Looking at the sword in hand, Kenshin felt very warm in his heart. It’s a feeling every swordsman would have when they get a sword that suited to their tastes. Kenshin also executed the other Tiger faced Shark like the previous one, of course, he didn’t manage to trigger the critical strike bonus and one shot it. But still, without using his skills or any skills, with purely ATK power of the sword and his own ATK, he killed the monster with over 9000 HP in only four strikes.

Of course, the title bonus of his [Surpasser] also activated when facing these monsters. His level was 81, making these monsters 8 levels higher than his. According to the title’s bonus, his stats increased by 20%. Sometimes, these % increases were more valuable than a fixed increase. It was especially true for those who had very high stats. To them, the increase in stats by 10 or 20 points won’t change anything.

After killing them, Kenshin bought a scabbard for his new sword and sheathed it and strapped it to his waist using the belt he received after killing the second Tiger Faced Shark. The belt, as well as scabbard, was named as such:

Pontiff’s scabbard cost him 2000 gold coins, one-tenth of the price of the sword. Although he felt his heart bleeding, since it was required, Kenshin bought it in the end. The sword was 260cm long, twice of an average longsword, the scabbard was made to hold the sword, and its length was nearly 280 cm. after strapping it to the belt, the end of the scabbard touched the ground.

The sword was even longer than him, with the scabbard its length increased again. If not for hiding his [Inventory] he wouldn’t have gone through such lengths.

After killing the two Tiger faced Sharks, he continued his journey towards the second boat’s set course. He was yet to check out the two skills of the sword. He was itching to check’em out. While he was moving a small island came to his view. This island wasn’t big, just a few meters in area. Except for the rocks, it didn’t have anything interesting about it.

But Kenshin knew better. In fact, this was not an island at all, it’s a massive sea monster. If not for his map, he would have missed it entirely. Opening his system, he tried to scan it.

“A defense-oriented stat! This one had gone through its first awakening, as a defense type monster, its DEF gained the most benefit. But that [Force Disruption] I want that skill.” Kenshin made his mind. He would kill this turtle and replicate that skill. Normally it would have been impossible for him to copy it since it was 2 levels above his Replication’s level. But his Replication had another function, if he kills a monster while using the skill on it, there was a chance that he would be able to replicate that skill after the monster’s death.

At that time it didn’t matter if his Replication’s level is lower or not.

At that time a notification popped on his status screen.

Just as the notification popped, Kenshin suddenly felt weird, like something is trying to get out of his body. Suppressing it forcefully, he opened his status screen and focussed on the attribute panel. The numbers made him pale as though he had seen a ghost. Although he had a feeling that this would happen, still when this really happened, he couldn’t help but feel happy.

His every stat had increased by 100% and appeared as a separate entity from his main stat. This made his already monstrous stats even more unbelievable. In fact, his stats could now match those 200+ level, old men. Of course, this was only his guess, as he had yet to see a real level 200+ person’s stats. Due to his low level, even if the man allowed him, he could still not view it.

At this time, he suddenly remembered that he had yet to try out the traits of the sword. With his twice the amount of ATK, if he didn’t give enough time for the turtle to activate its skill, he might possibly one shot it. There were two factors to be noted here, one, the over-excessive defense of the turtle which was just 300 points shy from 2000, and the DEF skill, that would resist 60% of an ATK.

His stats were now doubled, making his total ATK over 3000. With his [One point stab] trait of the sword, he could increase his ATK 5 times again, making that 3000, 15,000. Taking out 60% of his total ATK, he was still left with 6000 ATK. Taking out 1700 ATK again, he was left with 4,300 ATK. The monster’s HP was 5000. If he coats the sword in his Intent, the ATK will increase by 200 points. That would leave only 500 HP left of the monster.

Result- He couldn’t insta-kill it.

“If only I can trigger the Critical hit, that would solve everything. But that’s a chance-dependent thing. But, right now, my LUK has also doubled. I hope I can manage to trigger the Critical hit bonus.” Mumbling to himself in a low voice, Kenshin got ready to kill the turtle. Even if he couldn’t trigger the critical hit bonus, he could still kill it by using another skill at the end.

Pointing the sword tip at the head of the turtle, which also looks like a small mountain, Kenshin took his position. He didn’t know just how big this turtle was but judging from its shell which was shaped like a small mountain, he could somewhat guess its size.

“Now!” shouting, he used the sword’s trait which instantly increased his ATK by 5 times. A red light coated the sword which was from his Intent, below the red light, a faint blue light emerged from the sword tip, which was probably from the effect fo [One Point Stab]. Accelerating his speed, and using all the force he could manage, Kenshin passed through the light film of [Force Disruption] first which dissipated his ATK by 5%. The turtle instantly alerted and activated its skill [Shell Block].

Another 60% of his total ATK was blocked again. Now he was left with only 5,700 ATK from his initial 15,200 ATK. At the same time, the monster’s natural DEF came into play, blocking another 1700 ATK.

“Shit! The critical hit didn’t trigger!” just before the sword could touch the rocky skin of the turtle, a thin arc of traceless wind emerged from the sword tip and rushed towards the monster. It was his [Earthen Slicer] skill which he activated even in such a small time frame of microseconds. It was all thanks to his doubled INT and WIS. The 2000 ATK of the skill instantly busied the natural defense of the turtle, and the remaining 300 ATk tore open a gash on the rock-hard skin of the monster. A microsecond later Kenshin’s sword arrived at the opened gash.

The sword entered until the hilt, fully embedding itself into it. For the sake of safety, Kenshin activated [Fire Manipulation] which was evolved from [Flamign Slash] skill through his sword and dealt another 2000 damage to it.

A notification popped instantly.

“Ho! Lucky!! Is it because of my doubled stats?” Kenshin couldn’t help but wonder out loud when he saw all the skills of the turtle was now available for him to copy.
