-Lily’s proposal(2)-

Kawakuchi family was, in the end, a century-old family. Kenshin alone might not be enough to extinguish them with the amount of political status he had. Here, Lily came with an excellent solution. Now that all the grievance between them was cleared, she was back to her usual self while around Kenshin. Acting like a spoiled little girl, she grabbed Kenshin’s hand and pulled on it.

“Disgusting!” Lily’s baritone voice came like a blizzard in cold weather, freezing the mellow mood in an instant.

“Eh! Mood killer! Why are you always like this?” Yuki pouted, making a long a face. At the same time, Kenshin blushed in embarrassment after Lily’s sudden imposing. He was still very uncomfortable with being lovy dovy in public.

“Why am I like this? Are you seriously asking this? How can you even think about the date when there was a lot of work piled up in your table? Have you forgotten about the recent situation with sea monsters? How can you think about ditching work?” as if having a bunch of piled of stress, Lily started to rain down her anger on a guilty looking Yuki.

“I can leave that to those perverted old men and baldy Ke” Yuki said with unusual seriousness.

‘Yuki…you…Ah! I am speechless.’ Shaking his head, Kenshin could only see the two quarreling with a straight face while holding in laughter. He also felt bad for those so-called perverted old men and that baldy Ke.

“Mr. Kenshin, I am sorry that she couldn’t go on a date with you now. As for that child porn racket, how about you raid on it tonight. I will make an official mission for you!” Lily asked with a frown. She was very disgusted even while speaking that racket’s name. She couldn’t understand these people’s cruelty and perverted tendencies to make children do such things!

“No problem. I can do all that but, I have a condition.”

“That is?” she narrowed her eyes at him and waited for him to continue.

“I don’t wanna credit, neither I want to be known by others. I will be entering incognito. If possible, you can make it a top-secret operation and file it in my records. If you can't then there was no problem in not mentioning it. Nonetheless, even if you don’t say this, I would still have destroyed them tonight. They are cancer in society, an eyesore.” Kenshin's passion-filled sentence impressed both women, especially Yuki who started to gush at his selflessness and bravery.

“If that’s your wish, then it can be done as well. It will be a top secret operation in your file that can only be visible to those in high order…will that be okay with you?”

“Umm! Okay. Tomorrow morning, you will receive the news of annihilation of this racket first thing in the morning.” Kenshin boldly claimed, and he was sure that he could do it as well. He had the power, he had the means…most of all, It was his duty to do this.

“Then I will watch tomorrow morning news expectantly. For now, you have to excuse us. There is a lot of work piled up, and we must complete them before tonight. Mrs. Yuki, please come.”

“Okay. I will be careful. I won't even let a single scratch to appear on this body of mine. So you must rest assured of my ability.” Kenshin smiled and consoled her. At the same time, he ran his hands through her hair, feeling their silkiness in between his fingers. Yuki blushed at this before anger flashed in her eyes when she remembered Kenshin’s ability.

“Wait a moment, speaking of ability, you didn’t tell me about having such a mysterious ability like controlling time?” Kenshin caught off guard by her question before letting out an embarrassed laugh.

“Its because you didn’t ask me about it. Besides, it wasn’t controlling time. It’s a little different than that.”

“What’s the difference?”

“I don’t know. I just awakened this ability recently.”
