《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 31 - Drilling them hard

Bob spent two weeks finalizing everything with his organization, and training. Things were coming along smoothly for him. Bob currently had over 50 people under him. It was still a small number compared to other organizations or groups, but because the number was so small Bob could get to know each of them.
Before Bob left Vile Island, he gave Bella a few den-den mushi's. One normal one to contact him or anyone else, three baby den-den mushi so she could give them out to others if need be, he also gave her two white den-den mushi so none of their conversations could be intercepted.
Tim was disappointed that Bob was leaving so soon, but he said he already knew what his next weapon would be. It was all thanks to Bob giving him the chance to study Black Death.
Tim was able to create the Dragunov sniper rifle that Bob wanted. The range on it was roughly 80 meters, which surpassed the rifles that the marines had. The reload time was shorter as well.
The hardest part for Tim was coming up with the bullets for it. He was only able to produce two hundred of them.
Bob liked talking to Tim, because his ideas could come to life.
Bob asked Tim before he left if it was possible to create bullet shells out of seastone. To which Tim replied he doesn't know because he's never handled seastone before.
Bob knew that was the fatal weakness of every devil fruit user.
Bob told Tim if he ever obtained any seastone, he wanted Tim to create a few weapons for him.
Bob left Vile Island and went back to Blacktown, where he was welcomed. Dave started asking him a few questions as usual to which Bob gave him answers to.
Bob got to know the 15 people Dave recruited, as well as the other men Jacob introduced him to.
As much as he did not like it, Bob rushed them off back to Vile Island. He gave them one den-den mushi, one white den den mushi, and one black den den mushi. Bob told them that those needed to stay on the ship at all times, as once they got on land they already had a base there that they could go to, to collect any information.
Everyone was eager to go, as this would be a first for some of them to get off the island they were on.
Once Bob shipped those people out, he told everyone else they needed to train hard for upcoming events.
Bob spent three days working on character sheets for pirates he knew. Such as Luffy's entire pirate crew, Dragon, Whitebeard, the seven warlords, Ace, Marco, Law, the eleven supernova, Blackbeard. The list went on and on, he did not have a picture of all of them yet, but once he obtained it he would put it in their file.

He did that in the morning, and spent the rest of his time training his sword skills as well as his haki. Bob didn't forget to spar with John and Ron as well.
Once the character sheets were completed, Bob gave them to Dave and told him to make copies. After copies were made, have a group send it over to Vile Island.
However, before that Bob asked Dave to go see Vanthof and take any wanted posters he had and see if he had any information on pirates. He wanted to see if the marines also kept character sheets like him.
Dave was put to work, and he was working hard too. Bob noticed slight changes in Dave, as he started talking differently sometimes. He wondered if him telling Dave to be ruthless had anything to do with it.
Bob shook his head, that couldn't be the reason.
The next couple of days were tough on the recruits that joined Bob. When Bella notified Bob that she received the 15 people that came from Blacktown he got excited.
Bob started having them run drills with each other. First he assigned them callsigns, which was to be used over the radio only so others could identify who was talking. They only had two bases now, but once they expanded things would get crazier. If Bob did not teach them this now, it'd only mess things up later.
He assigned them their callsign based on where they were located.
Once that was done, Bob had them start calling each other back and forth, passing along information, seeing if the information they receive matched up and more. Bob said the key to being a successful organization was making sure information was passed along.
If one group held onto some information and did not share it, how would the others be up to date on key events, people or treasures? It was impossible!
Bob started giving them jobs, like one person was in charge of talking and replying on the radio/den-den mushi. A few others would be recording any information that they received. Someone was in charge of making sure the map of the east blue and grandline was always updated with their locations.
Bob wore them out with their drills, he needed to make sure they did it enough to where it would soon become second nature.
He even went out on the ship and pretended like he was updating his location, asking for information about certain people etc. Bob wanted to make sure everything ran smoothly.
While Bob was busy drilling his subordinates, Dave gave him all the bounties and information that Vanthof had stored at the base. Bob was disappointed they weren't really character sheets.
He assigned a group of people to take the wanted posters and make copies, one copy needed to go into the file of each person. Then the files had to be organized in alphabetical order. Bob gave them an example character sheet, and told them to create one for every person who had a bounty on them.

If they did not know any information about the person, then leave it blank until they found out. When the sheets were completed, he told them to make sure a copy go to the base on Vile Island. And if the people on Vile Island could update the sheets, then they should and send it over here via radio.
Bob wished they had a fax machine, would make things a heck of a lot easier. Instead of spending three days going to one island, and three days going to another one.
After his two weeks training, Bob was finally ready to set out once again. He was glad information was being passed along smoothly, and things were being updated every half hour.
Bob came to a decision, they had twelve people that were interested in hunting down pirates. They would also take on some special bounty cases, such as going after rich nobles, merchants, slave traders etc. Bob started to wonder how he should split the group up.
Group with all twelve people would be nice and all, but it wouldn't be good for training purposes. If Bob wanted to strengthen his fighting force, they each needed to go their own separate ways and hunt down others in smaller groups. That way all the members would gain experience.
Bob got together with John and Ron.
They were in the tavern ran by Ash. Things were looking much better in this place after it was renovated. Ash had pretty ladies showing off a small part of their assets, she also managed to convince that cook she wanted to come work for her.
The drinks still weren't the greatest, but that could be improved at a later date. However, this place was already more crowded than before.
Luckily, Bob had a table reserved for him and his group.
"What's going on?"
John asked as he looked at Bob.
"Well as you know, our organization is functioning well, but our combat personal are lacking experience."
Bob said.
John nodded.
"Right, i've been showing them different moves, however, not all of them are cut out for swordplay. Some would rather wield daggers, axes, guns even staves. I only know how to use swords, and Ron just started using daggers. What they need now is real life experience, not sparring. Things that will put their life in danger."
John said.
"I was thinking the same thing, but I fear that if we move as twelve, not everyone will be able to fight and gain experience. Some will be lacking. So i've gathered you both here to give you an important mission."
John and Ron were both silent. They were listening closely to Bob.
Bob spread out the map of the grand line on the table.
"Pay attention, i'm giving each of you control over your own group. How you build them and what you do with them is up to you. Have fun, enjoy life, but be sure not to die."
Bob pointed to Water 7's location on the map.
"In 6 months, 6 months exactly from today. We will meet up again here at Water 7."
John and Ron leaned in and stared at the map hard, trying to engrave it in their memory.
"Got it?"
Bob asked the two of them. They both nodded.
"Good! You've seen me do it twice, so you should have a general idea of how to do it as well. When you go to a new island, be sure to set up a base there. It'll be like a checkpoint for our future members. Once it is set up, contact the main base, Dave will be here running things. He'll organize a group of people to be stationed there.
Every hour, you'll be requested for your location, although it'll be annoying just make sure you keep everyone posted on your whereabouts. Ron, I know you can't talk, so you can have someone do it for you instead.
That's the main point, is for us to expand.
While expansion comes first, be sure to keep your crew updated. Meaning make sure they have good equipment, they aren't injured, they are being fed and taken care of. I don't care if you recruit new people onto your crew.
If you feel you get too large, break your group off and have a senior member take half and you two go your separate ways. This will continue and continue down the line. However at the end, we all meet up at Water 7 in six months!"
John and Ron both nodded once more.
"Now, who do you want in your squads?"
"You can pick first."
John said.
"It doesn't really matter to me, but since you said so, i'll pick first. I'll take Luna, the two longleg brother and sister, and lastly i'll take anyone you don't want."
"Alright, in that case i'll take Dick and Larry, as for the other two i'll have that brown haired kid and the dwarf."
John looked at Ron.
Ron wrote down his list of people as well.
"You alright with who you have Ron? I'm willing to trade if you want."
Bob said, since Ron had the leftovers. Leaving him basically no options.
Ron smiled but nodded his head, saying he was ok with who he had.
"Alright, tomorrow we set sail. Our destination is loguetown, we need to obtain log post for you guys as well as buy you some ships. Loguetown is where we will part ways."

Witch Hunt. A Warhammer Fiction
The adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt continue!Adebar von Bolstedt, fugitive noble scion of the Empire, stuck in the Great Forest of Talabecland, is gravely wounded by the bestial denizens of the dark wintery woods, only surviving due to the timely arrival of aid and relief in the form of the masters of this land. What begins as a pleasant stay with the wild noblemen of Talabecland soon becomes a matter of faith and tradition as old as the Empire itself, when he finds himself trying to root out a coven of witches from a society that prides itself on rural living and knowledge of the mysteries of the wild. This quest will either see von Bolstedt's shaken faith in his own god reforged into an intolerant blade, or shattered like ice. Word from the AuthorGreetings! Witch Hunt plays out in the much beloved Warhammer Fantasy setting (owned, of course, by Games Workshop). Do not fret, however, as I've made it a point to make the story digestible even to the uninitiated, and maybe even be a good introduction to the setting. This is the second part of the adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt, as such I recommend reading part one, titled "The Hand of Sigmar" first. While I cannot claim the places, concepts and gods etc. mentioned within as my own, the story and all characters flowed from my own fingers.
