-Vol 4: To The North Pole!-
--
“That Lyda! I hope she hasn't fucked up in her task.” A very deep masculine voice with some raspiness added to it sounded out in an otherwise silent ice cave in the middle of two big icy mountains. The owner of the voice was a man with brown skin and reddish-green hair shaped like a mohawk. He was extremely muscular, to the point that the biggy coat could barely handle his ripping muscles. The coat looked like a muscle shirt on his body. He was also wearing white karate pants, a very odd thing to wear in this extreme cold climate. As for his legs, he was barefoot.
Currently, he had his hands folded while sitting in a lotus position. Behind his back, there was a symbol of a golden skull, the same as Lyda and Roxe. With his mouth curved downwards, he seemed to be in a terrible mood or maybe it was his usual mood.
“I know we shouldn’t have her guard the first gate. That revenge driven bitch always does things her own way, screwing around master’s plans. And that Roxe, the bastard got killed by a low ranked hunter in a rundown place, how shameful!!” he was grumbling on his own, seemed to vent all his frustrations to some imaginary listener.
“That Leod, why do he supports her to such extent? I don’t under…Um!!” his ranting stopped midsentence as he felt something on his sensing range. It was subtle, very much so, but his sharp senses couldn't be mistaken. He felt the presence of two very powerful people in his vicinity.
“Some bugs seemed to have slipped into my area!!” while speaking so, he slowly stood up. Rattling noise could be heard as his joints made popping sounds. But even with this heavy sound, his movements were fluid and practised. It was a bizarre sight to see a muscular man moving so fluidly. It took him a scant few seconds to reach all the way to the edge of his sensory perception, in between scaled a few snow mountains and frozen lakes. But in this few seconds, he only stepped on the ground thrice. Its as if he didn’t weigh anything at all.

As he moved at his top speed, he finally saw two people standing in front of him. Two men, one was old while other was a middle-aged man. The old man was wearing a chang-pao, but from his face, it was clear that he didn’t belong to China. As for the other man, he was wearing a leather battle outfit, a long sword strapped to his back. He was a short man, and void of any hair, be it facial hair or head-hair. He was also wearing dark shades, all in all, he was giving off a killer vibe.
“Old man, it seems we found our rat.” The short, middle-aged man spoke.
“Hmm!!” the old man nodded his head.
Although they seemed to not care about it, on the inside, they were battle ready, with their guard raised to the maximum.
“Who are you?” shouting this, the man with the golden skull logo, appeared in a flash. The weird part was that such a big man appeared, but not a single fluctuation could be seen on the ground or felt in the air. But this didn’t surprise the two people, for people of their power, size didn’t matter, only skill and power matters.
Both parties didn’t say anything, opting to check the other party out. The two men in strange outfits noticed the golden logo on the man’s chest as an understanding light flashed on their eyes.
“You must be the bugs that bitch warned us about! I can’t let you guys ruin our plan, I will kill you two here.” the muscle man announced in a loud voice. It seems although he was powerful, his intelligence wasn’t up to the mark. With just one sentence he answered all the unasked question of the two men.
“Well, in that case, we will see if you have the ability or not” the old man said arrogantly.
“Old man!! can you stop copying lines from those Chinese novels?” the other, middle-aged man spoke tiredly.

“Hmph! Like you are one to talk, you ninja freak!”
“Huh! What was that you shitty old man?”
“Hmph! Who are you calling shitty old man?”
Like kids, they both started to bickering, completely forgetting about the muscular man in front of them who was looking at them with twitching eyes.
“Who are you to belittle Chinese novels? Those are a work of art.” The old man angrily spoke, swishing his long sleeves in the process.
“What? Work of art? Hmph! Japanese Novels were the best, it clearly provides with all kind of genres and lores, not like bland unidirectional stories you read.” The middle-aged man countered.
“Huh!”
“Huh!” they both bumped their heads as they quarrelled about their preferred novels. Then they both at the same time looked at the muscle man and asked, “What do you think? Which novel is better?”
A vein popped the muscle man’s head. A flame of fury burned on his eyes. Raising his right hand, he aimed a punch towards them both while shouting, “Like I care!”
They both quite easily avoided his punch. The old man just took a few steps back and exaggeratedly swished his sleeves, while the middle-aged man just vanished and appeared a few steps back.
The man’s fist stopped midway, but it created a shockwave that nearly cleaned all the snow in the vicinity. A huge airwave generated as it travels for a few meters, blowing away everything in its path. Had been Kenshin was here, he would have surprised to see this phenomenon as it was the same as his newly created sword skill. But the difference was, the muscular man generated the same effect as his skill, with just a casual move of his hands. From this, one can clearly measure his powers in comparison to Kenshin.
“Before we fight, can I ask what are you?” the old man asked. They had got the information that some of the ascended humanoid creatures were behind this mess in the north, as such he wanted to know which species he was fighting with.
“Hmph! Like I will tell you. You are dying here anyway today. Dying people didn’t need to know anything, they should silently die.” The muscled man screamed as all the muscles in his body expanded like a balloon that was filled with air. As he buffed up, the cloak strangely didn’t tear apart like what it should have happened. It seemed to have some elastic property to it.
“big talks! I would like to see if you have the ability or not.” The old man spoke lightly as he stepped forth towards the buffed up man. Suddenly his palms started to glow golden color as he aimed it towards the buffed up man’s chest.
On the contrary, the buffed up man didn’t avoid it. With a smirk, he showed his chest to him. ‘
Smiling arrogantly, the old man continued with his palm, but when it touched the chest, with a ‘gong’ sound, it got deflected. But that’s not all, the old man suddenly felt a numbing pain on his palm. Despite coating it in that strange golden aura, he still felt that numbing pain. The surprise on his eyes couldn’t be explained in words.
“This one is powerful!!” after regaining his footing, the old man gravely warned the middle-aged man while shaking his right hand, as if to wipe away the pain.
