“Hello, Kenshin? Where are you now?” while he was just about to call Joy to bring his car as soon as possible, Yuki called him.

“Hey, babe, I am in my home right now. What about you?” asked Kenshin as he became comfortable on the wall of his balcony. While doing so, he absentmindedly fiddled with the leash of his short pants. At the same time, a smile could be seen on his face.

“Good, I am coming to your place right now, wait, do one thing, pick me up from xxx shop near the XXX lane…” after that, she cut off her call. Looking at the ID that showed his call time, which was only 45 seconds, he narrowed his eyes before shrugging off his shoulders.

“Guys, I am going to pick up Yuki, will be back in half an hour tops.” With that, he only threw in his t-shirt before going out of the house. Looking at his rapidly retreating back, Mrs. Yui came out before leaning towards Ena while asking, “what’s the deal with Yuki? Did they finally seal the deal?”

“I think so too… master has been talking and spending a lot of time with her whenever he can. I think he had already proposed to her.” Ena revealed with knitted brows, an expression mimicked by Mrs. Yui too, of course, they both didn’t realize it. After this small talk, they returned to their respective works, not realizing that their conversation had been heard by an unexpected fellow, the little devil Ellie. Her face suddenly extended into a grin that could only be worn by a devil.

On the other hand, due to not having his car readily available with him, Kenshin had to book a taxi before going to the place Yuki told him to while cursing Joy a lot in the process. He couldn’t understand why he, who actually owns a car, had to book a taxi to fetch his girlfriend. The irony of the situation wasn’t lost on him.

“Hey, babe, where are you? I am standing where you asked me to.” After reaching the spot, Kenshin called Yuki once again. He could have used his map to spot her, but he didn’t, as it would ruin this romantic pleasure of waiting for a girlfriend. Kenshin was new to this whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing, and so do Yuki. They both had never engaged in a relationship before this and could only resort to doing what their heart tells them to and of course taking advice from their friends.

“Just a minute. I am currently in a shop not far.” After that short notice, she hung up the phone. Before she did, though, he was able to hear some kind of talk about cost price, ‘maybe she was buying something for herself,’ thinking of this, he just silently stood there. It was not until ten minutes did she appear, holding a handbag of a clothing store in her left hand.

“Hey, did you wait for me long?” asked the girl as she adjusted her hair, putting a strand of it behind her ears. She wore a pair of two-third pants, a white shirt, and a cap. On her foot, she wore trendy pink-colored sneakers. With her hair in a long ponytail, she exuded a kind of young and energetic charm that mesmerized our hero, making him speechless.

“Wow, you look fantastic!” Kenshin honestly said as she checked her out from top to bottom. It's not only him, but even the surrounding men and a few women too were also checking her out. This made Kenshin feel quite proud to be able to bag such a girl. With his male vanity satisfied, she suddenly felt daring. Taking her hand in his, he pulled her closer before wrapping his hands around her in a tight hug.

Having caught unprepared, Yuki could only allow him to do what he wants while blushing up a storm. After a few seconds, she regained her bearings and proceeded to pinch his back like there’s no tomorrow, “w, what are you doing? There are so many people here!!” as she complained about the sudden boldness of Kenshin, not that she disliked it.

“So what? I am just hugging my girlfriend, what’s there to be shy about?” filled with boundless confidence due to having the sudden realization that he now no longer a single guy, Kenshin awoken to his inner wolf who would prey upon the red-riding hood.

“Stop it!! this is not a place to act upon your instincts.” As much Yuki protested, Kenshin didn’t let her go, even though she didn’t stop pinching him from the start. Of course, those pinches felt like soft caresses to him, but still, he showed her the reaction that he was actually enduring the pain.

After hugging her for a few minutes, Kenshin finally let her go before grabbing her left hand while holding her stuff in his right hand. Then he guided her towards the taxi he bought for the day and have the driver park nearby so that he could pick her up.

“Look those two, aren’t they just the cutest!? I wish my boyfriend to love me like that…”

“Nice couple! Though I feel like such a beautiful girl is wasted on that poor chap.”

“I wish they just explode like that…”

The surrounding people gave their comments without restraint. Even though they just survived a near annihilation of their town, right now, they behaved like nothing happened. Their vitality was really something.

“Why this taxi? What happened to your car?” asked Yuki as she became comfortable in the front seat of the taxi. Looking back towards Kenshin, who was making a face as if he just ate a frog while sitting on the back seat, she asked. But then she couldn’t stop her laughter after seeing his face and explained, “I easily get motion sick and vomit prone when sitting on a car’s back seat. Sorry~”

“No problem, I understand… that damned Joy took my car to buy some expensive beverages. Said it was to celebrate our victory.” Answered Kenshin before getting comfortable on the car’s back seat. Now that his fantasy had been broken, he could only get himself comfortable while waiting for his ride to stop.

“Hmm, he managed to sneak out your keys? What are you doing?” asked Yuki, feeling weird at the whole situation. As Kenshin’s girlfriend, she, of course, knew the dynamics between Kenshin, Joy, and Chiba. She also knew how much Kenshin hated giving his car to Joy.

“I was sleeping in my room when this happened. I thought I would just get a shut-eye as both Joy and Chiba were knocked out… but never thought my sleep would last for a whole afternoon. Speaking of Chiba, the poor girl was now affiliated with sickness due to overdrawing her magic. I have messaged Joy to bring her mother while he comes back from the mart.”

“What? Really? Is she alright? Do you need me to assign her to a hospital?” Yuki instantly showed a panic-stricken expression. She had already treated her as her little sister, and the fact that Chiba had an innocent crush on Kenshin was no stranger to her, to which she would often tease her when Kenshin was not around. As of now, Chiba held the same weight in her heart as Aoi.

So when she heard that her sister was sick, it was an obvious thing that she would get nervous.
