brats I guess.”
