-Vol 4: To The North Pole!-

-Completing The Third Mission-

With a ‘pop’ sound, Kenshin came out of the ground just a few meters away from the place where the key pentagram was located and found himself in a dimly lited hallway.

‘This place! Is it still inside that cave?’ he was a little amazed at how well maintained this place was; an indication that these cloaked bastards were planning this for years. As he followed through the map, he found himself in front of a room that was glowing like a bulb. But the problem was that he couldn’t get inside. A barrier was preventing from doing so.

Looking carefully, he found a floating pentagram diagram in the middle that was emitting a pillar of light going beyond the room.

“This must be the final sigil!” seeing the target in front of him, Kenshin became excited. Just as he was about to use his Opposites to get past the barrier, a sudden burst of energy came out of the pentagram and hurled him out. The pillar of light which was thin initially had become thick by a few inches after that burst of energy. Kenshin hastily controlled his momentum and stood up only to see the spectacle of thickening light pillar. Even though he didn’t know the usage of the runes, he could still tell that it wasn’t a good sign.

And when he was about thinking of something to bypass the barrier, out of nowhere, a huge pressure bore down upon him, as if a whole mountain was resting on his shoulders. Kenshin found it hard even to stand and kneeled down on the spot. As the time passed, he began to sweat uncontrollably, and even his breathing became laboured.

‘What the hell is happening? This feeling! It was similar to when Vera used her Intent, only thousands of time worse.’ Kenshin frantically used his WIL and newly formed Intent to counter the crushing pressure but to no avail. The ground started to crack around him while Kenshin was fighting with that crushing force.

Several notifications like this continued to pop up back to back as he fought to stabilize himself in the crushing pressure. But Kenshin was in a condition to check them, he was busy with fighting the pressure that was so heavy that he felt sort in his breath.

Outside the situation was worse.

The tiny crack in the sky had expanded, and a huge golden arm came out of it. This golden arm was holding to one side of the spatial crack, preventing it from closing down. On the ground, everyone including Ade’el was kneeling at the unbearable pressure, the same one Kenshin was experiencing.

‘It's only an arm, how can it have that much pressure?’ Ade’el thought as his brows were furrowed. He was trying his hardest to bear the pressure emanating from the arm. He had completely underestimated a DemiGod level being. He never knew just their mere presence would be enough to kill them. Right now, he was unable to move let alone do anything. He could only pray that this creature would control his strength or else they all would die.

‘That man never told me about this pressure! No more importantly I have never imagined that the presence of a level 300 life form would be too much for me. That bitch…he didn’t even tell me that.’ finally, Ade’el realized why it was impossible for someone to get past level 299 on a lower world like Earth.

Its simply not possible, the world wouldn’t allow it.

Generally to level up, one has to slay a beast that was higher level than them. But in the earth there were no beasts beyond level 250, how can anybody become a DemiGod in here? Suddenly Ade’el had an epiphany, if only the arm of a single level 300 being was capable of exerting this much pressure on the world, what would happen if a whole bunch of level 300 creatures had to roam in here?

World Destruction-that’s what would happen.

On the other side, those who were yet to touch level 150, already laying flat on their stomachs. As for those seven people, they were also like him, struggling to endure the pressure.

“You Devil! What are you trying to bring into this world?” the old man who acted as the leader shouted with his hoarse voice while looking towards him in despair.

“A helper…but it seems this helper is too much for me to handle.” Ade’el would normally laugh at the despair-filled the face of the old man, but since he was in the same condition, he refrained from doing so. In his greed, he released a double-edged weapon unto the world. Not only it would harm his enemies, but even he also wouldn’t be spared from its range.

It's not only them. Currently, half of Asia was affected by this crushing pressure. In some places, it was even affecting with gravity and causing mass casualties. Chaos and mayhem were all over the world, and the monster had yet to reveal its whole body.

[WARNING* The time limit has been reduced to 30 minutes]

“Fuck!” When Kenshin saw this notification, he couldn’t help but curse out loud. Five hours was short enough, now it was being reduced to just 30 minutes. What the hell?

He even tried to use Opposites, but it was no help at all. At most, it healed his fatigued body and did nothing else. Opposites only affect those forces which the user was aware of. If the user weren’t aware of the force affecting him, the Opposites would be rendered useless.

Although Kenshin was feeling pressure, he didn’t know the source. Since he didn’t know the source, he couldn’t use Opposites to counter it. This was a major weakness of the Opposites.

For now, he could only hope that his WIL and PHY would level up enough to handle this pressure within this thirty minutes, or else everything would be for nought.

For the time being, Kenshin loosened his body and laid there, waiting for his body to get adapted to the pressure. At the same time, he was watching the constant notifications going by while anticipating the time when he would be standing up and destroy that pentagram.

Fifteen minutes passed, Kenshin started to fidget on his spot. He had yet to get used to the pressure and half of the time allotted had already gone by.

“No! I can't wait any longer. I have to hurry and destroy that pentagram…I have to endure this pressure.” Abandoning his idea of waiting for the time when he would be getting used the pressure, Kenshin decided to make do with this.

Using all the force in his body, while grunting like a bull, he somehow kneeled from his laying position. Although he tried to stand up, his body couldn’t handle it, so he abandoned that. Then he started to crawl towards the room.

When he re-encountered the barrier, he used Opposites and bypassed it without a hitch. The distance, which would have been taken a few seconds, took a minute and a half to reach. Amidst this 90 seconds of crawling, he had passed through his natural limiter five times. Under this pressure, even crawling allowed him to get stronger.

“This is the last of it…Yaaa!!” Shouting at the top of his lungs, he encompassed his body with Opposites and Exploding Domain and caused a massive explosion that rocked the very cave itself.

Then, he completely lost strength in his body and fell down face first. He didn’t lose his consciousness, only the power in his body.
